I have nothing against you geordiecolin. But I take it personally when you seem to be categorising me belonging in a club and either directly or indirectly say that I'm (a) ignorant, (b) taking the piss, and (c) being dismissive (I interpreted this as a synonym to attacking a poster).

What ever topic may seem important and being true to you, might not be the view shared by others. And please don't take the high road about posting something which others did not read or view. Since you admittedly have done the exact same thing yourself.

The moderation in CM has became truely shocking. It had degenerated into becoming a club for a hand full of members protected and even encouraged by a mod. In Bens banned thread a member was called by the mod for making a personal remark towards a member who has slagging off Ben. Yet he allowed all and sundry to make personal attacks on Ben when the guy had no way of defending himself.
And here he allows his small bunch of forum buddies treat a lady this way.
It is ruining the forum at a time when Bryan himself stated that members may need the forum more than ever.
It is shameful

Actually, this is a thread about North Korea in the Attic, which I barely venture into. It's the attic, but even so I expect members to treat each other with respect and not go apeshit.

So where is the moderation truly shocking? Dionysus locked the Playford thread in the wee hours because he felt it was becoming volatile and left it up to me to reopen it. I haven't yet because it was just another rant. There are more important things going on here.

No one reported this thread until today - and yeah, not all moderators or staff members are available for this.

And how is this becoming a fan club exactly?

If you have a problem with the moderation, please use some tact and contact me personally and let me know what's going on so I can deal with it. Slagging off on Dionysus publicly, or on anyone else for that matter, is not cool.

When others posted about RKF junior the first reply back was "hes an anti-vaxxer" you do know the media creates these connotations for small minded people yeah? so that people will see the connotation and instantly dismiss him, which is what happened. Pay close attention if you're capable of it, around the 11:53 mark when he says "I am not against vaccination" you see how absurd the connotation "anti-vaxxer" is when he is not saying he flat out is, he is asking a simple question after, he wants them tested the same way every other medical products is safety tested, not an unreasonable request, again all he asks for is show him 1 report that shows vaccinated children vs unvaccinated children and he will stop all of this.

I can post the screenshot where CDC stuides show those vaccinated with a flu shot were are 36% more likely to get coronavirus versus unvaccinated, again that was shot down and ignored by just throwing the anti-vaxxer connotation at it.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. You start with the preemptive attacks and then expect people to warm to your material.

I think if you were able to sift through the thread(s) and find where I go out of my way to ridicule alternative viewpoints for 'shits and giggles' then please enlighten me!

I'm usually one of the more tolerant and have stated I like some of what David Icke says etc. Plus I watched the Bill Gates BBC interview in its entirety and so forth, and have attempted to engage these videos with a different viewpoint, but seemingly that's of little consequence.

So please at least get your facts straight when dishing out your 'critiques'

The facts are those who ask logical questions get riduculed for asking a question as if it is a crime, then almost everyone else joins in with the ridiculing.

Yes it is an interesting topic, I just hate the way the media has created labels such as anti-vaxxer, that acts as some sort of cockblocker to shut someone down, I am pro immune system, pro vitamin, pro organic, but I am not any of those things if someone uses the term.

Vaccines have caused untold damages to people, the insert on many vaccines says can cause death and a host of other very bad things? show my any organic or holistic vitamins that says can cause death if taken, imagine table and on the left side there are 10 needles with vaccines, and you are told before one of those 10 can cause death or brain damage and other bad side effects and on the right side there are fruits, organic vitamins, immune boosting superfoods none of which as far as I know can cause death, or at least have a warning saying they can on their insert, which side do you choose from?

I didn't know fruits are so powerful against polio and measles. You show me how your superfoods prevent those diseases and I'll become a vegan.

But that's the basis of how vaccines work. Whether fully understood at this point or not (not), the alternatives would be.......to do nothing for 5-10 years? And who's to say 'that' vaccine'll be any more effective

It's when people state 'they' are doing this or 'they' have it in for us is where it goes into the realms of disbelief. Because supposing just for a second governments are juts as befuddled as the rest of us and are racing to find an answer?

Not everything's a covert plan to depopulate the planet and bring it down to the '500,000' that's being touted in some circles

But if some, as is their right, believe this IS part of a global elite plan and eg this virus was man-made then that's fine too. Doesn't mean it's actually what's happening before us, or that everyone has to share that viewpoint

Correct there is such a thing as too much water, there are promising findings into people water fasting also, where you don't consume food for days, only water than does seem to have some benefits for the body detoxifying itself, of course caution must be taken when going down that route. I agree our immune systems are pretty amazing and help us deal with many many things and we can aid it even more by eating sensibly and taking in vitamins.

I really chalk near everything up to 'in moderation'
you dont need to visit the dr for every sniffle , start drinking 20L of OJ for every runny nose.
Even exercise has limits before it's detremental.

I've my hep shots because I lived in a second world country, I try to eat rather well, I social distance because while I'm fairly healthful I dont want to carry it to others.

Paranoia and stress will kill ya, but an ounce of prevention can go a long way

I agree our immune systems are pretty amazing and help us deal with many many things and we can aid it even more by eating sensibly and taking in vitamins.

The effect of many holistic vitamins have not been studied in great enough depth or longevity to be able to provide the level of information that is available about mainstream vaccines. However, even though vitamins may be organic/holistic, that does not mean they cannot cause many unpleasant, long-lasting side effects, e.g.
- Cranberry: Interferes with Warfarin.
- Valerian: Can cause liver damage, and abnormal heart rhythms
- Melatonin: Blood pressure changes
- Aloe Vera: allergic reactions, hepatitis (admittedly rare). And yes, death.

And the vitamins that many people take as a daily supplement come in two forms - water soluble or fat soluble, and even innocuous vitamins such as Vit-C can have particularly nasty side effects, e.g. tissue damage and heart abnormalities.

Other vitamins to be cautious about are Niacin, Pyridoxine, Folate, and Vit-K (which can interfere with prescribed medication).

So vitamins are not necessarily the panacea that will prevent us from succumbing to any pandemic that might come our way.
