While trimming my green beans I was playing Twisted Circus and just kept hitting the spacebar thinking it was betting my 30 cents (trying to play and work at the same time). I was betting MAX !!!! Did not realize it until it was too late. So sad ): Feel like such a loser. Finally I was winning something and now it is all gone.

Shame that you were finally winning then made that mistake.

Its a feature I used to hate on older microgaming slots. Countless times I would be playing and leave laptop for various reasons. Every time I came back It would be on screensaver so I would automatically hit space to get screen back up and of course it would then spin whatever slot I was playing at max. Knew it did it just always hit space without thinking.

At least this laptop if im away I have to put password back in to access so cant just hit space lol.

Kind of a related idea, but I've almost made a poll here that does anyone ever actually use the maximum bet button that many netent games have. Seems to me it's a button with little use but causes a lot of accidents.

I also had that happen to me once too OP. Fortunately it was a one-off as I noticed it.

The MAX BET button isn't built for players: IMO it's just one of those things that has always historically been there and no-one has probably ever thought to remove it. Why on earth is there any need for it at all when every game stays on your last bet size anyway?

I did it once too, I thought it would work like in NetEnt but of course it didn't Maybe they'll remove the option and / or the max bet button when some player will accidentally bet max and win a million euros

It's useful on traditional slots in B&M casinos because it's simpler to push the max bet button than "bet one" three times after each spin. It doesn't have its place on any video slot though.

Following on from that observation, I wonder if it is simply a hangover from the old days where a lot of 3-reelers at Max Bet had a slightly improved "top Pay" symbol, like in video poker.

I agree this feature should be removed. If I wanted to bet Max, I would have pressed the max bet button -- not the spacebar. I like using the spacebar if I'm doing other stuff at the same time. I guess it must work in the casinos favor or it would have been removed a long time ago. As someone else said, if I had hit a mega win, I'm sure they may have considered removing it.
