Hello from Saffron Walden, which is a town in Essex in England. I work for Better Value International Ltd., we're launching a new online casino site in a few months time, hopefully all up and running by the middle of this year. A nationally broadcast advertising campaign is being prepared to help us get off to a flying start, we can't wait to start!

I have gambled much of my adult life so far, roulette was my favourite game. I signed up to GAMSTOP about 6 months ago, which was very helpful to enable me to stop my own gambling. An amazing run of good luck over Christmas 2022 period from the local betting shop including some winning greyhound and horse-racing bets, and then I stopped gambling.

When Better Value Casino is able to launch during 2023, with a UK Gambling Commission license, I will be available in the event of any problems arising which need to be sorted, as a representative. We won't be able to accept players from outside of the UK until early 2024 that's the most likely timescale.

I have experienced times in my life when I had bet too much and had ended up with no money. In the end, I managed to budget gambling better and that helped to have finished on a good run of luck. And now, I and a small launch team are working hard, myself full time to get our brand new casino successfully opened later this year. We're going to offer live roulette to start with, a few slot games later in the year.

I am also a musician composing music for Piano. My favourite composer is Rachmaninoff, in my opinion he was the best composer in the world of his time. Other music I like includes music from 1999, Chicane Offshore 97 is my favourite track from back then. I use a Yamaha digital piano which plays out sampled sound from real acoustic grand pianos.

Of course I wish you nothing but the very best of luck with your new casino and hope you thrive and become popular and do well, whilst also providing an enjoyable experience to your end users.

I am far from an expert but I feel you need to offer more than just live roulette in your early days to attract players to switch from where they're currently playing. Appreciate costs on top of costs make this easier said than done but if I am totally honest with just live roulette on offer to start with, I feel you may struggle.

Hi Shafted. No we don't have the license yet! Although our platform is working well in testing, we can't accept any bets yet. Licenses can take some time to get - they usually take up to about 16 weeks that's when everything is provided correctly in the application.

The platform we will be running has been programmed bespoke to our requirements, it will be fantastic to have it available to the public. We've tried to include as many helpful features as possible, one example balances are updated instantly in any place displayed on the website, sometimes at existing casino websites this is not the case. The platform is new and runs on Amazon Web Services servers, I am not working in our technology department, but all the features we need are included.

We did consider early on integration with Evolution Gaming, for example to include their Immersive Roulette game. One of the considerations and reasons why we haven't included integration with Evolution was that some players, including myself back then, were finding that very occasionally bets could be rejected due to not being received in time by the Evolution servers. We believe we have a more stable platform where technical problems arising should be very rare. Also we are investing in load capacity so that if demand is high it can be comfortably met by the servers, not forgetting the personnel requirements to answer player's questions and provide customer service help whenever required.

So you think that a one man band (no full time emploees) working from home who has not started trading yet could obtain a ukgc licience, oh and this business2business hosting server you mention has to actually have a UKGC licience also to be your platform provider before you can apply,

Sorry Shafted, I work from home and this is not a one-man band, there are over a dozen individuals and companies from around the world involved in setting this up already. When we start operating, there is expected to be 10 or more full time staff. The platform partner does need a license with UKGC, that is correct. To be clear, Amazon Web Services is not the platform partner. We don't see any reason why we wouldn't get the license, UKGC have been very helpful so far.
