Baptism by Fire - success Betspin is giving it a go!

Another £100 lost @betspin, but despite continuously losing at this casino, I still like it... Which makes no sense.

I guess that's the best complement I can give. Even though I continue to lose, I am fully confident in the staff and knowing when the day comes when I manage a win, I can relax knowing everything will be fine.

It's the same games you find at 100s of other casinos, yet somehow certain casinos just give a good impression and makes you want to play there.

Jory - that makes total sense. It was the same for me; lost quite a bit before I made a nice withdrawal. Just "knew" that the casino was solid and trustworthy so stuck with it.
Once they add some more games, I'll be completely at home at BetSpin :D

Betspin allowed me to open an a/c and deposit multiple times despite already being self excluded from Guts, where it shares a license.

Regardless of my own stupidity, the UKGC licence conditions require a license holder to 'take all reasonable steps to refuse service or other prevent an individual who has entered self exclusion from participating in gambling'.

Given I used the same email address, same user ID and same home address - in this case it's fair to say reasonable steps were clearly not taken.

I have PM'd the Betspin and Guts reps and we'll see. The rules are there for player protection - it's not good enough for casino's only to invoke them if a player has actually won so it suits them (I am not saying this is the case here - it may well have been a genuine error - but given I used the same details at both sites, something clearly is not right).

(I note a similar claim is being made in another thread - not quite the same - my Guts exclusion was 10 days before I signed up at Betspin)

Just feel that all slots are bit cold right now. 3x $200 in and have not seen a good bonus feature (100x). Maybe too many big wins on DOA...

damn then who is getting that big win on DOA :(

i also feels the same sentiments nice casino great support but not that lucky enough

i mostly play Doa so cant really complain ... next time i will try some other slots

but one thing they give me some good offers and also some nice freechips so kudos to that

love betspins and yes will play more oh and once i managed a small withdrawal and everything was swift

Hi The Blue Anchor,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
I will investigate what has happened here and I have also replied to your private message.

In the meantime please rest assured that we have put steps in place so that if you have self excluded on Guts.com you will not be able to register with the same details on Betspin.

Thanks,
Phil.

Thanks Phil and for your PM.

It's a little concerning for me as I also have an active self exclusion at Guts. When I learnt recently that these casinos were connected, I felt the correct action to take was to contact Live Chat and ask if my self exclusion at Guts would be a problem when playing at Betspin.

I spoke with Irene (or similar name) and explained my situation. I was told that having a self exclusion at Guts would not be a problem when playing at Betspin. Since I was given the green light I continued to deposit.

What I'm reading here seems to contradict that but as I was logged into my account at the time I'm assuming this chat was recorded and perhaps Phil would wish to review it. I'm not sure of the exact wording by memory so I can't quote it here.

I would like to continue playing at Betspin, but I don't exactly feel confident right now as I'm not entirely sure If I'm legally allowed to play or not.

Hey,

Please send me a PM with your Betspin username and I will have a look for you.

Thanks,
Phil.

Please don't start this nonsense BetSpin :(

Reopened the game several times but done this each time on the first spin. Seen these errors before at Guts, and we all know the difficulties faced there nowadays

Started off pretty well today too, but once MG games start doing this I'm outta there. Withdrew and will try again another day.

I have received an email from Betspin informing me they are refunding all my deposits.

While I believe this is correct, the fact that they have done this so quickly and without complaint is very much to their credit (and Phil's). They are clearly a group to be trusted.

I recognise I am not entirely without fault here (although I should not have been allowed to register) and will be donating £100 of my returned deposits to the Gamcare charity.

Hey Valhalla,

I'm really sorry to hear about the problems that you have encountered.
I've just had a quick check and it seems fine for me so I will get the tech guys to check the logs to see if we can pinpoint why this is happening ASAP.

Apologies once again for the hassle. In the meantime I have credited your account with a small bonus for the inconvenience, so you can enjoy some free games on the house.
Just don't try Immortal Romance for now :(

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Phil.

It's nothing new for MG games on the modern-day browser based casinos mate. It is really annoying though :/
Hopefully it was just a brief gremlin in the system :)

I would just like to say that betspin have refunded all my deposits due to me having an active self exclusion at Guts.

I'm not really sure how I feel about this, I just feel numb. It feels like "dirty money".

I signed up using the same username, email, password and all other details that match my Guts account. But more importantly, I had no idea these casinos were connected. The reason I joined was simply because of this thread. I have self exclusions that did not expire for another few months and was looking for a new "home".

I have a lot of respect for how they have handled this and I just hope it doesn't reflect negatively upon me as a member here. At no point did I ever ask for any money to be refunded. I became aware that this casino was connected to Guts were I was self excluded and I brought this to their attention.

I think this also raises the issue of differentiating between self exclusion and closing accounts, and identifying the difference. If I have a cold run on a casino, I will go on to chat and request the closure of the account, but I make it clear that its not because of a gambling issue, its a personal choice as I dont want to be emailed with offers etc to get me back, I want to take a break for a while. If I then open an account at a related casino, I take my chance and if I lose, I lose, if I win I win, but now, although its never been an issue in the past, I am a bit concerned that if I do win in future at a related casino I could have any winnings taken away. I think there needs to be a clear distinction between the reasons people chose to close accounts.

I've PM'd Phil to clarify this.

Upon reading the last 2 pages I thought I better point out that I closed my Guts account. But I'm CERTAIN I didn't self-exclude (I just had enough/went elsewhere and closed my Guts account).
I'm sure an account closure is not a self-exclusion. I could stop visiting my local bakery; doesn't mean I've given up bread. It just means the next bakery down the road has a better deal :D

My understanding is that different casinos have different policies regarding self exclusion.

I had done a mass self exclusion a while back and in some cases I was simply able to reverse this to a 7 day "cooling off" period.

However, as I requested a specific time frame for my account to be closed, many casinos treat this as a formal self exclusion regardless of the terminology I used.

Jory - I don't recall specifying a time, I just remember asking for my account to be closed. I went on a long run of losing so got fed up and went elsewhere.
Truth be told I could probably have went and reopened my account a week later. It was ages ago though so I can't remember the exact details.

I guess that must have been the reason then since you just had asked to get the account closed.

In a way they are correct though but in another way not, and how are we suppose to know?

I know that for now I will never close an account again, just unsubscribe and that will do it for me at least.

I hope you're welcome back at both places when you've served your time :D

It can depend on when an account was closed.

I also closed my account at Guts and have been depositing (and made a small withdrawal) at Betspin.
But, apparently, since I closed my account at Guts some time ago, when they were operating under a different license, it doesn't count against me at Betspin. So my account there is ok.

Just out of curiosity - what all is involved in adding new games? I'm assuming it's not just as simple as "turning them on" or I'm sure they would've been added by now.
Is there like a boardroom meeting where new additions are suggested, and "the ayes have it!", or is it a complex job where the entire website has to be moved around/re-designed on some level? Or something else?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to put pressure on BetSpin to hurry up and add these new games. I'm just curious what it actually involves :)

Hey Valhalla,

Its a really straight forward process putting them live to be honest. I could actually get them live for you within 5-10 minutes.
The bottleneck is just waiting for the designs from the designer and the copy from the copywriter, so it looks nice and tidy. :)

Good things come to those who wait

Cheers,
Phil.

Don't worry mate, I'm waiting patiently :D
I just like to know the ins and outs of these things :)

I just realised I can still give you the URLs and you can play the games directly through them, until we have time to add them to the lobby.
So if there are any more games you guys want to play and they are from NetEnt, MGS or NYX just let me know and I can send you the URL pretty quickly.

Thanks,
Phil.

The Microgaming games were absolutely trash (I'll give them time lol). £150 deposit went down to £60 in minutes
Then viking's Treasure stepped in to bail me out (as it does so many times), with a quick free spins trigger, and retrigger, to get me basically back up to the starting balance.

Viking's Treasure is such an underrated game. Never see it mentioned on Casinomeister. Off to Excalibur now

EDIT: Excalibur isn't loading Phil. The link says ttps instead of https

Have fun mate and remember if you feel you need a bonus you know who to ask.

Well... if it's not too late to add a bonus to my current balance you could go ahead? I'm just going to sit and faff around on these new games for now anyway.
A wee bit extra might be needed seeing as the MG games are deadly :p

Yes I really am willing to accept a bonus. Do not adjust your sets.

Phil could you edit Excalibur in the original post? I add the "h" to the link after I click on it (and in this quote), but I'm sure others would appreciate it loading right away :)

Ah yes, well spotted.
I've edited the post now so it should just link straight through now.

Thanks.
Phil.

Joined up
tried to deposit but after entering my card info and amount it went to next screen and said "transaction requested" and just hanged there for minutes doing nothing.
Talked to Linette on help and she said she chatted with tech guys but we ended up getting nowhere and she said she would email me when they sorted it out!
:(

I actually had the problem also.. I had to do my deposits on the mobile version... I use Internet Explorer and have issues... But in chrome it seems to work but I get nasty pop oops with chrome.. Don't know how to stop that since I never use it... So I haven't been going back.. Even though I really liked the site and games..

I' am a Betspinner

Betsipin has been on my to do list for a while now. Early on, I had such a prompt reply from Phil to a pm, and I really like that they have a SUB tailored for Canadians, acknowledging that we can't play all games offered.

Signup was simple, although I too had a problem with my phone number field not having enough space for all my digits.

Matter quickly resolved with support. Deposit made, bonus instrant. No issues with game play (well, maybe one, but that's acceptable, and was immediately re-available.).

Nice surprise next day when I went to play my Cosmic Fortune free spins, they were at a nickle coin size. The downside is that minimum bet is 75cent in real, I wish I could play the progressive for less (2 cents would be fine, hint hint).

I think how responsive they were to Valhallah's game wish list was extremely impressive, and I did have some spins on Ladies Night without issues.

I very much like that he extended the offer to all of us, Phil seems to be extremely player focused. I dealt with two different chat reps, and was very pleased with the support. Managed to not make me feel like an idiot when I couldn't find something staring me right in the face. Takes a while to learn to navigate a new site. Now that I know where to find it, very easy to check wagering.

Unfortunately no experience with the cashout procedure, but I will be back to play again, so maybe next time.

Pleased that I finally joined.

Congrats muziq. A very nice win indeed. I'm glad your luck eventually turned around. Well done!
Also thanks for the info. I've sent you a PM for some more details to help me pinpoint the problem.

Thanks and congrats again. :)

Hello, can i register and get the welcome bonus from Germany?

Hey NohchiPlayer,

I am afraid that we are unable to accept registrations from Germany at present, mainly due to the fact that the current legal situation in Germany is a bit unclear at the moment.
If the situation changes in the future I will of course let you know.

Thanks,
Phil.

Hi there.

This site seems promising, and Jasmine confirms a great place to play for Canadians.
Having a slight blip in the signup process, and I am looking everywhere for a live chat, phone number etc to contact you and correct this prior to playing.
I am either blind, or no such service is yet available.
It will only let me include 6 digits in my telephone number, and Canadian #'s have 7 digits. Probably a minor detail, but just today I read of another casino voiding a new customer's cashout for not including exact correct details upon signup. Do I need to be concerned and wait for an email reply today or tomorrow to fix this, or am I good to go ahead and play? I posted here rather than wait for an email response, since you seem to be actively reading this thread right now.
