I used to be able to choose my spins at the playboy slot...
Now they have disappeared. Live chat says:

It seems that MGS needed to do some changes here due to the UK license, as they could not carry over these with the new license, so they had to reset these. I understand that this comes as a disappointment for you and there is nothing we can do about this im afraid as it comes from MGS side

:(

I think this is BS.

If such a feature is banned under the UK licence, a reset would make no difference, they would if anything have to remove the restriction for all players, making everyone get the choice.

They have probably run into some technical hitch, but are trying to blame the UK government, rather than admit they simply can't do it.

In other casinos, they HAVE managed to preserve the achievements, and surely this too would not have been allowed if it was really something to do with the new UK rules.

Yep. My TSII is back to square one as well. :(

playboy game

Not a lot of luck on this game for me either i hate it sometimes and love it

seems today is one of them days ,no free spins out of £150 vile i feel

Yep happened to me on Guts too, 'almost gold' on Immortal (just missing the 5 wilds / 5 scatters and the real elusive one;) )

And TS II and Playboy and all the 'left over' wilds on the 'Untamed' Games. Gone gone gone

Guts is not the only place this has happened lost the lot at Betway too and their CS either don't care or don't understand what I am on about (prob's a bit of both)

Wife lost her's on Next casino, they comp'ed her a tenner as a small compensation.

Guts gave me a half decent consolation too (never ending losing streak there may have helped too lol), but that's the sign of a well run casino.

I'm sure players including myself will come across many other accounts where this has happened and CS ain't interested, the likes of 32 Red, Guts, Next and BetAt will make an effort the others well maybe personal experience talking will blame Microgaming / Migrations etc

I totally believe the frustration side of this occurance will only be appreciated by players themselves as we have 'worked hard' to build up these achievements, not to mention the amount of deposits / wagers to give full access to the choice of 'bonus rounds'

Best of luck all

Hi Everyone,

I am very sorry that this happened but it was truly out of our hands, the last thing that I would want is for players to lose any achievements that they have built up in the past. Essentially what has happened is with the UK license we needed to switch to a new casino ID with Microgaming which unfortunately resulted in this. From our side there is nothing that we can do and after a long conversation with MGS there is nothing that they can do on their side.

Again my sincere apologies.

Ben

I had to laugh today, as well as losing my achievements on TSII (the game I played most) I was given 7 free spins on Dishwasher (Wish Master) and on the 5th. spin I got the 10 games feature. Of course typical of Netent you pay for the feature games (like on Big bang) yourself so I could only have 2 spins before the free credits ran out. Needless to say the game reset when I went to carry on with real money so lost the feature...:(:(:(

IMO I appreciate the free spins, but it is a mistake to use games like Big Bang and Wishmaster when the player can win bonus games only have them all taken away when the free spins run out and it resets. So I feel robbed twice today at Guts!

hmmm ive been asking about this for a few days ask lauri at guts ) cant say im very pleased at all , ive spent thousands & thousands on IM,tfrol & playboy , ive only a set of scatters left on IM , i only need a full set of scatters on tfrol to have a completed screen in gold

Well this really rustles my Jimmies, and I didn't get any compensations, and why should I because it's not the casinos' fault : (

feelsbad.webp

On both mentioned games if you get free spins from Guts again for those two games when you load them you will carry on at same multiplier on big bang and same wishes on wishmaster as you had on your last free spins. I know it might be a long time before you get them again .

It seems to work on same basis as when you leave big bang or wishmaster with a high multiplier or scrolls at say 5p bets and go back weeks later at same coin bet the game continues where left. It does the same on free spins as must recognise coin value as free.

I opened up the Wishmaster to play my 7 spins earlier and to my surprise there was a x3 multiplier already sitting there with 3 or 4 spins left to go, this must have carried over from previous free spins, so I'm sure it will not go to waste. Just have to wait for our 'Guts Advent calender' 20 free spins on 24 different games for lovely customers like me :P

Did you change your bet size when you started playing with real money? I made once a mistake I was playing Big Bang, closed the game and didn't notice that the game was changed to the default bet size when I started to play the game again, of course I lost my achievement but it was my mistake.

It has nothing to do with the betsize. Read Pauls posts a few posts back and you'll see the reason when it comes to free spins/real money.

1) Why? Could MGS please quote the relevant section of the UK regulations that make this a requirement.

2) How were MGS able to migrate from one operator to another preserving achievements, yet entirely unable to preserve them in a simple switch of casino ID?

Maybe some players who feel adversely affected could raise this directly with the UKGC given that it's their regulations that are being blamed for this.

I have seen and experienced this problem before, when some casinos moved from the KGC to the LGA, requiring them to move all data to a new physical server. Despite this, there was both an apology and a restoration of achievements. The apology was because it shouldn't have happened in the first place, someone screwed up when porting the data.

The new UK requirements to not "require" a physical migration at all, so they chose to do this, it wasn't a "requirement". They should have taken into account the preserved achievements, as it was they who developed this feature in the first place.

It looks like they decided to stiff players anyway, knowing that achievements would be lost, and hoping that players would just accept it with little fuss.

i dont feel stiffed from guts at all , there a good casino

on the other hand im very very pissed off that they have gone as i had a very good chance of completing both pay tables which would of been some achievement by far for me , its the time spent on those games & on top of that the money ive spent losing to get those pay tables up (

It's the aloof MGS that "stiffed" the players. They don't care as they can cower behind their licensees if players don't like it. All the operators can do is negotiate with affected players in order to come up with something that both sides can accept as a settlement.

The value of achievements has been exaggerated by marketing hype, which is part of the reason players believe they have suffered a quantifiable loss. In the case of paytables turning gold, or free spin choices having been unlocked, they have lost nothing in terms of TRTP.

If casinos could have given players advance notification, then many of these problems could have been avoided. Players would have had time to play out part qualified features etc, and the only losses would be the "eye candy" achievement tables.

If anything, the loss of achievements could be an advantage as some casinos offer bonus rewards for their completion, and a reset means a player gets a second bite of this particular promotional cherry.

I think it's an issue with the Quick(Mis)Fire versions of the games, with remote jurisdictions that my differ from the casino's actual licensing jurisdiction. You see this on multi-platform sites.

I've had that happen on Big Bang with free spins before, Dunover; as you say once you switch to real money the multiplier goes back to x1. However the next time free spins were offered on BB the game started at x4 where the previous free spins finished. This was with Guts.

1) I will send MGS the link to this thread and it is up to them to comment if they would like. Perhaps with download casinos this is not an issue but it is for Flash, I am not an expert technical migration and how "simple" a switch of a casino ID is. I know from my experience with this license switch that if I did not obtain the UK license my casino ID would have remained and been blocked from the UK and as I did get a UK license I received a new casino ID allowing games to UK players.

2) Depends on what was actually migrated.

All I can say that this was not intentional, no one wants this and again I am sorry that it happened.

Hey, Vinyl and the rest! We are disappointed but look on the bright side. We in the UK still have access to one of the best (if not the best) multi-platform fast-paying sites around. The loss of achievements will be resolved after a couple of thousand spins and the RTP is still the same! As Bryan said recently on the thread where the foil-hatter (because he lost) accused Guts of having rigged games "be grateful you've got sites like Guts to play at", a view I thoroughly endorse. It ain't their fault. I'm over it.

I fail to see why it wasn't a simple case of reconfiguring the existing casino ID, or simply "status quo" as since you got the UK license, nothing needs to change. It's the casinos that have NOT gone for a UK license that will need to have their casinos reconfigured to block UK players.

If this is a weakness with MGS' systems, it's likely to affect many more casinos and their UK players during the next few days. MGS had ages to prepare for this, they shouldn't be getting caught out with irreversible technical problems such as this.

I wonder if the same will be happening at the other sites who use Quickfire, who are now UK licensed?
What about the likes of Betat, where the achievements on IR and TSII are actually worth money?

I would expect it has to, because this is how MGS are dealing with Quickfire casinos in order to allow them to carry on accepting UK players.

This will be a dent in the integrity of their software as it has highlighted a problem that even MGS themselves can't solve, and in some cases, it's a problem that removes value in the form of RTP for players of a number of games.

As this is just the latest case of something MGS has done causing this problem, there is no way for anyone to give players any guarantee that it won't happen again.

The loss of achievements has happened at several sites over the last 6 months, including Casinoluck, Nextcasino, Leo Vegas and more recently Videoslots.
I've no idea what the reason was, no one at the time was saying, although the rep from leo vegas mentioned in a PM to me that TSII was 'paying out too much' !!
Nothing was ever resolved. Apart from at Videoslots, they somehow managed to recover all the acheivements data.
Maybe MGS should give Videoslots' IT guys a call, lol

I can't believe that the achievements on thunderstruck2 been reset!
I play this slot a lot, I do like the 4th feature. I often wonder when the win plans are lit in gold affect the reel wins on the 4th feature, I have had 10 of the same kind rolling wins.
I used to bet the max but I have since cut back on betting high stakes.
Would cost me a few grand to fill the win plans and light up the feature bars all over again!
Mg should do something about this. Same thing applies to immortal romance.

Oh man that is just a joke of Microgaming. But oh well can't come as a Surprise for anyone. Microgaming does as it pleases them (as long it comes them to good) and it will because players will be building up all their achievements again. And from my inside figures of how long and how many spins (statistics) it takes then its just BS because we all know in long run it will be loss.

Also not first time they reset this anyways. Who knows when it will happen again? I am now officially done playing microgaming slots where you can build up features etc. for what I can care Microgaming can go where the sun don't shine. (and yes I am bitter as I had also build up LOADS of achievements accross all different casinos).

RANT OVER

Ps even better day for me missed out on Guts free spins today(couple hours ago) as worked late and forgot until now. But I though anyways normally Free Spins at Guts always stay active but seems they don't anymore (maybe also new uk legislation law......)

Funny, that was the same excuse I heard for Microgaming pulling all the fruit machine games for "routine maintenance". I believe this is simply an excuse, and a bad one at that because nobody who knows a bit about how the games work is going to believe it. If Microgaming believed it, they would have pulled TSII for "routine maintenance".

Looks more like an ass covering exercise by MGS because they messed up when planning and implementing the migration process for Quickfire games, forgetting about migrating the achievements. What they may have done is to simply create a new instance of all the games, rather than attempting any kind of migration. This is fine for the majority of the games, but there are about a dozen where players will lose out, and visibly so. MGS should have thought about this beforehand, and ensured nothing like this happened.

Is this still going on?

Inconvenient maybe but that's the only issue. If you like the lengthy bonus rounds of Odin and Thor on TSII then you'll have a couple of hours' play to do to get back there.

In the meantime the game will still pay 96%ish.

Having the Gold Hall Of Spins does absolutely zilch for your game payouts, the rounds are still random in returns. If you believe otherwise stop playing now!

It would suit MGS to actually respond to this thread as Ben has forwarded it to them.
But knowing them (experience from first hand) they won't answer us as they don't feel obliged to do so.

I have send e-mails to them on several occasions with very simple to answer questions.
I have sent them as a paying customer and they didn't even have the decency to answer me once!

I am upset about this but obviously this was out of Ben's hands (Guts).
So this is something a MGS rep could clarify for us.

I just would like to know:

Did the reset also affect the RTP for the player individually?
For example I was way ahead on IR and TFROL but I was behind on TSII and Playboy.
Now all the things have been reset does that mean a clear start?

Anyway, thanks Ben for clarifying this to us and apologies accepted m8!!

Mark.

The payout amount may be random and the same, in the long run. But the variance is different.
If my balance is high, I'll take a shot at the higher variance features, if it's low, i have the choice of choosing the lower variance features, especially on TSII

Bryan has asked Microgaming about dealing directly with players. What they told him is below & the full post can be found here, and the full thread here.

"MGS is not allowed to deal directly with players. Not because they don't want to, but because they can't by law. The regulations on the Isle of man state that if you don't have a gaming license - you don't deal with players - simple as that. It's the operators and licensing jurisdictions that are accountable for these sort of things.

Of course, if there are problems of players not getting paid etc., MGS needs to hear about it. They care about players - always have. But over the past few years, players' perceptions have changed, and that's one thing that needs to be addressed."

Hope this helps.

Couple of hours play?? More like a few weeks for us low rollers lol, Plus I totally understand it's an online slot and I pretty much believe it doesn't really matter which of the 4 features you choose, the prize / outcome is pre-determined 100's of spins in advance. The annoying part is I play for enjoyment and a win or withdrawal is an added bonus, real annoying when I cannot stand the 'all wins x5' and 'wild magic' features so I have to trigger 10 bonus rounds before I get to chose Odin (not so bad on IR as I prefer Troy) when Its hard enough to get one bonus round these days :P

Alright I missed that one...
Thanks for bringing that to my attention m8...

But isn't that a ridiculous rule,so they are not allowed to talk to us directly?
Like we have some kind of a dangerous virus lol...
We are the end user and also if you go to their main website they have a contact button and an e-mail address for queries...Maybe they should add there that it can be only used by clients that run their software and end users are not able to ask them questions directly. :-)

But sure, thanks for the heads up.

600 spins an hour at 30p should see you get 9-12 bonus rounds which will have you into Odin's 20 spins. The bonus rounds are approx. every 140 spins IIRC. You may be lucky and do it off a small deposit with the recycling of wins.

dont think youve been IM lately you would be lucky to hit that rate ,ive seen far more spins its a miff of around 140- 170 last four times ive played at a casino its been 400+ just to get a 7 -12x bet ha ha , back onto the guts matter its about the time money & hours & hours of play to get that board filled my account was the closet ive got to the gold paytable & i had the big ones which you never see ( with only 2 required on two slots 5scatters on one & 4 wilds on other .

Hahaha, if only...
I remember the days when they used to be quite regular.

But the last time i played, 3 scatters were dropping in between 250 and 350 spins, the longest i went was 843 spins between bonus rounds.
I wouldn't be surprised if a scatter or two hasn't been removed from the reel strips.
It would help pay the UK tax !!!

What they could do, for those who are bothered about losing their achievements, would be to give a £1000 NDB, the proceeds of which are COMPLETELY NONE-WITHDRAWABLE. Then it costs the casino nothing, and only cost the customer, their time

Nothing has changed. They still occur on average the same as before. If you are having an extended patch devoid of bonus rounds, keep a log of how many you've had previously and in how many spins. You may find before you had an average of less than 100 spins between each one. Law of large numbers applies after you play the game for a while. I have had 5 in less than 100 spins, on 2 consecutive spins even.

I have just checked my achievements at three flash casinos ( Unibet, BetVictor and Videoslots) and they are all still intact.

I have just seen an email from Unibet stating that they will have a downtime on the 3rd November in order to implement changes to suit the new UK license. This looks like being the time achievements will be reset at Unibet, so you have the weekend to do what might be necessary to minimise the impact. I am presuming that like Guts, Unibet will be getting a "new casino ID" for their Quickfire games, and we all know what happened at Guts when they did this.

well, if you take Videoslots, who publish their actual TRTP% of all their slots, as being representative of any of the other similar sites using Quickfire. There's something not quite right with TSII

Theoretical payout 97%
ScreenHunter_98 Oct. 30 18.30.webp

Actual Payout 94.8%
ScreenHunter_97 Oct. 30 18.29.webp

That's since Feb 2013, which I assume is when they started trading.

You'd expect after 21 months of play by all their customers, the actual would have been a lot closer to the theoretical by now
It must have had quite a few million spins in that time, and is probably one of their most popular slots.

Managed one in 250 spins on IR, quite a good one tho 130xbet so left game early. Back to all wins x 5 tho as my Guts has suffered a 'double reset' for some reason (not bothered by the way as my Lights spins gave me 5 hours play today lol) Was reset Monday, deposited and played and started to 'build up' again but today all reset incl bet sizes all over again ???

I managed 5...a whole 5 in less than 200 spins on my first taste of a migrated account with Spin casino, 7x starting balance in no time cos same happened on Spring Break, could not W/D due to nowhere near WR, since then every deposit has been 'gulped' without so much as a sniff, nowt but 'teasers'
