That's the question - due to the fact that you are more than likely stuck at home, are you spending more or less now on online gambling?

Are you gambling more with a decreased bankroll? Or have you increased your bankroll and are betting more than usual? Whatever the answer is, why? Is it out of boredom? Are you using the money you'd be spending on gas at the casinos? Has the lockdown affected your gambling behaviour?

There seems to be a growing concern from the main stream media - and from the politicians that follow it - that people are throwing caution to the wind and blowing their savings out of being bored stuck at home. What say you?

I'm playing more through boredom and the deposits I've made have been from winnings, it still hurts to lose them, but it's not as bad in that sense. I haven't been increasing my bets on the slots, just reloading, but today will be my last deposit until next month. I've had a terrible run, but no matter what happens after today I'm off it until next month. You have to have to self control and that's hard at times with feck all to do.

Not really spending more time or money, no

Gambling patterns still the same, namely lose. Least they could have done is give us a clemency RTP raise

Coupled with the fact that gambling isn't all-encompassing and doesn't dominate every facet of my day

Blowing savings is reprehensible at best and those that choose that path are clearly reckless and hiding behind being housebound to excuse it. It's not like it's 1992 and we have no other lifestyle choices other than to gamble from home

And yes it'll be those that do the above that the papers will have a field-day with to sensationalize how gambling's inherently bad, and how it ought to be demonized further

To be fair I think we won't get a very surprising result here. If I look at myself the amount of gameplay hasn't changed much regarding slots. I did start to play poker though but that's because the tables are soft with more recreational players. Casino wise, not much of a change from my fingers.

Grinded bit poker as well and made pretty much same findings, it's just boring like hell to play tight so gave that up as well....

Like Goatie mentioned, there are quite many other things than gambling in internet these days where can spend some time if bored. Never been playing very long slot sessions either, getting bored to them as well quite fast, hard to imagine myself to play whole day or night.

Hi Folks:

Never really gamble much online. Having a great time! Yes, me and many other Canadians are spending time online! I have been on 7 site so far … want to communicate my finding as I explore! I can't believe how far money goes as you can play for days with a small investment. Some nice wins, and no problem getting my cashback and making they payout that 30xor 40x bonus money! LUCKY when that happens! It has happened twice so far!

As this is about the current situation, I've put the same. It's less than it was 2/3 months ago but thats because I've just moved house, had to pay for the move, carpets, all that type of thing, also took the opportunity to buy new beds, TV, bedroom furniture, stuff like that, got a garden now, so lawnmower and stuff, still got stuff to buy too, but nothing i 'need', want a BBQ and pizza oven for example lol, so thats bit into my 'spare cash'. It is about the same as what I would be gambling even if we weren't locked down though.

Same...

Partly cos it's had no effect on the Golden Hour time which is post 5pm working anyhow.

Have been spending more time on personal laptop though, mainly to sort out my files and photography which, not surprisingly, is more rewarding that spunking a 100 deposit in half an hour.

Gambling, like drinking during the day, is bad for you (except for Ternur)

Mine is a little higher than usual. I do not have a set budget so if I have the cash and fancy a spin I do.

I had a few little hits that kept me in play but this lockdown has made me spend a bit more time than usual spinning.

Plus the fact my inbox has been spammed with the "gamble responsibly" rubbish, just an excuse for them to send emails I think

Spending mostly the same as always have. Also gambling in pretty much the same way, i.e. within the bankroll. A deposit made is a deposit lost. Sometimes the ride is faster and sometimes it's slower. But the ride itself is the same everytime.

If someone is spending more on gambling or even blowing their savings out of boredom, it has little to do with lockdown and being home. It's a behavioral trait which could be triggered anyway.

There are better ways to enjoy your time in lockdown. Like day drinking and headbanging. And no Pinnit, it's not bad for you, it's a way to refresh your soul.

Naysayers to this fact are just bitter people who don't know any better. Or are in denial.

Pfft....you're only spending the cash that Casino Jefe are sponsoring you with :p

Will be a good stream - may get the camera pointed at floor level to capture your position post 15 beer: otherwise we'll just be looking at an empty seat (only Playford will be happy with this though - that's his dream:p)
