Bovada and BVX blocking withdrawals 24 hours, unethical

Numerous times in the past few months I have attempted to make withdrawals on bovada and its sister casino BVX. As part of the process they send you a six digit code via text to confirm everything and put the withdrawal through to the next step so that it can be approved processed and sent to my wallet. Well there's some sort of flaw in their system because even though I've entered the right code and even though you were supposed to get 3 attempts to enter the right code I entered the right code it said I entered the wrong code and it blocked me after one attempt even though I entered the right code and didn't get 3 attempts. They say this is an issue for safety. If that was the case then why do they let you still deposit when they play these games? Because it happened to me last night when I was trying to cash out $2500 on BVX they pulled the same garbage and me being the undisciplined person that I am, I couldn't help myself and started gambling the money being held by bvx today and I lost it all back. Which is exactly what they wanted to happen when they blocked my account for 24 hours for no reason. And the same exact thing has happened again today. They say that they are not allowed to unlock my account due to the security reasons but that is garbage because they have unlocked my account when it happened to me three days ago. So obviously these casino sites are engaging in unethical behavior praying upon people who they think will continue to gamble and lose the money back if they are forced to keep the money in their account for an extra 24 hours. It's shameful disgraceful just another reason why online gambling is a sketchy operation. And there is no other logical reason behind this stuff. SO STAY AWAY!!!!

maybe I’m missing something - but if you’re account is “locked” how are you able to spend the funds….? My advice for the slow rolling withdrawal tactic is to request withdrawal then take a self exclusion for the duration of the painfully slow withdrawal process… if you wanna play deposit elsewhere. Now if only I could practice what I preach ?

Here is the latest. Well, it has proven costly for Bovada as they continue to block my account even though it should never have been blocked out in the first place. Now I guess 5 hours is the magic number. I think what they are doing is totally uncool even though they have paid for it in cash. However, I could have just as easily lost it all. The point is one should be able to withdraw their funds when they want and not be subjected to this chicanery.

Another interesting thing is the deposit tab remains open and ready for business? They say its for security purposes. I say they are FOS.

It is astonishing to me how much unnecessary hassle online gamblers in the United States endure daily. In a country where you can legally smoke marijuana in 38 states, purchase Adderall online after a brief consultation with a web doctor, or access virtually any type of pornography, most Americans are still technically prohibited from placing an online blackjack bet for real money. I do not understand whom the legislators believe they are protecting by keeping online gaming illegal in all but seven states. If anything, it is an exercise in hypocrisy because these same states have no issue allowing their citizens to gamble on sports. And you know what? All these online sportsbooks are legitimate and don't mess around with their customers.

The same cannot be said for online casinos that cater to American players. These sites are operated by bad actors who run their businesses in bad faith and exploit their American customers. Why? The answer is simple: because they know that since their operations are technically illegal, these customers have no legal recourse. So, they take advantage.

Of course, one could argue that people aren't forced to spend money on these sites, but that's not the point. The point is that these sites advertise themselves as legitimate businesses offering a fair product, and that's simply not true.

Having been a customer on and off for the better part of 20 years, I would say that Bovada is one of the worst when it comes to mistreating their American players. They couldn't care less about their customers. A recent example of this is what I experienced today. They are advertising a promotion called the Mega Scratch Card. The rules and regulations clearly state that to qualify, one must:

Introduction & Eligibility

  • The BOVADA MEGA SCRATCH CARD Promotion is valid between 20/08/2024 - 20/08/2025.
  • The BOVADA MEGA SCRATCH CARD promotion is available only to players who have met the requirements stated below. Winnings are confirmed via Messages / Inbox.
  • To qualify, players must deposit a minimum of $150.00 in a single transaction and wager a total of $500 on any of our available Casino games within the next 7 days from the time the deposit has been made (provided the player's wagering does not drop below $500 in the week).
  • After meeting eligibility requirements, the BOVADA MEGA SCRATCH CARD promotion will be unlocked within approximately 30 minutes for participating players.
  • Eligible players can participate in the BOVADA MEGA SCRATCH CARD promotion once every 24 hours for 7 consecutive days after meeting the eligibility criteria (provided the player's wagering does not drop below $500 in the week).
  • Once the BOVADA MEGA SCRATCH CARD turns grey, the entry for that day has been used. Players can return the following day to unlock random wins/Reward Points.
I met all these criteria yesterday, and over a day later, I'm still waiting for them to unlock the Mega Scratch Card so that I can participate. When I reached out to customer service this morning, I wasted 20 minutes chatting with a bot before it finally confirmed that I did meet the criteria, but that I still had to wait 24 hours for Bovada to unlock the promotion. When I mentioned that the "Introduction & Eligibility" section said it would only take 30 minutes, the chat was suddenly cut off, which automatically erased the chat history, eliminating all traces of this outright lie. When I reconnected to the chat, the customer service rep (bot) named Diego never replied. After staring at an empty chat box for 10 minutes, I terminated the conversation.

I could spend an hour describing all the instances in which Bovada has engaged in questionable behavior over the years. For example, last NFL season, I placed a sports bet that I won but had to argue with customer service for a day to get them to credit my account with the money I had clearly won.

Or how, a few months ago, I won money in their casino, and when I went to withdraw the funds, I accidentally entered the wrong code. Despite the fact that you're supposed to get three attempts, I was immediately locked out of my account after just one. And it wasn't even a real lockout—it was a partial lockout because I was only prevented from withdrawing funds for 24 hours, but I could still deposit funds or continue playing. Obviously, this was an attempt to slow-roll me, hoping that I would continue to gamble and ultimately lose the money back.

I could go on for another 10,000 words about the various scams, misrepresentations, and unethical practices that are part and parcel of the online gaming industry, but it only makes me angry, and it does no good until our representatives in the United States legislature pull their heads out of the sand and federally legalize online gaming so that citizens can stop getting screwed by offshore sites run by criminals in places like Malta, Cyprus, or Costa Rica.

Well its been 24hrs since I was told I would have to wait 24-hrs, despite that the promo said would be no more than 30 min, for my chance at fame and riches in its Mega Scratch Card Promotion. I guess despite averaging 100K in Casino Play each month Bovada thinks I am some 2-dollar horse bettor. Scumbags.

Not one, not two but three deposits That me its deposit requirement and I think that I dont't have to waste time proving that I wagered the required $500 to become eligible. Yet they treat me like a welcome mat and make up policies on the fly like making me wait 48 hrs to access its promo. BOVADA is nothing more than a den of thieves.

They are really unbelievable to not even answer my chat request. Its because they are crooks, and with that knoweldge figure nothing good can come from this.

You know that its not about protecting you the consumer, but protecting all the land-based casinos for as long as humanly possible?

I personally think it's a scandal that US citizens are made to run the gauntlet with the Bovada's and the Ignitions of this world, because legislators have been lobbied to death by land-based interests.

I would suggest making a complaint, but Bovada don't care about that. People just need to stop playing at Bovada, that's the only way this ever gets resolved.

I certainly have had plenty of time on bovada to see and experience various cut throat tactics that should absolutely not be going on. Casinos have plenty of advantages already no need to resort to some of the things they most certainly do.
With that being said I can also say that Bovada is one of the online casinos that I've won a good amount of money on. I just wish I knew a few things before I started chasing the big wins I was getting cause I'd be several hundred thousand ahead.
As far as thr Mega Scratch Card I've been playing that every day for a while and it usually gives you $20-$40. And once a week sometimes twice I get $100 all depends on the symbols you pick. And yes it's really depends on making deposits often of $150.
I have some good advice if playing on their site or other sites as a new player, a new player that didn't register through a know players invite. If you do that you will already have less chance to win as the person that just registers and plays as I did. When you do that it's like the slots are wide open at times throughout the day and you are very likely to hit some great hits. Reaching 5k-15k once or twice a week is very very likely if you know when to up bets ect. But once you withdraw so much you wins drop off significantly. People that can make big sums like that usually have a bank roll of 1kor more although I started off with 100 or 200 dollars and to this day my deposits arnt near as big as I once did and it's possible to reach a thousand or more pretty quick. Also once you hit something larger on a slot play different slots for a while cause the "system" remembers what you've hit there and it can take awhile for that skit to start hitting for you again. If you play slots, which i recommend for a bit anyway get to know the slot, because it matters if you stop the reels or how you stop the reels by hitting the spin button. Like holding down once you spin until it lights up then quickly hitting the button again but in a certain spot like a clock, one spin it will be 3oclock the next might be 12 then it maybe be not at all let it stop on its own. Just have to play around at min bet to see this happen. Some of my favorite slots are pretty simple and some are not, they can be very frustrating. Sometimes a slot will take a few hundred before you start to get wins and sometimes it can happen faster but usually it takes a bit. I've noticed sometimes a slot will hit fast and constantly for a bit if betting $5 or $10 rather then $2 and sometimes when you bet larger like that it can also take longer because wins are bigger. So just have pay attention and change bets, change machines and even log out and I again and maybe you'll be on a winning program as I look at like that. Also many times when playing 3am- 5am I've hit big wins after a night of several hundred thousand people playing on the site it tends to give up some cash quickly. But when it's not gotta back off the slot take a break or find a different machine. It may sound weird but all these things come to you after you play online slots for a while. Other and a main thing to keep in mind is that they are casinos and we know they don't build actual casinos from winners and online casinos have their own challenges or expenses but when really paying attention to this like I mentioned you can come out ahead but if you keep chasing the big wins and in the same machines you'll find yourself upset and giving back all you withdrew plus some. So it's common to "bait" new players with easy or loose slots then tighten them down and watch them deposit hand over fist trying to get those wins again. I just learned the hard way and it's a big loss so far. Also switch up sites, im registered in like 10 different online casinos. And Bovada is and has been my go to even though I just recently confirmed my suspicions so I'm currently weighing my options but bovada has been excellent with withdrawals, every day of thousands a few times and deposits are fast. Disaplin is a very important word with online gaming especially slots. And casinos probably aren't trying to get a law suit or have some sort of license problem by taking someone's balance, although it occasionally happens but I dint belive they'll risk what they have as a whole for ripping off one player here and there, if it happens I think it's an individual that has some access because it's happened to me quite a few times . I just recently decided to get some of this out for people to be aware of and not do what I did. Even though I have significant proof, and a good bit of that too the last thing I want is to be dealing with years of courts and lawyers again and not being able to play anywhere. Mistakes can and often are expensive lessons to learn, in my case very expensive and very very frustrating to say the least. Its so frustrating that casinos have the edge they do and then something happens that takes everything every time you play for months it's just greed I guess and I hope there's people investigating as it's really damaging to bait people in like some do then take away any chance to win, but the player doesn't know and in short order they've deposited 100k trying to win 15k... , that's criminal and that needs to end. Also having these sites to play on is also a good thing that I don't want to see go away, just would like a bit more fairness and alot less greed mixed with immunity it seems.. idk
Sorry didn't mean to go all writter on this response on the Mega card, I like to help and have alot of experience with in person and a few years now on line casinos. We're on the same side the casinos are on ther other so least I can do is give advice or let people know what could happen.

Well said sir, I'm nit experienced here and not always sure if I should be giving my 2 cents bit this is day 2 for me and I wish I'd been on here before I joined some sites. I agree with what you said about legalization of online gaming. I know Colorado has some new laws that protects players in the sense of not committing a crime by playing and also banning Colorado from joining bovada. Its all over money and we've always been the ones offered up to pay the debts of politicians or bad business by local government. Would be nice if we had some protection from these bad actors that knowingly rip off players that think they have a legitimate chance, sometimes they do but mostly I dont think so. When a "host" lies to you and interrupts you every time you have interaction with them it's safe to say they're arnt a "host" they are gangsters that are assigned to a player that's aggressive or good, to make sure that player doesn't take any or much money from that site. I was just baptized by fire so to speak and I'm so upset I could spend a million dollars going after them and make sure everyone knows in America anyway what happens when they think they know a player isn't aware. Balances disappear when logging back in, they sometimes are much lower than what you knew it was when you stopped playing. And you can see that the play history has been set to match what ever was taken out.
I'm sure now after a dozen times of seeing zero balance or ver small balance that I had much more when I logged out. And I've seen my play history not match as it may had just happened but then minutes later it shows I played it to the balance shown and that's a individual like a host or something that thinks his player is nieve or stupid. Yeah can only hope that they are caught and players are made whole that have been taken for huge sums of money..

I'm wondering if this is perhaps because when you left a game, you went back to the lobby screen before closing the casino. But that perhaps the lobby screen hadn't refreshed/updated the balance shown in the lobby to match the balance you ended the game with.
If you caught a glance of a not yet updated lobby balance after closing a game where you endured a loss, quit, and came back the next day, then maybe that not yet updated balance was stuck in your memory, giving you occasional doubts that the balance you saw the next day was not what you remember?
Pretty sure that the lobby balance not instantly updating is a thing at some places depending how u close a game. Just a hunch.

I just can't see them doing this a dozen times to a player that they believe might fall for it. It would only take 1 person to record proof of it happening with a mobile phone and the poop would fly, and all for what? Screwing over the 1% of customers they think they can get away doing it to, for a few extra bucks . You would also have to assume others would have brought this up on forums before too, if it were done to more than 1 person. Let's face it, not many people take kindly to having their money stolen. Especially a dozen times!

Though, one thing is for sure. Many US facing casinos unfortunately do get away with a lot of slimey, crooked shite. What you describe just seems too blatent of a theft to go undiscovered, imo.

Well that was certainly not the case for me. I mega scratched over 30 cards minimum and the most I have gotten is $10. Thats right $10 lousy dollars. So you must be living right. And I have also won a substantial amount of money on Bovada but every good scammer lets a person win some of the time..

One more thing. By allowing me to play Bovada and its sister scam BVX they are blatantly breaking US law. So that right there informs one of its moral compass. So with that in mind why in the heck would they play fair. They are criminals.

Well things happening fast, I find myself always giving credit to those who don't really deserve it, as I did a few days ago with my review on Bovada.

I certainly hang on too long even when I know things arnt adding up and promises are broken by staff or a host and I always regret giving so.e credit at the same time maki.g public of the wrongs or mistreatment of a hosted player.
Online casinos aren't as new to me as most technology or casino review forums. But I'm here again as the last few days have just been mind boggling to me with bovada and their ongoing out right dishonest practices while placing restrictions on players.

The last few days I'd hopped things would be better with bovada as I've been a loyal player for 3 years maybe more but nope just happy smiles while doubling down with the utmost disrespect to a player that has put in 100k + and is currently in the neighbors of 6 weeks without any significant win, not even close. Yet I keep depositing my hard earned money hoping to catch a win like I was getting the first year and half and has become very very rare in the last year.
I sent an email to customer support as my host wasn't being a host, if he's there which the norm lately and it's less than I expect when wagering significant amounts.

I thought maybe I'd get a temp suspensions from my email but to my surprise I received an email from this host offering me additional bonuses for January. Nothing said about replacing my current bonus program, if it was I'd turned it down immediately as it's less then I get twice a week from deposit bonuses @ 35%. Minus the math skills they seem to have so i usually get half sometimes all if it's been a slow week making deposits .

Yesterday I got my 1st week bonus and a 100 in free play which was something puke $560 bit it didn't get me anywhere either has all the deposits or bonuses for 6 weeks or so. It's beyond frustrating when this is the second time I've experienced pretty much 100% no wins restriction. I also deposited over 1k and that too wasn't enough to get over 700 bucks and I'm needing to do alot more than that before I make a withdrawal, which lessens my bonus on deposits.
Tuesday and Friday I get reviews of those and lately I'm very anxious for that bonus. But when I called in today I was put on hold 3 times for 20 minutes just to be told that my host now has to be the one to do the review and not the other hosts as theve done for months when my guy isn't available.
I'm told he'll be in Thursday evening and no help at all no can do sorry guy that deposits thousands left and right.
My review I left some issues out as I'm pondering or at least looking to possibly have another contract with a firm that has been successful with holding bovada accountable. Not sure i should even day that but I'm also looking for some advice from people here or players not just a law firm. I'm not one to cause a ruckus over a few bucks and some dishonest practices but I'm talking many thousands of dollars and mongering my play in real time to prevent me from winning, I'd never known for sure if he didn't let his arrogance take over. And it's on paper no less m, I'd think that's pretty damaging to this site and to others if people realize what can take place. I've had instructions to switch to incognito to log in which I'd never been asked to do that in over 2 years so not sure that's fishy or not but problems did arise after and I'd whipped my device and reset it because I wasn't able to win and I thought I was hacked so after I did that I had a hell of a time losing back in and that's when I was told to do that. For weeks my phone became unbelievably hot, so hot I put it in the freezer several times and eventually I rest the phone and logged in successfully and haven't had that heat problem at all since, so who knows. There's alot I don't know when it comes to technology or how scams maybe happening by people off in shore casinos (offices)

But I've had it the disrespect is at a level I can't get my head around and I've stayed just hoping to get a chunk back before I really loose my cool and get booted. I've bit my toung several times as this online treatment from the casino I've spent so much time trying to build that level of loyalty, boy was i wrong.. not sure this type of post is appropriate here or wanted but I'm at a loss and would like to protect someone else or maybe try to find out if other people have had similar experiences although I imagine they'd jumped long before now..
Thsnks
