OK, thanks everyone for your selections, there's been a huge number of slots released between Dec 1 2018 and Nov 30 2019 and a vast list to choose from. We have had an unprecedented number of participants in the poll here so it's taken a while to collate the information and therefore the results are a bit more conclusive than in previous years. The original 2019 slot poll was here, if you need to see the list that was supplied or want to see for yourself the source of this information and voting:

The 2019 Slot of the Year Poll was here.

Winner 2016 - Book Of Dead by Novomatic Play'n Go.
Winner 2017 - Bonanza by Big Time Gaming
Winner 2018 - Napoleon Rise of an Empire by Blueprint Gaming

Drum roll......brm brm brm brm

Winner 2019 - Dead or Alive 2 by Netent!!! 27/14/110

OK, I have made a legend for each slot that looks like a date i.e. for the winner it was 27/14/110. These 3 figures are: Firstly, the number of choices the slot had, secondly the number of top choices for 5 points it received and thirdly and most importantly, the overall total.

So the Winner had 27 voters nominate it, of which 14 had it as their top choice and the overall score was a total of 110 points. Remember, the top 5 you chose were given 5 points down to 1 point.

#2. Razor Shark by Push Gaming 16/3/49
#3. Lil' Devil by Big Time Gaming 12/1/34
#4. Rise of Merlin by Play'n Go 10/0/30
#5. Carnival Queen by Thunderkick 9/2/28
#6. Money Train by Relax Gaming 6/2/23
#7. Temple Tumble Megaways by Relax Gaming 6/2/22
#8. Opal Fruits by Big Time Gaming 6/2/21
#9. Tombstone by NoLimitCity 7/1/20
#10. The Shadow Order by Push Gaming 5/3/17
#11. Return of Kong Megaways by Blueprint Gaming 14/2/14 (11th by virtue of more top choices)
#12. Dragon's Horn by Thunderkick 5/0/14
#13. Wish Upon a Leprechaun Megaways by Blueprint Gaming 3/2/13
#14. Riders on the Storm by Thunderkick 3/1/12
#15. Midas Golden Touch by Thunderkick 4/0/11
#16. Divine Lotus by Thunderkick 3/1/10 (16th by virtue of one top choice)
#17. 9k Yeti by 4ThePlayer 4/0/10
#18. The Final Countdown by Big Time Gamin 4/1/9 (18th by virtue of one top choice)
#19. Book Of Oz by Microgaming 3/0/9
#20. Mystery Reels Megaways by Red Tiger 3/1/8

The TOSSER! T
he Overwhelmingly Shittiest Slot Ever Released!

Winner 2019: A 3-way tie between Holy Diver, Legacy of Ra Megaways and Machina Megaways of which all had 3 nominations.
Village People and Eye of Horus Megaways both had 2 nominations.

Other brilliant dunover insights:

This poll shows that there has been a pretty wholesale rejection of the Megaways mechanic, it's been flogged to death although it still produces a few grains of wheat in amongst all the chaff with Temple Tumble being the highest and only game in the Top 10. Again we see high volatility and good potential preferred and this year has seen the widest winning margin ever, Netent's DoA 2 absolutely smashed it! Despite this, their games were otherwise pretty mediocre and anonymous and it was refreshing to see Thunderkick consistently showing well in the Top 20 with Push Gaming and Relax Gaming both having two in the Top 10 which is a notable result again for the less prolific developers. MG, Playtech, IGT and Microgaming - well again nothing of note although that is skewed slightly by the fact Playtech and IGT tend to be found at few of the numerous non-bookie MGA casinos we tend to join as members of CM.

We can rate the top developers by total points gained in this poll and I can add a little comment to each.

#1. NETENT: 110 points, 2 TOSSER choices.
Without DoA 2 - err....not a single point in the top 20 lol.

#2. PUSH GAMING: 66 points, 0 TOSSER choices.
Few releases, but always quality!

#3. THUNDERKICK 65 points, 1 TOSSER choices.
Always a solid provider of playable games.

#4. RELAX GAMING: 45 points, 0 TOSSER choices.
Easily the best new entry to the poll this year, maybe now under the Scientific Gaming fold we'll see some more good games in 2020.

Anyway, thanks to all those members here who took the trouble to select the games in the poll!

Wow, never even heard of Razor Shark, but after these results I might have to give it a go with leftover funds from other games

DOA2? No accounting for taste! Lol. That said, at least it does chuck the feature in fairly frequently and you can always pick the less volatile bonus (although for what I’ve seen by myself and on other vids, this can be equally as shit as the lottery level bonus).

Personally find it a tad dull but that’s what opinions are all about. Doubt many of us will defend any on the TOSSER list though!

Edit: one thing I will say about DOA2 is that more feequent bonuses, coupled with volatility choice for them when achieved, is personally the way to go.

Great slot but very very volatile.. :)

And what a surprise, one of the most boring slots wins the award...Even if I would have hit huge on it, it still would be as boring as it is...And WTF, Lil Devil third?

I think the realisation of the potential carried weight. Lots of games promise but ive only really seen DOA2 make such an impact with bets of 9p.

I agree, its a pretty boring game although 14 top spots compared to the nearest - The Shadow Order at 3, shows it won hands down.

Oh, Happy Xmas!

Never been lucky on any doa games 1 or 2 so I never play then despite their potential.

Razor shark... Spend 300 bucks on 1 euro bets only to get two bonuses.. one paid 0x and the other about 6x. Shocking results for me lately so yes very volatile! However the first time I played this game it gave me 700x within 30 spins.. way to lure me in. Come to the dark side.

Great summary as always Dunover, cheers to you!
DoA2 at first place is no surprise, and even though NetEnt really didn't have a great year in my book on the whole, they made a perfect sequel to DoA.
That said, I really hope we get a truly original slot as the winner next year.

@BTG where do I find RTP on Lil Devil looks like you dont show RTP at all on game way hide RTP ? will be nice if you also show RTP on Bonus on Lil Devil
thank you
It's in the Help section as always. The highest RTP is if you take the Be My Angel bonus as heartstopper feature, the lower is when you take the Dynamite Lover one.

I had the same experience with this game, now at least 50 to spend before I get a hit at 1 per bet. Initially I won over 1000 on a spin when the game first was released. And another 1000 on the shark in the weeds bonus. Now just a money pit unfortunately...

Cheers for the time taken producing the results Dunover. I intend to use the details to play all of those slots that I have not yet touched to have some fun this evening :)
100 spins in each.
