Before this chat - I contacted them several times since No game would load and I tried different computers and everything that I could, This is what it all stopped at in the end . Apperantly swedes are not allowed at Playtech anymore, strange since I just played a different casino.
They offered me a different Software - however they could not tell me what software it would be.
Is this really ok?

you: Hello again

Jonathan: Hi, Marie. Same problem?

you: so I tried a different computer
you: same problem
you: I also tried the laptop with a cable

Jonathan: I am going to look into this for you. I will be back with you shortly.
you: thanks
Jonathan: I apologize for the delay. I'll be with you shortly...
Jonathan: I will be right with you...
Jonathan: Thank you for continuing to wait. I'll be with you in just a moment...
you: sure
Jonathan: It looks like the casino service we offered you for download is not available for Swedish customers. We are going to give you a different software to use.
Jonathan: I'm sorry it took me so long to figure that out, Marie!
Jonathan: However, at this point, what we'll want to do is erase the casino/poker software.

you: ehh , still playtech?

Jonathan: Then, we'll give you new software to download.
you: Ok
Jonathan: I can't specify the provider, but we'll give you a different software.
Jonathan: One moment, please.

you: Ok, this is a bit weird for me. i was in the mood for playtech, I love the games and if u are going to give me something else that is just not intresting..
you: I appreciate your help though =)

Jonathan: Unfortunately, Playtech doesn't offer service to Sweden anymore.
you: are u serious? i played earlier today
Jonathan: We've reset you to a different provider, and you're welcome to uninstall Playtech and download that, if you want.

you: a different casino, but still playtech
you: what is the provider?

Jonathan: Unfortunately, I'm not at liberty to say. I'm sorry.

you: so you are not allowed to tell me what software I will play at?

Jonathan: Unfortunately not, since the provider is integrated into Sports Interaction.
you: Ok, so how long will it take me to get my money back that I have deposited at? To my neteller account?

Jonathan: Typically, this takes 24-48 hours.

you: even though you have made a mistake?

you: it shouldnt be so hard for you to just refund my money straight away...

Jonathan: I apologize for not realizing that Playtech doesn't service Sweden. However, we are offering an alternative.
Jonathan: In any case, the processing time is unavoidable, much as we'd like to help.

you: Yes, and I appreciate that, however it is a bit rougish to me when you cant tell me who is the software provider...
you: Anyways, please remove my bonus, I will make a withdrawl
you: Do i need to send in documents or anything=
Jonathan: You may be asked to do so by our Security Department upon withdrawal.
Jonathan: I will remove your bonus now; one moment, please.

you: Ok, can i send them in straight away to avoid anymore time beeing spilled? Where do I send them?

Jonathan: Your account balance is now $50--I do not see any bonus on this end.
Jonathan: You may have a had a casino bonus, which would have been automatically forfeited when we put your money back in sportsbook.
you: ok, hold on

Jonathan: There is no impediment to withdrawing right away.
Jonathan: When you request your withdrawal, you will see a link listing any necessary documents.

you: ok, i am done... Can u please send a copy of this chat to my email=
you: Never mind - i found it
Jonathan: When you end the chat, you will have a function to do this.
Jonathan: Is there anything else I may help you with?
you: no thank you!
you: Have a nice day/night

info: Your chat transcript will be sent to xxx@hotmail.com at the end of your chat.
Jonathan: I'm sorry for the trouble, Marie.
Jonathan: You too!

Jonathan: Thanks for chatting with me! I would appreciate if you would rate the service I have given you today. Please click the "Close" button to answer 4 short questions.

If they are switching you to the other platform, then it is probably the CTXM the US players are redirected to. According to the SIA rep, it downloads as sportsinteraction casino . The games are kind of cheesy and there aren't many slots to chose from, if that is what you are looking for, JMO.

Astonishing on more than one level that an operator would expect players to blindly accept an unidentified and unknown software alternative. I guess only experienced players are concerned about the software they are using.

I'm really puzzled about why this customer service rep was instructed not to disclose the software when its widely known elsewhere. The casino should have the software names listed on the site.

Hi,

We use a bespoke platform for US players - not CTXM.

I corrected this at the beginning of the thread.

Thanks

maybe he meant bespooked and there is a deadly curse on the software

Looks like an integrated white label solutions provider, offering everything an operator needs in a "one stop shop". This is clearly a SECOND CLASS option where Playtech cannot be offered to customers.

The odd thing is, if this is a Playtech decision, how come the OP can play at OTHER Playtech casinos?

Still, if it's Playtech the OP prefers, the solution seems quite simple;)

When it comes to accreditation however, it is hardly reassuring when even the NAME of the software the player is being offered is "sensitive", and so cannot be disclosed.

First we are told it is this CTXM, rather than Playtech, that is offered to US players, then the rep posts a retraction, saying:-

We use a bespoke platform for US players - not CTXM.

I corrected this at the beginning of the thread.

Now, it seems this applies not only to US players, but now Swedish players too, and was something that CS were clearly unaware of in their earlier attempts to fix the problem.

Now, we have Playtech for most, but US and Swedish players have a software that is unidentified, thus CANNOT be considered to have been independently tested for fairness, and a great deal of cloak & dagger stuff from the operator, instead of a simple answer to a simple question of "what software is this?".

The last time a casino got all secretive about the software, it turned out to be rogue, and the software some kind of "turnkey solution" from a company marketing itself as "Salus Technology". The software itself wasn't just "cheesy" in that case, it was ripped off from a number of major suppliers.

I logged on to the CTXM site, where there is an example "demo casino". Rather helpfully, it just loaded a blank page, and would proceed no further. At least players aren't going to lose money on these games:rolleyes:

Having fair and independently tested software is one of the basic requirements for a legitimate operation, and if even a small number of players are ringfenced into an unknown and untested product, the operation as a whole surely does not meet the standards for accreditation, as this has to be based on ALL players getting EQUAL standards of transparency and fairness in their dealings.

The software may well be legit and fair, but without knowing what it is, and whether, and by whom, it has been tested, it cannot be considered "safe" as far as play for real money is concerned.

I am wondering what other countries are going to find themselves shunted into this unknown software, since up until now, we have been told this ONLY affected US players, and this was down to Playtech.

What's wrong with RTG as a solution to the "no Playtech" problem? - they take ANYBODY, are well recognised by US players, and well known and independently tested enough that despite some concerns, most other players will accept it as a substitute for Playtech.

CXTM maybe fair... But for fair's sake let us remember the origin of CXTM... It was the proprietary and in house software of Luck3... And doesnt anyone else remember how long Luck3 was taking deposits with nobody home and no chance for w/d before the cake network shut down their poker ops, and the power went out wherever their 'deposit only' server was? It was over 3 weeks... Just saying... Born under a bad sign---at best!

oh yeah, almost forgot...from whatis dork comb, i mean dotcom

Bespoke (pronounced bee-SPOHK) is a term used in the United Kingdom and elsewhere for an individually- or custom-made product or service. Traditionally applied to custom-tailored clothing, the term has been extended to information technology, especially for software consulting services. Typically, software consulting companies offer packaged (already invented and generally applicable) software and bespoke software for client needs that can't be satisfied by packaged software. In the U.S., bespoke software is often called custom or custom-designed software.
Bespoke is a form derived from bespeak, which was used as early as 1583 to refer to the ordering of goods.

Hi,

Just to follow up on your previous entry

Please check the bottom of any Sports Interaction pages for the link to our RTP Certs - certified by Itech Labs and updated on the site every quarter. These certs can be found on the bottom left of all Casino pages. It is also detailed on the bottom left of the link displayed on this site.

If you still cannot find them I will gladly send them to you by PM - just let me know.

This should clear up any fairness issues.

Sports Interaction has been around taking bets online since 1997 so this should alleviate any concerns you have about "legitimate operation"

Thanks

Ross

Hi,

Sports Interaction has been online taking bets since 1997 so I would not worry about anything you detailed below in terms of getting paid etc.

Thanks

If the US player community cannot be trusted to know the name of the platform they are being directed to, they why should the US player trust they will be not have problems with a withdrawal request.

I'm really puzzled about why this customer service rep was instructed not to disclose the software when its widely known elsewhere. The casino should have the software names listed on the site.

On the top of the page it says License and Regulated in North America, at the bottom of the page it says Kahnawake...

Can you explain exactly how this works? What is "bespoke" supposed to mean? Thanks!

Again to be fair, Itech Labs was certifying Absolute Poker during their infamous scandal... And they cert'd Cake Poker during their 2010 security issues... Furthermore, and only to point out the obvious lack of absolute certainty that testing provides; any site that uses any third party testing that is done from outside of their servers could easily turn randomness 'on' during testing and 'off' as soon as testing was over...

And I am not saying Itech doesnt test an RNG appropriately, what I am saying is; Being RNG tested for randomness and passing said test does not mutually exclude a place from being 'unfair'.

And to elaborate on the software, when u say that it can't be identifyed, or rather, its a bespoken platform, I think what ur saying is that its a composite platform, much like bodog, with a number of different pieces of other software rolled into one suite... Bodog calls their product "wholly proprietary" and maybe that's ur feeling on ur platform, but I would tend to think along these lines: If it uses code from other trademark pieces of software, it is by definition, not proprietary... But wtf do I know...

Can u tell us where the other games in the casino come from? I think I saw the Betsoft product, "The Slotfather", listed somewhere on ur site... Thats the game where 5oaks pay like 2x's the bet...LOL! Any other big providers have pieces of their products rolled into ur platform?

And is ur poker site still on the cake network?

Please don't get me wrong, I am not suggesting that ur software is un-fair, merely wondering how much of the software and/or ownership team that screwed folks over at Luck3 followed the software to its next phase, or still have interest in its marketing and reproduction and sales... Bc they were thieves, and the lack of transparency as to where their product has been since then, or more to the point, in which hands the product was held, is to me, a touch unsettling...

All this devil's advocacy out of the way, I love that 'dancing pieces of fruit' game with the caterpillar race bonus round, quality stuff imho...

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me and I see your POV.

Sports Interaction has multiple gaming partners across many geographical locations.

You are correct - we also use Betsoft Games - this is not part of our "Casino" platform but an additional game suite.

Poker still uses Cake and Ipoker.

Glad you like the games!

Thanks

Ross

Now I am really confused! The explanations have changed from no we don't to yes we do, so who knows the truth? My vote would be to not accredit SIA for obvious reasons.

i thought this casino wasnt accredited yet so why are you calling yourself an accredted casino rep under your username unless of course you also represent another casino.

I think this is something Bryan does, and even though "Baptism by fire", it counts as accredited pending a 60 day probationary period before it is made permanent.

It's a bit like getting a job, there is a period where they can fire you for any reason, and if you perform as expected, you are made permanent, and get all the employee rights in full.

It's in the terms and conditions an accredited casino agreed to when they signed up:D

If all these points are cleared up during the probationary period, the casino will advance to full accreditation.

It's not so much about getting things wrong, but how they are dealt with.

The confusion over this issue has not helped, but we are getting some clarification at last.

A fully accredited casino needs to keep PABs to a minimum, and one way to achieve this is NOT to confuse players to the extent that they lose trust in the internal procedures, and submit a PAB.

In this case, it is confusion and contradiction between a player, CS, and the rep, that lead to this thread getting this long.

I would tread cautiously at this site. If you like to bet big you will lose all of it I've tried video poker at many on-line casinos. This place in my opinion does not deserve accreditation at this time. I am not up to speed on the intricacies of payout %'s and if it is even possible to be tweaked but this place is still rated "questionable" to me...

Probably just paranoid but where do you think the casino turns too to make up for losses on the sportsbook?
