As a spain supporter was not the best result, but I liked the overall championship of the team. We have new flesh blood to give us again good results in a very short future.. perhaps in 2022 World Cup. And Congrats fr the Italian team. Anyway I will root England ( I hope they will win today) :p

TBH I think Spain played better than us, you had some unlucky situations when shooting.
Anyway, as about the future, your national team will be a top one for many many years ahead, the young new players were impressive.
Maybe you have to work on a better keeper. Unai Simon did not show a great confidence imho.
i Viva España !

Brilliant game management from Southgate and i thought England were excellent in the second half.
I think it will be a decent final on Sunday, and I still think its coming home...

Very cheap penalty but there was contact so the VAR couldn't interfere as there was no clear error in giving the penalty.

Great tournament for Denmark after the worst start possible. I hope Italy takes it sunday simply because then that means we lost to the European Champion earlier

I can not believe WE will witness this in our lifetime! I never thought this day would come. NOW WE JUST NEED TO WIN THE FINAL!

It's really spooky - at full time I went out for a smoke and was expecting to hear excited shouting and so-on in the distance but it was really quiet. Then I just picked up a low whine and sniffing/sobbing sound. Checked my weather station and the wind is from the North North-West, sound obviously carrying down from Glasgow and Edinburgh....:laugh::cheerleader::xxx::xxx::xxx:

P.S. @Kroffe - you mean like the soft questionable free-kick that led to Denmark's goal?

Handed a freekick 30 min into first half
Handed a pently kick during overtime.
Same thing.
Not another one using that bloody Americanism!!

It even came up on the BBC News Channel after the game when the scroll said 'England Beat Denmark 2-1 in Overtime' grrrrr..... :axeman2:

It's 'Extra Time' - like the casinos offer you extra spins not 'overspins'.

Overtime is something you do for an employer outside your contracted hours. Yes, it has other meanings in different contexts too but not in football, or 'soccer' lol...

It certainly wasn't the most penalty-ish penalty ever, but England had the run of the game at the time and were putting on a lot of pressure, which is the kind of situation where you can get a decision like that.

Good game, tense and exciting from start to finish - and it's certainly set up quite the final on Sunday.

Wonder if it's possible I was the only person in England (apart from the odd rare, lonesome Dane) who rather than screaming for a penalty, was shouting at Raheem for playing for it. Looked way too soft for me, and not a way you'd want to win a big game.
I could just picture any other nationality reminding us of that penalty if we were to go on and win the final. Sure, we ain't won yet. But just looking at the last few posts of this thread you know it's gonna be brought up if you brag :p
Even if we lose it will be; "Well, you're over rated. you're shit. And if not for the ref you should never have reached the final anyway" ;)

Im just as likely to get overspins as extra spins from casinos these days.
:p

No-one mentioning the stonewall penalty England should have had when Kane was fouled running into the left side of the box then?

P.S. had to laugh at the BBC press page report on reaction from other countries:

"And if you're picking up your daily paper in Scotland, the result may pass you by. A single line at the bottom of the front page of the Scottish Daily Mail tells readers they'll have to turn to page seven for details."

And there was no booing of the national anthems as you will have noticed. The English like the Danes and Scandinavians. That's reserved merely for the Scots, Germans and French. I recall when I was a mere lad in 1992 me and my pals all screaming for Denmark when they won the tournament against the odds in 1992, not just because they were playing Germany in the final. Check our place names out - Corby, Derby, Spilsby, Formby etc. They were from the last Danish invasions. Mind you, us poor Britons not living in Saxon regions had to pay them extortion money for protection known as 'Danegeld' and being jolly good sports we haven't launched a case in the EU court for a refund lol...

For a nice touch watch this as Mason Mount makes this young fan's day!

Exactly, not to mention the ref had a terrible game and booked Harry Maquire for a perfectly good header who never took his eye off of the ball.

I think we deserved that win and were the better team.

Danes started fouling and time-wasting, clearly wanted penalties and I don't blame them, but it was a fair result.

Now bring on the Italians! Come on England!

That would be because the Scots are still celebrating having won this:
