I was just thinking about Australian online casino lovers and how we are so limited to only a few casinos and few options in banking methods.

I thought I might start a thread if that's ok where we can share our experiences, questions and ideas.

I have noticed that we have a lot of Aussies confused as to where we can play, how we can deposit and how we can withdraw.

I myself have found Bitcoin is a great option so far for depositing and withdrawing.

I also want to find out about Enrtopay but I don't think they support AUD currency.

If anyone has good or bad experiences lets share :)

A big shout out of thanks to the lovely mina1929 who just helped me with a deposit transaction via bitcoin to my casino. I seriously think I'd still be there trying to work it all out if not for your help. I can now deposit easily enough the next step is to withdraw. Stay tuned mina1929.

Hi Mina Glad I found this thread-I was contemplating putting a new post up around this same topic bur I thought surely someone has already got the ball rolling by now!!

Yes, the restrictions and law changes for us straggling Aussie players is proving to be a real nuisance as we hesitantly log in each week, wondering if I will even still have an account and whether I have a deposit/withdraw function or if my favourite games will reject me as well.. Its a gamble lately just trying to get online to gamble!!

Whilst I recognise the need for regulations to be enforced and understand the need to manage addictions and problem gambling within the community, I fail to see how the Interactive Gambling Act actually really addresses the problems that they claim to be solving. Its unbelievable how out of touch this Govt is, focussing the changes on international casino groups, restricting my access to alternative online payment resources, limiting how I can use own accounts & bankcards, and deny adults Aussies the freedom of choice to enjoy a legal and acceptable gaming hobby at my discretion from a variety of different outlets that compete with the select few landbased options they deem appropriate. Even if I wasn’t or had no interest in being an online slot player these contradictory rules would grind my gears.

I think there has always been issues with the Aust Govt and Businesses that enjoy monopolies over a certain industry where it boils down to the $$, simple greed and abhorrence to a free market that makes them introduce stupid ideas and try enforce new legislation to prevent any possibiltity of competition, as if its causing an economic breakdown-they did it with Uber & Taxis, the GST on online shopping debate, even adding the friggen Netflix Tax ffs! Yes while I get it, it would be better if we could all spend that money within Aust, but lets be honest-do any of these threatened companies actually try and appeal to the market, do they adapt their offering to effectively compete with the outsiders and tempt us to perhaps stay with them. No! Foxtel is a good example of that-$200 a month for repeats & ads galire as opposed to $10-12 for streaming services-but do they try and match it or give us an alternative-Nup.

Thats my gripe with the casino monopoly here-James Packer basically has all of the land/air and sea based rights to a certain KM distance that even a cruise ship with casino/bingo etc is infringing on his turf sailing into the harbour that its no wonder we cant entice the tourists!

I googled a bit on the Interactive Gambling Act earlier last year and had another look just bow after reading aome posts about the EU and Uk etc and I just made myself more mad trying to read it in depth Lol. So many bans geared toward online slots and poker/bingo casinos as they apparently are the scourge of the industry when all they actually do is offer me a fun way to play games I cannot play at the 1 casino we have here, in the comfort of my own home At my own leisure and in my sweatpants Lol.

What gets up me the most is it that there isnt bearly as much emphasis on curbing the mobile Sportsbetting Tab Apps/Sites as nearly as heavy handed as slots took a hit-There are dozens of betting commercials aired every minute both on Foxtel and Free-to-Air these days but its illegal to promote and advertise other casinos?! Ok so take away the casinos and maybe we can just replace it with another destructive form of gambling that is considered fine by them meaning its easy, accessible and has many options for spending and recieving money at the click of a button, not unlike pokie machines. So whats the difference?!?

    Hi scarletmuse

    I totally agree :)

I am using bitcoin now to withdraw funds while I can still deposit via Mastercard but that will stop too :(

I used to spend more money at land based casinos, clubs or pubs than at online casinos. Also I do not want to drive to a club as there are so many idiots out there and not very safe for a woman on her own anymore. There are also people that have panic attacks, anxiety etc that can not leave their house and be around a lot of people.

Our government makes the most stupid decisions I have no idea where they get their ideas from lol

I am also angry for the fact that I work really hard for my money and I should be able to spend it the way I want, I pay a lot of tax and hardly get any of it back also I hardly drink and don't take drugs.
Drugs and alcohol are a major problem in Australia focus on that prime minister

I have just received an email from Neteller that I am no longer be able to deposit using Mastercard and to use other options, well I am not using Neteller anymore as we can't deposit with it anyway.

What casinos do you play at besides Video Slots? and are you using Visa to withdraw and deposit? I don't have a visa so that's why I have been using Mastercard but they will stop all credit cards soon as well, we are being controlled by the banks too

If you can't figure out how to tax it, ban it. It has nothing to do with protecting players - it's all about not getting a piece of the pie. No player has ever been protected by prohibiting them to play. They will find out one way or another to do it. It's like trying to dam a river - it will flow around the sides, or overflow and continue its journey.

I was wondering why some casinos (most of them) have decided to close all player's accounts (it refer tor both Australia and Netherlands accounts), few of them decided to no longer accept players from these countries sign up new accounts but allowed the players already registered on their sites to continue play while some other casinos (the fewest of them), simply disregarded the directives given and continually let the players from these countries sign up and play ?

[Some of them are licensed in the same countries (like Malta or Curacao) so this must not be what makes the difference on their stance of looking at things. -- Normally I would have expected that all casinos take the same stance ie just follow the orders]

Oh yes! Agree agree agree! You guys echo my thought exactly-Admittedly I got myself a tad fired up when writing my post I feared it wouldn’t make sense Lol!!

Well I am pretty much solely a VS girl nowadays-with VS and Rizk being my favoured sites until Rizk shut us out last year which was devastating actually I had like attained a great VIP level and enjoyed a great relationship with the team that I actually didn’t know how I would survive after being blocked out Lol so I transferred to House of Jack which I tried to stick it out at and continue playing at having trusted that they were a worthy replacement for Rizk but alas it has been the absolute worst place I have experienced all up and I avoid it nowadays!

yes-Im a mastercard-er as well so yep pretty lame..but knowing our luck no doubt visa will also soon get blocked out haha. I actually read somewhere too, dont quote me as I would of skimmed whatever article it was real quick outta annoyance but Im sure it said that Aust banks eventually wont even accept Deposits from offshore providers either which is truly an example of denying our freedom of control over our finiancial transactions.

Seems lately in our political landscape that the major discussions being raised in Parliament are actually just all fluff that hover around social issues without either solving or adressing those real and actual detrimental issues affecting us-for e.g-gay marriage equality dragged on for way too long, then it was back on boat people, before anothee non-issue debate about becoming a republic and whether to changw the date of Aus Day! Pfft.

As you say Mina-although we are gamblers it doesn’t mean we don’t pay taxes or contribute, nor do Drugs etc and when we live in a 1 casino town unlike other countries that have options and varieties it is hardly our fault that we have been tempted to use online casinos in the first place! And you are right, drug use and addiction is an example of a larger community problem we got going on but our lawmakers just decide to criminalise everything rather than encouraging reform and social change or legalising certain drugs for e.g! And in the mean time while they avoid acting on society’s needs they waste time punishing us Lol!

And also look at the only landbased casino choices we have-agreed whonwants to have to get a dressed up and spent a fortune on parking and having to walk through crowds of drunkards justbto have a little bit of a flutter!! Additionally-why would we want to when crown and packer recently got investigated and found to have tampered with the slots to lessen rtp, encourage problem gambling to line packers greedy pockets! Very deceptive and disgusting behaviour. Unbelievably I read in the paper a while ago that a study found comparatibely to Vegas and other international locations, Aus Casinos actually have the worst odds for players in the world which is simply nuts!!

Yes the deposit/withdrawl methods is a huge letdown, I almost feel more dodgy having to transfer prepay vouchers online to purchase the acceptable ones!

Yes it sure aint what it used to be, man i miss playing at 32red, particularly microgaming.
I still play at Videoslots but my RTP is about 10% in the last 6mths, so i am having a break from there, also max withdrawal there now is 2k. Not sure how longer we will be able to play there anyways.
i only really play at bitstarz which is pretty good, super fast withdrawals etc.
i would say by the end of this yr we wont be able to play anywhere, maybe a good thing, Australia bit of a nanny country these days, there is no real clear infomation from casinos i find why at videoslots can we still play Netent games but no Microgaming?

I used to play at 32Red also, I loved that casino along with Guts, Rizk, Betat, Slotty and more. :)

I totally love Video Slots had lots of luck there not all the time but the choices of games are so great

Australia used to be good, everything is so much more expensive now and our wages haven't changed much to catch up with costs.

    Has anyone played at AuSlots?

They have Pragmatic play, Quickspin, Betsoft and other providers, hundreds of games to choose from.

I don't like their bonuses as you can only withdraw 10 x deposit so if you deposit $50 only $500 max is allowed.

They have a lot of payment and Withdraw method one being Bitcoin.

    mina,
I wouldnt even bother anymore, i have been playing online for many years and i just closed my last account! Videoslots was my last that i held onto but many providers have left now
and maybe its a good thing, i loved getting home from work having a few beers and playing online but it just aint the same anymore. Load of shit i know its a free country and you
should be able to do what you want with your own money seeing as Tab, Sportsbet, lotto etc ads are on Tv, radio every 5 seconds.
Maybe in the future it will change but i rekon its just to risky now.

    Unfortunately - Yes.

Their game selection is OK'ish, although there is little there that SlotsMillion/VS don't also have.

What annoys me though is once again I have been caught out by the magic AUD $ currency trick. Because once again, there is nothing on their website that I can see that makes it clear that my AUD deposits are not actually AUD deposits at all, even though I will be playing in AUD. If it did, I probably would not have deposited, or I would have been aware of potential charges relating to my deposits and there would have been no case to answer.

    SO...in a nutshell.....

I deposit in AUD using my NAB Debit card, play in AUD, and then - when the transactions are debited to my bank account, I find out that I haven't actually made a deposit in AUD after all. The deposits have been converted to another currency (which are actually higher than the amount I have deposited, although not by very much admittedly), and I have also been charged foreign currency fees.

AUSlots insist it is my bank applying these charges, and it has nothing to do with them as I was playing in AUD.

This is true - my bank IS the one applying these charges, but ONLY because my AUD deposit was never actually an AUD deposit after all. Instead, it was converted BY AUslots into a foreign currency ( I don't know which one) when it came to charging my account.

I am not very happy and doubt I will be playing at AUSlots again.

I now play exlusively at Slotsmillion, Casinomate, House of Jack and sometimes GoWild. I deposit by debit Mastercard (no fees) and withdraw to my bank account. Most I normally pay is a AUD $12 TT fee at my bank's end for receiiving the withdrawal. Usually money is in my account within 3 days.

Casinomate has really great promos and always pay me without any hasssles. They're fantastic.

I really miss DOA and the Microgaming 243 way slots but there are still some great high variance Pragmatic and Betsoft slots to choose from. Have won big on Stampede and Ancient Giants plus a few others.

Yes I also like House of Jack and Casinomate, also play at Slotsmillion but not as much.

Had a few withdrawals from Casinomate and House of Jack no problems at all.

My friend plays at Fairgo and they pretty good too but I think they charge a high fee to withdraw like bank transfer is $50 and Bitcoin is $30 :( min to withdraw is $100

Do any other Aussie players have recommendations? Emu Casino has a great range of games but I haven't tested their withdrawal process yet so my opinion is reserved.

Will give Fairgo a try as I'm missing RTG. I dont care about a $50 withdrawal fee for bank transfers provided I can withdraw $5k+ each time. It beats Inetbets 5%!

I'm on the verge of giving up totally.

Red Tiger has now been added to the list of gone-baby-gone providers, and even though I like Pragmatic and Betsoft, they are not my first choice for regular playing. I am also not very fond of RTG, so I really think that unless - and until - the situation changes, I am over and out.

BTW...you could try Loki - used to play there but didn't make a withdrawal (small deposits), but they seem pretty solid.
