How up to date is Casinomeister?

In trying to sort out things, I've been looking at other forums besides Casinomeister. With so many on-line casinos coming and going, I know it must be a bitch trying to keep up with them all.

For instance, I just had some dealings wioth Alladin's Gold casino, which I beleive has a good recomendation from here. My experience was not good. I deposited a small amount of money, and played blackjack for a while. I got about $300 ahead, and the hands seemed to be following the usual percentages for wins:draws:losses. In a hurry, the gain was wiped out and the house winning percentage seemed to go way up, although I will admit I didn't keep strict account of the hands played and the win:draw:loss percentages

I then went to the practice session and played a few hundred hands, keeping trackof the win:draw:loss hands. The win:draw:loss percentages were 35%:16%:49%. These figures are kind of far off from the published percentages. I talked to the live chat people about this dispcrepency and the first thing they told me was that I didn't play enough hands to prove that the software was rigged. After some further chatting, they said they couldnt even find my account, and they were kind of rude about it.

The bottom line is that, after looking on a lot of different forums, Alladin's Gold casino comes up on a blacklist. The problem seems to be that RTG software is not controlled by the vendors, and the casino can manipulate play to enhance the casino's winnign percentages. The casino also started charging my credit card for deposits I didn't make.

As it stands right now, I don't really trust any on-line casino to play fair.

What do you all think?

Well I am sorry you had a bad experience but that goes along with the gambling thing. Bad days, bad sessions and bad BJs :D.

Of course there are quite a few trustworthy casinos and CM is as up to date as it can get. Bryan is a busy dude but always here to answer questions and to make sure that us players and affiliates are in the loop. So to answer your question CM is up to date!

I've never had a bad BJ.

Have you?

So in essence, you were winning, didn't see when to stop, and then started losing. That's called gambling.
A couple hundred hands have no statistical value what so ever, so the casino was absolutely right in pointing that out.

In a sense this is true, and is one reason RTG casino software is considered rogue in some forums. However, they can't target individual players, all they can do is make a global change to the game settings for all players. For Blackjack, this is done by selecting from a number of available paytables, whereas in slots it is selecting one of three different RTP variants, each with different reel strips.

RTG have themselves to blame for incorporating these options into the software as we know 100% that casinos CAN operate on a variety of RTP settings, but cannot tell whether an individual operator has done so.

I have noticed that Club World casinos use a lower than "full pay" setting for 3 card poker. This is easily spotted by comparing their paytable to that of the MGS version which is "full pay".

The sudden switch from a winning run to a losing one is common to all softwares offering Blackjack, so is a natural consequence of the game, not something done specifically to screw over an individual player. It even happens in land casinos, where occasionally a high rolling player will "break the bank" on a lucky winning streak.

Frankly, I think your accusations are a bit unfair. It is widely known that the casinos have no control over the games though RTG itself is a little suspect IMO. They try everything within their power to make the games operator-friendly. That said, you have not produced any stats to back your claim and it could be just a gut feeling on your side. The unauthorised charges to your card are a worry though and the casino should come clean on this.

(1) You and I both know you should have stopped when ahead. But we also know that most WD methods require a larger WD amount at RTG casinos.
(2) If you gamble (either online or land based) a good bit, then you know that even several hundred hands (or pulls at the slots) is not enough to gauge overall payout percentages. Bad runs are common (and losing is eventually inevitable, considering house edge anywhere we play).
(3) RTG software is OK. But... just a personal note: I will not play BJ online anywhere. It's nothing like 'real' blackjack dealt by a dealer -- MHO only.
(4) Stay on top of the 'extra' charges made to your card. The casinos should deal with these swiftly. If you are not getting timely/reasonable responses from casino CS, please go up to the i-Gaming Reps tab at the top of the forum, once on the page, do a page search for ClubWorld and/or Aladdins and click on their name. Once on that page, look to the left for 'send private message' link. State your casino ID and a brief synopsis of the problem.

Welcome to Casinomeister!

As envigorating as all the BJ talk might be I thought it worth mentioning that there is A LOT of material spread across the CM site so it's pretty much guaranteed that it's not all going to be freshly up to date all the time. Bryan moves through the site updating stuff more or less constantly but like I said, there is a ton of stuff, so some of it will occasionally not be the freshest daisy in the bunch.

Max do you like the idea of making a thread so members can post outdated stuff that they find on the site to help Bryan? Stuff like adding the new names to the rogue pit, or updating the status of certain casinos.

Although there might be some things on here that aren't fully up-to-date, the fact remains that for a group of busy dudes, Max, Simmo! and Bryan, this site, out of date on some areas or not is far beyond many others online as far as awesomeness goes... and you guys go out of your way to make sure everything that's important is as up-to-date as possible IMO.

BJ's and Queens aside just wanted to take a minute to thank Bryan, Max and Simmo! for all the hard work.

I like the idea of maybe the thread where us members can post stuff that might not be up to date so it's easier for you guys to git er done.

We have a forum for Accredited Casino updates - which I feel is particularly important:
https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/community/accredited-casinos-updates/

Other stuff I try to update at time permits. Like Max mentioned, it's a pretty massive site and I'm usually tooling around with one thing or another. The last day and a half I've been dicking around with a new navigational tool bar. It works fine on the static pages, but I can't get it to work in the forum. One techno prob may suck up a couple of days on my end.

As I already admitted I don't have anything except gut feeling on the real money games I lost on. I did produce stats for the practice sessions.

As for beleiving that the software can't be hacked to give the casino an advantage, I think that is naive of you to beleive that someone can't manipulate it to target winning players. You yourself seem to think that RTG i suspect. Its only a small stretch to beleive that more than one version of the software can be run at the same time, one version giving the standard win:loss percentages and another to give odds favorable to the casino.

I'm interested in this answer. Why not?

And I hope you didn't think that I thought you were doing a poor job. I was trying to convey the idea that it may be too hard to do a good job. I don't know what the economics of creating an on-line casino are, but its got to be pretty cheap. That means that a shady operator, once outed as a crook, can turn around and create another casino and be back in business in a very short period of time.
