Gambling online within UKGC-overseen jurisdictions may take the 'N' out of 'FUN' but at least they're regulated, in a Nineteen Eighty Four sort of way.

Crypto play at unregulated sites looks like a wolf in sheep's clothing, and I shan't imagine it's too many years before players face all the same suppressive tactics that they see now when playing 'local'.

Gamblers will seemingly do anything to get their kicks and flock en masse to dangerous waters, of course all the while oblivious to handing passport, bank card and highly intrusive bank statements and employment information to casinos that don't actually require it?

Have fun with that! And when the Crypto bubble bursts, what'd be the next fad? Off-planet gambling on the moon?

The fact that players mask their country via VPN, and casinos openly encourage this despite not accepting players from said jurisdiction ought to tell you the pitiful state casinos are in, never mind their insistence on anything resembling SoW not even applicable by their laws.

Truth be told, players are too apathetic to care about small details like that, as long as they get to spin their slots a second faster and think they're sticking two fingers up at the likes of the UKGC........even if these unregulated shell companies raise more red flags than a Kim Jong Un surprise birthday party!

Enjoy the Crypto craze while it lasts everyone.....because it's likely to become a worse version of what went before

Which ARE the reputable ones, if you don't mind me asking?
The ones listed as OK for USA players by CM (only some of which accept UK players), or those on my own websites (see link in my signature).

Unfortunately, the majority of the casinos that are not licensed by the UKGC and taking UK bets are the crooks hiding behind the Curacao master license 1668/JAZ. It is well documented that they use pirated software and target problem gamblers.

Good news is at least Curacao is removing the master licenses and requiring all currently licensed casinos from all four master license holders to reapply for a new and improved Curacao license in 2024.

I am pretty sure those rip off casinos will still be around, but we won't have Mater License 1668 to kick around anymore. lol

Got a SOW request from VBet this week, asking for my occupation, salary, discretionary income, how much I spend each month on casinos (as well as theirs). I replied:

This information is not something I am willing to disclose to a private company, sorry.
I appreciate you are bound by UKGC regulations and so the only course of action is to close my account since I will not comply with this request.

Kind regards

They can run on if they think I'm providing that information :)

I've cancelled my account at several casinos, even binned off £100 at one becuse my financial situation is complicated, it's not just a payslip, and trying to explain it to some CSR rube is too hard.

Or rather I haven't "cancelled" my account, I've just stopped using them. Tthe account is technically still there, just like cookies are technically inside a locked box, it's just no good for the cookie eater/gambler.

Lets say you win and want to cashout, then your hit with sow. Your not a criminal and dont launder money, No payslip to show bc you are not working. Your family give you lets say couple hundred punds. Does your family have to do the sow? Really dont understand this thing.

Depends on the casino. If all you have coming into your bank account is money from family, they might ask something about that.

The fucked up thing is that no one really knows in advance what they'll ask for as it seems like the wild west at times. Some casinos will ask for third party information and that's a mine field in itself. I would never send any third party information to any casino.

Every casino that has asked me for source of wealth is now a casino I don't use lol
Not even because I am against it but I get my money from poker and don't have any wage slips to show
I show my skrill with money going in and out, I mean what else can I do? Then they want to ask more questions and I usually just forget about them

I'm gonna have to do the non UK GC route. I use one casino (that maybe I wouldn't like to recommend until I've tested them with a big cashout) that's non-UK affiliated but for smaller wins they've paid.

But in terms of UK-based sites I'm now down to Pokerstars and 888. The latter has not given me a win on their daily prize wheel since I mentioned in June during a video recording, that they had never FAILED to every day, until that point. Every day, bar none, since then? NO WIN.

Random, huh?

Do people actually expect to win prizes on a Casino’s daily “spin the wheel” type promo? I won £100 on a Novabet daily wheel spin once but nothing more than that from anywhere else. But to me they are next to useless.

Nah, not at all. My point was they were listening to me. I've never released that one. It's so odd how it gave me some kinda bonus every day, until I spoke on it, then it didn't since.

Free spins from the daily wheels ... Best I've had was bout £30 off the back of one. Another time I got a bonus round on Book of Scrolls and it hit a £80 win - except the max allowed via the free spins was £25! (ofc I've never hit anywhere near a £80 bonus win cash play since)

I have a concern which will probably be filed under the “conspiracy theory” folder. I have noticed since providing my SoW and disclosing income (that maybe shows a higher level of affordability) , my RTP has literally plummeted and i now get no bonuses whatsoever. It is uncanny that immediately after providing details my rtp went from around 97% to 44% or less resulting in not one session with a winning balance since. I play Mr Vegas , raised a ticket and got the copy and paste everything is random response.

It would be filed under "too small sample size".

94% at best... we're seeing more operators taking the step to 92%, and I wouldn't be surprised if WH are already making plans for 85-86%.

So many people who get this wrong, feeling they spin for thousands of spins while they dont even reach 500. Sample size is indeed a huge factor that an individual can't meet or beat on his own.

Gambling is just being lucky or not.

So here we are again - watching the UK market implode on itself with hyper-regulation pushing good recreational players off onto the Caribbean licensed entities. So - players in the UK, what say you? Is this source of wealth benefiting your playing experience??

Please note - this industry is about, and revolves around THE PLAYER. So many folks - especially those at the top - are oblivious about that fact.
The concern is when a gambling site do not send out SoW when it should. Or allow a player to gamble even though the SoW clearly indicates problem gambling.
