I think that only time will tell one way or another if this new leaf is going to be turned or not. Someone said earlier in this thread (sorry I can't remember who) that it will be interesting to see what happens in 3 or 4 months time. Whoever it was, I totally agree!
IF they manage to get past player issues sorted and IF players seem to be getting paid in a reasonable time frame and IF this board isn't cluttered with posts about people saying that Virtual ripped them off in 3 months time, would I play there? Not a chance. If all that happened in 6 months time, would I play there? Nope.
If they manage to do all of this and stay aboveboard for a year or two, if they become accredited at Casinomeister and have a decent rep to contact with issues....maybe, but I really doubt it.
The thing that bugs me is that here's this guy Marty (who seems like a decent sort) trying to clean up player issues from FOUR years ago. I mean really. For four years the Virtual casino group has sidestepped and or flat out ignored multiple player issues? And there are no doubt issues from even before that? That boggles my mind.
How can you trust a company like that? Especially when there are so many really good and trustworthy RTGs available? We're spoiled for choice now with RTG casinos. Jackpot Capital, iNetBet, ClubWorld, Intertops, Rushmore group. I have so many RTG casinos I can't afford to play them all! They don't give out 1000% bonuses or toss out free chips like condoms on spring break, but every single one will pay me if I win.
I would have to also echo what Chayton has spoken here, I agree 100%. As just a player, that has certain feelings for certain types of software for the public to frequent, RTG is and has become one of the least I would play. But when it comes to the difference in my own perception, as a player only, after having read all the negative issues this group has strewn across a decade, there is a distinct difference between a group of casinos having their tight times compared to a casino you can never be 100% comfortable spending money with.
Earlier in this post I did comment that I had been paid by CC, but then it was only $250, had it been significant amount, would I have been another victim and how could I possibly ever be sure when the track record speaks otherwise?
The reason I commend you Marty, is for the simple reason that maybe you will be able to get past players paid as they deserve their money. If that is all you are ever able to accomplish, then that is something at least, which is more than has been done before, but it will not change the public perception based on that alone.
If time shows that this group has taken a different stance on how they deal in the public, speaking as, honest and trustworthy, then great, but we all know the Blacklist status will remain until these are changed in reality, but the distrust in players minds may never be mended.
And even if the US market opens it doors again, this group may have already done to much damage to itself to ever realize the piece of pie they could have had. JMO
