Some members may not have read through all of the replies to the news that Bebo67 has not only been through a nightmare battling cancer but has just lost her son unexpectedly.

Amongst the replies was a request for help from her.

Sorry I can't help at the moment.

You may already be aware but animal charities are where my heart lies and after hearing of the animals in distress and needing medical attention in Australia, I sent a reasonable sum to them on Sunday - believe me if I could have got on the first flight out there to help, I would have - it breaks my heart seeing them so helpless

Even if it’s a member who you’ve never spoken to, someone in our community is reaching out for our assistance.

If We all were to imagine the worst that life could throw at us, creating the lowest point ever, then surely Jen’s plight would be that.

- Those who go the extra distance to donate what they can from limited funds.

- Those who simply can’t afford to but take the time to leave a message.

-Those who can’t afford much but manage a minimum donation ($10CAD/ £5.88 /€6.87).
It would only take 150 more members to do this to reach the target.

- And those who simply walk on by, too engrossed in their own lives. (Often to post the mega wins shots or get something for free).

I don't think it's right to guilt trip people into donating, those that want to and can, will do.

I partly agree but at the same time Supa is simply posting out of sense of compassion. Its not as if she is seeking something for her own benifit so lets not get too harsh x

No guilt trip at all. Simply stating my point of view.
If I was ever at such a crappy point in life, and had been dealt such a hand, I would hope there were people who cared whatever the community.

If other people do feel guilty, then that’s on them not me.

Hard time concentrating and making decisions. I picked out his urn and will have.....Love you forever,forever my son you will be. I remember when he was 5 coming home with that book, and I started bawling when I read it. It became our catch phrase after that. The funeral home is going to make a charm bracelet out of his finger prints for Kayla.I wish you guys could have known him. He was such an amazing young man. Loved so much. His death benefits are being sent off and will arrive in a couple of months, so I ask that no more donations be made. Having a heck of a time withdrawing it, so Im in the process of being removed and the one that organized it will do the withdrawal. Once that is done, it will be closed down. My sincere, heartfelt thank you and gratitude. One of the toughest times any parent can go through! I believe in a higher power and this was reinforced to me on Tuesday night.
I went to bed with a clear head and talked to Grant. ( my talking to myself has come in handy) As I was closing me eyes I heard a scared whimper and " mom" and then another whimper. It was so clear and no mistaking it. It was if he was right beside me. I told him not to to be scared and that he could sleep with me.
Wednesday morning I read up on it, and when a person died suddenly they are confused and scared. So I had a long talk with him after that. Told him not to be scared, there were people that loved him waiting, and that I would be fine and always here. I would get through this. I will talk to him everyday, make sure justice is done and he can come visit anytime he wants, but he needs to cross. Grant was an old soul and his legacy from his friends is his ability to always be there and help in any way he could. He was 100% selfless! His love of laughter and song. He would always burst out in song when ever he felt the need. He wasnt meant to be here all his physical life and I am blessed beyond words that I was able to have him for 26 years. Until we meet again my dear son!
