Just moved to Canada, need guidance with online casinos

Thanks for the tips. I just found out RBC do not allow gambling websites with their visa cards. Do any casinos support paypal?

RBC does not support for sure, CIBC does, you can always go to Money Mart and get a prepaid Visa which are reloadable thru bill payment or in store, they can be used everywhere, as well you can use many of the web wallets or pay from your account (USEMYFUNDS, Citadel, Direct Pay etc....).

I use the Moneymart pre-paid visa. You can load it from your debit card in store, or your bank account online in a day or two. If you are using it to receive winnings back, be aware that a maximum of $5000 per transaction can be paid back to it, and a maximum of $10K on the card.

I also recommend Skrill (formerly moneybookers) as an e-wallet.

I bank BMO, I've had no issues receiving wires.

Welcome to Canada!

Last time I checked you can't use PayPal for gambling in Canada (even if the casino accepts it). Same goes for most countries actually - I believe you must reside in a country where online gambling is specifically regulated to be able to use it (eg: UK).

I'd recommend Skrill, almost everyone takes it and you can deposit into Skrill or using your credit card (fees apply) and then use Skrill to fund your casino account. Same thing with ecocard, although it's not as widely used as Skrill. UseMyFunds has recently added a fee every time you use it and a maximum of 2 transactions a day. Ukash is another option, again with fees.

I always use my CIBC visa debt card to deposit and take wire transfers to withdrawal. No fees for deposits but I do get charged for my bank wires.

I run a website for Canadians that lists the top casinos, sportsbooks and poker rooms.

*Edit I removed the link to my website, I don't think its allowed.

Yeah so do a lot of people here. Casinomeister also runs a website that lists the top casinos, etc., and you're being an ass by posting your link on his forums.

Second shameless plug in this thread.

To the OP, Skrill (Moneybookers) is my first choice for e-wallets, mainly due to how widely it's accepted.

I used to use Instadebit all the time, but they started charging a $1 fee for every deposit. Also, I'm assuming people were using it to instantly fund their casino account when they didn't have the funds in their bank acct to back it up, because many casinos now have a waiting period from the time you deposit with Instadebit to the time you can withdraw. Bet365 was the first casino I noticed do this, they brought in a 10-day waiting period before you could withdraw after a deposit with Instadebit.

I have used Jackpotcity, 32red and Sports Interaction. Prefer to go with echeques since there is no fees for using it. In somecases there are delays in cashout times for holding the deposit till clear. You will find in Canada we are limited to where we can go and the Misters list is good for giving that informatino about it.
