Bogus Complaint Seem to have been labelled a "Bonus Abuser" without actually receiving a bonus?

Hi all,

Sorry if this isn't in the correct area but I've been recommended to come here to see if there is anything I can be advised.

I opened an account with GetMinted recently and played at their download casino in October. I played in the casino and withdrew once already, then went to play a couple of weeks later. After depositing £1250 I played some big hands of blackjack and withdrew around £3150 (The amounts are converted to dollars I think so I don't have exact amounts).

When the withdrawal was processed, roughly half of that amount was credited back, when I've tried to log into the casino to check why my account was locked. I assumed it may be an ID issue so have tried to chase it down with them. One customer service advisor has since told me over the phone that my account has been closed for "Bonus Abuse".

I've never actually received any bonus on my account!! Is that even possible! :(

I've been asked to contact their CS by either email or phone (I was on the phone to one at the time when he said this...) but they are so far unresponsive to my emails asking them for clarification.

I've received a full cashier history and am waiting for game logs so I can prove this but as it stands they have taken roughly £1500 from me, I assume because I won some big hands on Blackjack that they are unwilling to pay. I maintain that I have not received a bonus on my download account so at the moment they have removed half of what I see if completely legitimate winnings?

Welcome to the forum.

Are you sharing your computer with anyone? That could be the problem.

edited to add: Sometimes customer service reps get confused and throw around "abuse" terms when they mean something else. I'd be pretty surprised if Get Minted is trying to pull a fast one - but you never know.

Hi casinomeister,

No I don't share my computer with anyone.

Maybe the customer service employee was wrong but they've not responded to my email about why I have been blocked/banned from my account.

The CS gave reference saying my deposits had been returned, but I deposited £1250 and they'e sent back £1548.50 so even that doesn't add up.

I'm not using my PC to post this if that is what you are referring to!! (I'm at my brothers who recommended trying Casinomeister for a resolution).

I do play casino's at home on my own PC.

@njack - feel free to PAB and I'll contact Get Minted to see what's up. If you didn't claim a bonus, and they are citing bonus "abuse" then something ain't right.

The relevance is that you know how vigilant online casino are against detecting multiple accounts. You are sharing a computer with your brother thus it is easy for you to get pegged as a multi-accounter. We have lots of members here who share their computers with family members - I hope you made that clear with Get Minted when you signed up so they wouldn't accuse you of having multiple accounts. Like I mentioned, many casino reps will first tell you you abused a bonus before they admit that they pegged you as a fraudster.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Please PAB.

No, it's totally suspicious. Your brother had a failed PAB, and now you're submitting one. A very small percentage of members use the PAB system, and I don't like wasting my time.

I am guessing the casino will just say they made a mistake. A big player/depositor doing some gambling and they don't pay out?
Very odd.
Do they have a rep here? Maybe you should try the rep if there is one.

I appreciate that. I'm not trying to con anyone here or waste anyones time. My brother pointed me in your direction that is all. If he has submitted a PAB then he obviously has experience of the site so sent me here.

I feel this is taking the issue away from the one I posted about, he doesn't have an account with GetMintedDownload anyway so I don't understand the issue they have with me.

As it stands I have deposited into the casino twice and played without a bonus, once receiving a cashout so there are no ID issues or anything.

I didn't receive ANY notification of being sent only half of my withdrawal either, I had to find that out by calling them because 3 emails went unanswered (now 4 emails). (I was told they had returned my deposits but they've sent back more than what I've deposited). I've asked for my cashier history which was sent within an hour and then asked for my game history/logs. I had an email about that within 30 minutes saying they will send them in due time, but any email asking them to explain what has happened is not being replied to.

When calling CS they specifically mentioned bonus abuse, which is impossible because I've not received any bonuses!

Go ahead and PAB then.

Too bad Getminted doesn't have a rep here anymore (dormant account from some affy manager). We could probably get an answer right away. It seems rather odd that they would do something like this. Nevertheless, we'll get an answer from them.

I am not familiar with GetMinted as a player, but don`t they use WagerWorks games etc? I think it is quite seldom that Casinomeister receive complaints about WW (IGT) based casinos.

I think in the last five or six years, we have received only one WW casino complaint. Max could probably fill us in better on that.
