Grand Duke was in the Rogue Pit last year and had also won the Worst Casino of 2011 - recently they have been sold to the owners of GuruPlay.com. Grandduke.com is still owned by Integra Gaming, only the share holders have changed. The company is interested in cleaning up the casino's name. We're giving them the opportunity to redeem the casino brand by placing them in the "Old URL" section for 60 days - during this time any players and affiliates can post any outstanding issues in this thread.

Their casino rep is here: https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/members/

Good luck :D

I'm not interested in being guinea pig on this one ... you don't get "Worst Casino of 2011" by accident

I hope though putting them on probation will help some of the players in getting their money/winnings back

Golden Lounge was the Worst Casino in 2009, now they're in the Accred section.

Of course you shouldnt be a guinea pig though those who are put on probation usually put their best foot forward for a limited period at least. Hey, I believe even Virtual did until they reverted to their evilways not long after.

It is hoped that players who have been ripped off by this former rogue can come up and ask the current management to address outstanding issues.

Hi Grand Duke and welcome to the forum. There is another thread about Grand Duke being put on probation and its probably more appropriate to post there. I am not sure whether Bryan allows you to post your link though.

Not a good beginning by posting ad copy.

We are constantly striving to provide the best games, service with integrity and trust and look forward to seeing you again soon :what: - Grandduke was awarded the worst casino of the year 2011 - the thread you had posted this in was nearly a year old with shill postings.

If you want people to take you seriously, then you should look at the old complaints and address them. Thank you.

There is a new complaint added recently, where a player claims they made several deposits (with some bonuses), and can't get a straight answer as to why 300 of their 400 withdrawal generated from the last of their deposits was removed.

The only logical explanation I can think of is that the player took a 300 bonus on that last deposit, but if so, why all the "back & forth emails" and having a "director look at the case", rather than provision of a straight forward explanation of the "phantom" nature of Playtech bonuses, and how this lead to the removal of the 300 credits.

I would also expect players to know this, so removal of a bonus during a withdrawal would not be a shock to them.

It looks like this complaint is recent enough to have come from the new management's operation.

There was not enough transactional and bonus info given by the complainant to make a judgement as to whether this was merely a case of removal of a bonus from the withdrawal.

I've read "they have been sold to the owners of GuruPlay.com" but also "Grandduke.com is still owned by Integra Gaming, only the share holders have changed". I'm not sure I follow. Is the casino still owned by the original owners?

Thanks.

Is this casino normally working now? I found on some site that Grand Duke has s "closed casino" status there! I visited site and it looks quite ok, except their live chat didn't work. Window opens, I type my details and question and after pressing "send" button, the window disappears

Casino is open & Chat service

Hi

Please be advised that the casino is up and running and under new management. There will be many changes to come in the close future. So as they say. Watch this space.

The chat tool on the site, is not 'Live' currently, however any comments you leave will be sent to the support email address who will respond to you in due course. Otherwise once you download the client there is a chat service ran within this system so you can speak to a agent there.

I hope this resolves your concerns

Thanks

From what I know, Integra was purchased by Guruplay and they are keeping the business structure the same.

I think you need to address the changes now. This thread was set up for you to address the issues that caused Grand Duke to be tossed into the Rogue Pit, not to tout your casino. Thank you.

I don't like the sound of that.

Please tell me its not a superficial change to hoodwink players....I'm not saying its the case, just hoping what this person is saying isn't true.

Perhaps the rep could clarify?

Whether the casino is up and running I and probably a host of others dont care a damn. In fact, your posts to date seem intent to promote the site rather than resolving past issues which is not what Bryan wanted when putting the casino on probation. Can we stick to resolving past issues first before we get on with the active promotion of your site.

If this is the way you handle things, I will be worried about playing at your site though I cant play at Playtech anuway.

Youd also need to take a look at some terms you have regarding bonuses. Following is the part you have on irregular gaming. Basicly this term is really poorly written, and it is impossible as a player to know if you have played by the rules or not. Make some changes here, these terms are really confusing, and some even predatory. The first one below is the one that was added last by grandduke and it is predatory.

"In order to be eligible for withdrawal, you must have winnings from multiple games, in which winnings from any single game cannot exceed 50% of the total amount of the withdrawal request. "

Really? So you cannot play just one game to win, but you must play multiple games. But earlier in the it is mentioned that changing the game can be seen as irregular play.

"Wagering based on one specific slot machine, in order to significantly increase a bankroll, in relevance to the initial betting amount, and then switching to another game or request a withdrawal."

"Irregular Gaming"

Your use of any real money bonuses is subject to Our review for irregular playing patterns. To ensure fair gaming and the proper use of bonuses, We consider low margin betting, equal betting, zero risk bets or hedge betting to be irregular gaming when deployed to exploit bonuses. Further examples of irregular playing patterns also include, but are not limited to: (i) placing single or multiple bets of a value of fifty percent or more of the bonus on any single game, individual hand, or round, building a balance and significantly changing play patterns (bet size, game types, bet structures etc) in order to meet the bonus release requirement; (ii) placing large bets which result in a substantial gain followed by a drop in bet size equal to or more than seventy five percent of the previous average bet size until the bonus release requirements have been met (iii) Wagering based on one specific slot machine, in order to significantly increase a bankroll, in relevance to the initial betting amount, and then switching to another game or request a withdrawal. (iv) if We have good grounds to suspect that you have sought only to exploit a bonus offered by Us in good faith to enhance your entertainment (for example, on acceptance of a bonus, the minimum wagering requirement is met and funds are subsequently withdrawn).
The Casino reserves the right to decide in its sole discretion which activities constitute "irregular play" for Bonus Play through Requirement purposes from time-to-time and to withhold any withdrawals where irregular play has occurred to meet Bonus Play through Requirements. In order to be eligible for withdrawal, you must have winnings from multiple games, in which winnings from any single game cannot exceed 50% of the total amount of the withdrawal request. "

Oh my goodness, I got tired just from reading all the rules and regulations. I do not want to play at a place, even if I could, where I had to be scared of doing the wrong thing (e.g. don't play this game for too long, don't switch around too much). I know there has to be rules but must a player print them out, highlight the particulars, and have an anxiety attack wondering if you did, did not, or may have done something that will keep you from withdrawing :p Thanks...but no thanks!

I would say that if they don't repeal these ridiculous terms immediately, then it is obvious the real ownership has NOT changed, and that their probation period should be ended with a note "never to be considered again".

Only a totally rogue operator would even begin to entertain such terms that are clearly in place to trap players into losing their winnings (and I don't say that lightly or often)

50% of winnings from one game

This term by itself wipes out all jackpots as "irregular gaming." Let's say a player deposits $100 for a $100 bonus and plays $5 - $10 per spin (within the rules) and then hits a jackpot for 10k. The rollover if it's 20x (kind of standard) would be $4000. Unless a player gives more than 2.5x the required rollover, it's not possible for said player not to have more than half their winnings from one game and could thus be disqualified under the rules.

Also, I often stay at one game for an entire playthrough if that machine is running hot for me. Sometimes I switch. I'm not really sure why that rule is in there.

I understand their concerns about bonus abuse, but these rules are hard to comprehend and impossible to abide by.

I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt as they simply 'inherited' the rouguish terms. Yet, up to the present moment I have yet to detect any sincerity from the rep in resolving past issues so its likely this thread will likely be useless.:(

Actually to my knowledge smartlivecasino which has had its share of trouble lately is the parenting company of guruplay, and now grand duke aswell.

Acquiring Grand Duke by a group that is already struggling with complaints (offering 30% of legitimate winnings or you get your account locked etc) will only add injury to insult and make Guruplay and Smartlive look worse, rather than make Grand Duke more player friendly.

At least this is my first impression.

Especially with this crazy rule that you have to have winnings from multiple games that I fail to understand. No reply from support also doesn't bode well.
