SoW at videoslots

I have been asked to provide my SoW at videoslots which I do not want to do. They have told me I am unable to withdraw so I informed them to close my account and send me my money. They have since closed the account but have emailed me to say I still need to provide SoW otherwise the money will stay pending. I just simply want my money back and don't want a gambling company going through my bank statements/payslips and whatever else they fancy looking through.

How can I get this money back ASAP? It is a few thousand £'s that I want back.

There are people way more expert than me on this topic however I believe you need to provide them the sow docs to eliminate Money laundering concerns...

I got Sow by them and what they requested seemed extreme to me so I didn’t do it

But didn’t have withdrawals pending ...

They appear to be a good site so I would just bite the Bullet and send them some bank statements !!

If the account is closed, the money will eventually come to you. I’d just sit tight until payments get round to sending it.

I've waited over 2 weeks and every time I ask for an update the customer service team say that an internal team are looking into it and then request SoW again.

The sneaky part was that I was allowed to deposit the money but as I went to withdraw it a couple hours later after winning they blocked the withdrawal.

Videoslots in 'lying to customer' shocker.
How these are a top casino on here is beyond me.
@Team.Videoslots why are your customer service lying to customers again? Is that something they are told to do, or are they all just shit at their jobs?

@robd tell them you are not supplying the documentation they are requesting, and to either report you to the NCA and get a decision from them, or pay the money you are owed.

I've tried this and they aren't budging. I've told them it explicitly states on the SoW request that I have not broken any laws and so they have no right to hold my account, if they suspect I am money laundering then report me and I will be happy to comply with any authorities. After this they just say it is being dealt with an internal team. 3 weeks this has been going on for.

Follow the advice from MrWild here

All British Casino I need Help: Issues with a cashout

@Casinomeister is it acceptable that a top casino like Videoslots are regularly lying to customers about what will happen if they don't supply SoW documentation? There are numerous complaints on here of them doing it, so clearly it is common practice.

Also, I can't see who has read this thread, is that a bug in this sub forum?

I'm in exactly the same position with Jungle Spins, the ADR seem to be useless and I'm not holding much hope out if I complain to the UKGC.... Online slots in the UK is just not worth the bother and stress anymore!

Just give them it SOW is very common now days, if you got nothing dodgy to hide there's no issue, This is how it is now days with online casinos, If after you give it to them they continue asking for more and more then that's different, But a lot of it is to cover the backs if they got cause accepting money that's dodgy then they can get a big fine for it. If you don't want SOW then just stop playing at casinos.

But good luck anyways with getting your money back, It might take months if you don't give a sow proof.

Im sure theres others on here who can help you more

Why would you give sensitive docs to a casino for an account that’s already been closed?

I mean not sure how giving a doc for SOW is that sensitive, when if you went in someone's trash you could find a lot more personal information about them. But if they was to give it even if account was closed wouldn't they then have a better chance of getting there money back.?
Regardless if they want to or not, Surely they could still get there money but giving docs ?

Absolute bullshit. One he's closed his account so why on earth would he supply them with highly sensitive documents?
Two, it's insulting to say if you aren't dodgy theres no issue. I'm not 'dodgy' and won't supply SoW to any casino as I know how complicated it will be, and that they will want documentation I cannot supply due to existing contracts. Thats not dodgy, it's me honouring existing agreements in place.

Well don't imply people are 'dodgy' because they won't supply highly intrusive documents to an offshore casino. Knowing how 'secure' their data handling can be is another reason not to do it. It's not that long since Videoslots were asking customers to reverify themselves after they lost data including driving licenses, passports, cards, financial information. But yeah, just willingly give them even more info!

This is exactly where I'm coming from. I give casino's plenty of information and I am allowed to gamble, once they want to start intruding on bank statements, payslips, deeds of houses etc I draw the line. It's not worth it to me to just give up that information when no company is ever truly safe regardless of what they say. I have done the exact same thing with TonyBet and they said no problem, closed the account and all money refunded.
Yes my stance lowers the pool of casinos I can play with but if a customer doesn't want to provide this information they should not be held hostage until they do, that is wrong and surely an abuse of the rules.

Team videoslots, if you tell someone at 9:30am you are going to get back to them later today I would expect at least expect something back.
Its another example of the poor communication that I’ve sadly come to expect over the past two and a half weeks.
