Summer’s already here, but Finland isn’t planning on pumping the brakes any time soon. Could be because it never gets scorching hot in Finland, but it’s much more likely they are setting the stage for 2027, when the Finnish online gambling market will open for new operators.
Definitely no rest for the Finns.
In preparation for the big day, they’ve drafted proposed regulations. These include €20 per spin slot limits (€10 for everyone under 25), an autoplay ban, and a reminder that’d activate every 15 minutes and push players to manually choose whether they’d continue or stop playing.
Seems like Finland’s really going big on player safety, and we’ve got zero objections to this idea.
Still, the talks on the proposed rules are ongoing, and they’ll remain this way until August 5. Here’s hoping they don’t end up getting changed along the way.
