It's a bit over the top for a 100 euro deposit. Sad thing is that casinos can ask for whatever they want and there's not much you can do about it. That's why I personally stay away from casinos that have a habit of being difficult and asking for too much information.

Any casino that has stalled a withdrawal of mine for minor bullshit, I've just closed my account and never looked back.

There are lots of things that will get an account flagged - in crypto I would expect links to known bad wallets are the leading concern. For them to be asking for six months of transactions is clearly excessive, so either there is a genuine concern on their part or it's a blatant stalling tactic - something that could be clarified during a PAB.

The reason "webcam selfie and id" often isn't enough is because the fraudsters will similarly do that by default (anyone who watches scambaiter videos will see frequent photos retrieved from scammers of elderly people holding up their ID) - so they can send images taken days, weeks, or even months ago as "proof" the fraudster is the person in question (which of course they are not).

As said before, as long as the liveness tests are reasonable (photo at the nearest road sign, 1 minute video call, app-based video verification) then that shouldn't be a problem - and it's a variation of the selfie with id of old but with stronger security (because it's harder to fake real-time video currently, or harder to fake randomised requests - but not foolproof though because scammers can coerce victims into doing it on their behalf).

I mean I mostly agree with your post, but depending on where you live it might be a real hassle taking a selfie outside with some road sign. To get your face and road sign and it not be a blurry mess might be almost impossible for some people.

IMO, if the casino accepts the deposit and the player wins, then they should pay out. Unless they have some solid proof about criminal activity and even then they should immediately involve some real authorities instead of trying to handle things themselves.

I have no idea if the OP is above board or not, but I've had 2 instances where casinos have held on to my money for 2-3 weeks with zero communication or explanation before them paying. Everytime that happens to you, you lose a bit of faith in online casinos. Luckily though, I've never had an experience where a casino just flat out refused to pay me in the end though.

Agreed, any example suggested needs to be reasonable and plausible - no point asking for the nearest bus stop in a village with no bus service!

I have a hard time understanding why we'd ask for that if you've only put in 100 EUR. So, it would be great if you could PM me your username or something, just so I can have a look, but that sounds a bit weird to me. So yeah, completely with you there and happy to look into it personally.

Also, I fully understand anyone who meet the words of a casino rep with skepticism (I work for the casino after all), but we care about the casino experience of the player, which is why (among other things) we try to cash our players out as soon as possible. We're even displaying the live average cash out time on site. We would never ask for any weird additional docs from a player unless we really thought there was something funny going on. But it's not in an attempt to stall or get the player to play back their funds. I've said it before multiple times that I recommend you put a wager limit if there are any concerns, just so that doesn't happen.

As for the video verification remark, those are extremely rare and only done if our platform anti-fraud team asks that of us. I can probably count the number of video verification calls done by BitStarz on two hands in all honesty, and I've been with BitStarz for 8.5 years.

If you're on your computer, top right corner is where you choose your balance. So let's say BTC. When you then open a game, you can choose to display the balance in USD (bottom right next to the Piggy Bank icon). By doing that you'll see the full BTC amount, but displayed in USD so in the game balance it's in USD and you won't have the issue of having to deal with a ton of decimals (or be lumped together with one of the fake streamers)

Did you deposit crypto using a crypto exchange or directly through the casino ? At bitstarz its better to deposit using a exchange rather than buying directly .. I use coinbase I buy my crypto through the exchange and then I send it to the casino. And same way vise versa no questions asked or vertification required.
