Back on the 23rd of February I played at Pharaohs and lost $1000. They were offering a 25% cashback bonus for anyday of my choosing that month so I sent them an email requesting it as per their terms.

I got no reply despite several chase up emails and support said they couldn't do anything and only the casino manager could credit the bonus.

They were accredited here so I PaB with Bryan. But depsite him chasing it up several times they haven't responded or credited the bonus.

He has now removed them from his accredited section and moved them to not-reccomended at least partially because of this, but still it just goes to show you can't even trust accredited casinos.

BTW It's $250 they owe me.

What a joke!

You LOST $1000, and they don't want to credit back the $250 as per the promotion.
Whatever next, what kind of "bonus abuse" was this!

If you WERE up to no good, you were pretty crap at it by losing $1000.

You didn't bet the entire $1000 on a single hand of anything by any chance:confused:

Yeah I did. A bit dissapointed Bryan has only downgraded them to not-reccomended for being non-responsive.

I'd have thought the in effect stealing of $250 may have warrented a bit more.

Yeah I did.

Simply amazing to me! (Not the part about getting robbed by a casino. That's just business as usual lately!) It's the part about depositing 1k and betting it all on one hand that sparks my interest here. A true gambler in the real sense of the word! I just couldn't bring myself to do that.

It's because I honestly feel that it's a communication problem - not a "theft". Show me where they have taken $250 from you - you're just upset that they didn't give you a "bonus", that's all.

By the way, the last word I had from them concerning this was that they had no record of your account.

Very colorful terms being used in this thread, "not paying," "stealing," "theft," and "communication problem" - LOL.

If I have a gambling deal with a person or entity. And, that entity ignores my attempts at communication, the term I would use is "welsh."

Several emails from the OP, to the casino, with no reply from the casino, implies a "communication problem" from only the casino side.

"Not paying" was a kind way for the OP to phrase it in the thread title. Possibly the thread title could be changed to "Pharaohs Casino - "welshes" on issuing bonus."

Yeah I did.

I can look into the future, and see your account being flagged for "bonus abuse," Dirk.

"No record of your account" seems to be a convenient response for the casino to stall or deny the issuance of the bonus. Which would complete the agreement between the two parties here. Is that why the casino has not responded to the OP's emails also?
And DD, why would you be upset that Pharaohs Casino has not issued you a bonus for $250, and not fulfilled their side of the agreement?

Kudos to CM for removing Pharaohs Casino from the accredited section for no response.

Soliciting money under false pretences is generally speaking a crime that could be considered to be a theft. That may not apply here, but the analogy is plain.

Is that the same kind of "communication problem" where you send $1000 to Nigeria and they fail to communicate with you about the promised EIGHT MILLION DOLLARS ($8m dollars)? Or when the casino says "email us to withdraw", you email them saying "I would like to withdraw $5,000 from my account" and they ignore your email, and you never get the money? Is that a "communication problem" too?

Not paying somebody money promised to them is a payment problem, nothing more, nothing less.

"Not paying" was a kind way for the OP to phrase it in the thread title.

Not sure how that's being kind to them. Not paying is a bad thing.

So then don't send him an offer the next time.

I don't understand what you mean by "bonus abuse". The only "abuse" is where the user breaks the terms of the promotion. If the terms say "you can only claim once per household", and he claims it twice, that is "bonus abuse". If it says in the terms "users may not bet more than 10% of their balance, or $100, on any one bet", then if he bets $1,000 on one hand that is "bonus abuse". If it says "having claimed a bonus, users are forbidden from playing blackjack", and he plays blackjack, that is "bonus abuse".

Otherwise, they are inviting people to play by means of a contract between the casino and the potential depositor. If they had not made the offer, they would not have received his money.

Having received his $1,000, they seem to have done pretty well out of their little "communication problem".

"No record of your account" seems to be a convenient response for the casino to stall or deny the issuance of the bonus. Which would complete the agreement between the two parties here. Is that why the casino has not responded to the OP's emails also?

This just make them sound like liars or, at best, they have done nothing and ignored all his emails. If you are a casino and you receive an email saying "I would like to claim my $250 cashback", and you search and cannot find the user's account details, for whatever reason, you respond saying "can you please let me know your username". You do not simply ignore the email. It is clearly impossible that they have no record of his account, because quite plainly he has emails from them, the client is installed on his PC, he has financial records of money going to them, etc.

It is absolutely impossible that they do not have a record of his deposit and his account.

And DD, why would you be upset that Pharaohs Casino has not issued you a bonus for $250, and not fulfilled their side of the agreement?

What a weird statement. They said "If you deposit $1,000, we will give you 25% cashback if you lose". He deposited $1,000 and then wasted a lot of time chasing them up, and didn't get the $250.....

If somebody told you they would give you $250 if you did something for them, and you did it, then they didn't pay you, you'd be upset too.

Fair enough, but by not crediting the $250 cashback that's in effect stealing it in my eyes which is what I stated.

I met the terms to recieve it by LOSING $1000, so if they're not crediting it surely I'd be well within my rights to chargeback these losses as they haven't met their end of the agreement? (Not that I'm going to BTW)

By the way, the last word I had from them concerning this was that they had no record of your account.

Well that's a stall tactic if ever I saw one.

I've PM'd you my PIN number again which is an account sat with $1001 in it.

If they have no record of this account, they are not going to be bothered by a chargeback from this account that does not exist.

Why do casinos insist on lying when they have a problem with a player, yet cry foul when players lie about casinos?

Spot on here. A charge back on a non-existant account for a non-existant $1000 deposit and bet. No-one is going to complain.

...

Yet another load of bs from a former reputable casino to avoid a payout.

I stick to the UKs top branded casinos only and im even starting to debate with myself whether that is getting too risky. Say I hit a lovely progressive 50000+ will they really pay me. Not guaranteed, especially if im using a dreaded bonus (Which I rarely use because of this fear I have).

This online gaming business is a joke really, at the end of the day players have no recompense at all if a casino decides for whatever reason to just not pay out.

They can come to this very helpfull site and Byran will do his level best to help where possible but if a casino decides they wont payout there is nowhere a player can file an official dispute with an official arbitrator, with powers to make the casino pay if the dispute is ruled in the players favour.

I hope this UK regulation actually works as this is badly needed in the online gaming industry IMO for the casinos and especially the players.
