This is why i would never join "all british". The site has really good reviews and Jan seems like an excellent rep but i'm the same as the op, i would never go through sow with any casino, i would never show bank statements etc. I totally understand they are following ukgc responsible gambling and anti money laundering regs but that information is private and i'd never provide it and just close my account with said casino!

Casumo wanted all this sow after me depositing over £13,000 lol, i just closed my account, luckily for me there was no withdrawal pending surprisingly! I like the way white hat sites tackle this issue 2bh, they put a £500 loss limit on your account across all their sites and the only way you can raise that amount is by completing sow, so if you don't want to do sow then you can just stick to a £500 monthly limit, which is fine by me ;-) Also sites like gamesys (jackpotjoy, virgin games etc) never even ask for id, nevermind sow lol.

I really think though the op should get their withdrawal from all british after closing account though, if the casino doesn't suspect money laundering and the player has closed account/ended relationship with said casino then they should definitely get paid the withdrawal in my opinion!!!;);)

I'm similar to you in the way you use your banks for gambling.

I've just sent All British the bank statements that relate to the debit card used, but I've blanked out every transaction that's not to or from them and also shown all of my payments to my account from my business account. That's what I've declared as my source of wealth and that should hopefully get my withdrawal sorted.

Hopefully that will be enough Carl, i'll cross my fingers you get your withdrawal soon buddy :)

Yes, they should not hold your funds hostage due to an SOW. If they suspect fraud they should follow the AML route.

I have told them this and theyve quoted some things from the UKGC and said they will withhold the deposit indefinitely until I provide SOW and that they are allowed to do this. The problem is, they are a big corporation and will just sit on it forever until I do as they want......its not like I can do anything about it apart from give in to them. I'm stubborn but I can see this isnt getting me anywhere.

I think I've read on here they have a time limit on how long they can take between requesting SOW docs and making a decision whether to pay you or escalate the matter. They cannot hold the funds in their accounts indefinitely as far as I'm aware.

I think any suggestion otherwise by any given casino is just strong arm tactics to make you comply so that they do not ultimately lose a customer. I would imagine customer retention when requesting SOW docs is something that is discussed within the business and is focused on.

I thought along those lines as well but from my emails and correspondence from them theyve said 3 or 4 times they will just withhold the withdrawal and keep it as pending, even if I close the account.
So theyve left me no choice but to comply, I'm not happy about it but I have no choice.

Well there you go, that justifies their approach. Think of how many people would close or have their accounts closed if they just paid up as soon as people said they want their account closing.

For casinos it makes perfect business sense to stall the withdrawal for as long as they can, in the hope they get to keep the customer. You would have been paid either way IMO.

It doesn't justify their approach, as far as they are concerned they are acting within the guidelines and regulations of the UKGC and that is what theyve told me.

I dont see in what way you think all this has helped them to keep a player though, and as I've said theyve told me point blank they will not pay me without a bank statement. It makes no odds on anyone's opinion when they told me in black and white they wont pay without it.

I'm just telling you what laws they are bound by. You either send in a bank statement and either pass or fail the checks, or you refuse and they either close your account and pay you or report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities...In that case the authorities may investigate and then decide whether you can be paid. What the casino can't do is just keep player's money with no good reason to do so (such as a general breach of the casino Ts&Cs, usually involving a bonus).

All of the above can be found out just by reading around the various SOW threads on the forum.

@colinsunderland will tell you the same I'm pretty sure, and he knows a hell of a lot about the laws that bind casinos.

Either way, it sounds like you have decided to comply with the checks, which is good. Hope it all resolves for you :)

All British withheld my withdrawal when demanding SOW docs, I ended up sending the bare minimum to get the funds
released then closed the account, no casino gets the chance to do that more than once.Players need to be a lot tougher,
its all one sided with the casinos holding all the power.
There should be standard procedures outlined for all casinos in the t and c, regarding this issue, maybe one day.

Think its very true that the SOW investigations have a secondary use as a means of assessing the players wealth,
Mecca and Grosvenor have treated me very well since i submitted basic income proof showing i could well afford
the amounts i was depositing, I got nothing but hassle and account suspensions before then.

But...that's the point. It's a source of wealth check - of course it's going to assess your wealth ;)

(And sending the bare minimum is all that is required really. Touch wood, I've yet to have anyone object to me redacting outgoings when I send statements.)

Sorry but if theyve quoted UKGC back at me and told me they wont pay I dont see what else I can do. Nobody on here has actually said its illegal for them to hold it until I show SOW, and if it was illegal surely they wouldn't be sending me emails where they state as a fact that they will withhold it and wont approve the withdrawal even if I close my account.

I sent redacted bank statements yesterday, they dont need to see anything other than my income and my deposits to them. So I'll see how long this takes to get a response from them.

Its simple, you can refuse to supply anything. Then their MLRO need to take next decision on what to do. Its either to report you or not. Then NCA can take decision on your funds. If you dont want to supply more I would simple inform them the following (Pls note your account will probably be closed).

I don't wish to declare any further documents to you. I wish to terminate my account and have my funds paid out. If you feel you need to report me for any suspicious activity. Please do that immediately. As I know my funds has been earned legit, I expect funds to be paid out within 5 days from your report to NCA.

Please note that I will report this to UKGC, NCA and follow the complaint process if funds are not with me within next 14 days.

Hi all,

Just a small update from my end, as I've had contact with Carl.

The only thing within our processes I will never make a decision in are SOW checks. As a personal management license holder with the UKGC in the field of Marketing, it would also be a conflict of interest if I start making decisions regarding SOW.

I can try to help, assist and advise but in the end the MLRO wants proof that funds used for gambling are clean funds. Sometimes this is proven sufficiently with a payslip or tax return, but sometimes additional documents are required.

I predict we will see this kind of thread at least once a week now going forward. Honestly I feel very lucky to know the state of play regarding UK regulations and restrictions, Why I gave up this hobby a few weeks ago

That wont make a difference, I emailed their complaints department and they told me they will not approve the deposit without my SOW even if I close my account.

Everyone is saying they cant do that but that's not what All British are telling me.
If someone been through this same process with All British I'd love to hear about it, as I've said previously I done that same thing with Videoslots and they paid me within a week.

It's all setup the wrong way round in my opinion. They should ask for everything from day one and then approve us for whatever limits they set based on what we've given, Until that moment they shouldnt allow deposits of they are going to make us jump through hoops as soon as we request a withdrawal.

Jan's answer is pretty clear -

"I can try to help, assist and advise but in the end the MLRO wants proof that funds used for gambling are clean funds"

It looks like there is a concern over the source of your funds. The burden of proof is on you at this point.

Honestly, this is SO easy to resolve.

I dont think Jan was specifically aiming that at me, theres no concern over my SOW. (And I doubt he would be allowed to disclose something like that on a public forum) I've provided what I need to.

i had the same problem with race casino made a withdrawal then came the sow, now i did not know at the time but if you have an account with all british as well your deposits are accrued together.never threatened me with not paying because i refused to supply bank statements, but then they did so sent bank statement and told them to close my account. heres a thought can we as customers ask for there bank statements to make sure they are liquid with enough cash just in case i hit a big one (not much hope of that since all the reductions on rtp).

I got paid by CasinoCasino and then the account came up saying restricted a few days later; had to ask them why (LandL sites have a terrible habit of not telling you they need info) - to be fair, least the paid the withdrawal before asking the bank statements. Never closed, just lying dormant as i've not intention of sending them it for that level of deposits when other sites seeing x3 that amount, haven't (just whittle sites down until left with one :p)

With respect, you have been given advice on what to do more than once and thats your response every time. Either provide what they are requesting or do as you have been advised, they are literally the only two options you have. Well, or just leave the withdrawal sitting there forever.

If you had read my last replies you would see I've supplied them with a redacted bank statement and am waiting to hear from them, and many people have told me what to do as you've said, but nobody has told me what regulation/rule/guideline they are actually breaching.

Ive got All British telling me they wont pay if I close my account without supplying the SOW they requested and telling me they can do that (theyve supplied references to UKGC regulations) so I'm not that likely to just do what a couple of people on a forum said and risk not getting my £4k cash out.

Sorry for responding to peoples replies, I'll just say nothing in future.
