since I know myself, it's from day 1 of the lockdown I was sure I was going to play much more.
So, I imposed myself to reduce a lot the usual betting stakes, and after all these weeks I can say I have been very disciplined. My playtime has been more than tripled, but my deposits had a little increase only 10/15% more.

So far this month, LESS.

In a normal month, I would probably gamble on around 10 days per month.
So far this month, I have only gambled on one day.
The main reason being my uncertain employment situation.

I basically went from having two jobs (both casual AKA zero hours contracts with employers A and B) to having no job (ALL my stocktaking work - FOUR MONTHS worth - was cancelled until further notice) to having one job (employer B was contacted by Tesco looking for temporary store support staff).
All of this happened in the space of three days, during the week that started with De Pfeffel's announcement of the lockdown measures.

As things stand, I have been doing night shifts as a stock replenisher for Tesco for the past five weeks.

Or as Tesco would put it, I am helping to feed the nation.
Then again, given the ridiculous panic buying of bog roll at the start of all this madness,
I could also say I was definitely NOT helping to keep the collective arses of the nation clean.....oops.

Which reminds me, did anyone see this?

Bravo, Mr. Drake. Bravo.

Anyhow, I have to say that this work I am currently doing is a godsend, albeit a temporary one.
Given the unprecedented battering the retail sector has taken this past two months, combined with the lockdown measures that are currently in place, it is very likely that I may not resume my stocktaking work until August at the earliest. In a worst case scenario, it might not even resume until 2021.
That is where the real uncertainty with my employment situation lies.

I did get some other good news though. Earlier this week, "Employer A" informed me that, despite being a casual worker, I am eligible for a furlough payment. It won't be much, but every little helps (pardon the pun).

So given all of the above, I fully expect my overall spend on gambling to continue to decrease until I have greater long-term certainty with my employment situation. The only way my gambling spend would increase is if I win more. And that then makes it more a case of "re-cycling winnings" than "depositing new money".

As for trying to fill the gambling void, well thankfully that has actually been quite easy.
Not sure why I did it, but I have been recently taken a trip down video gaming memory lane.
I downloaded emulators of the Amstrad CPC6128 and SNES and I also visit a website where I can play Atari 2600 games.
And I even dusted off my Nintendo 64 which had been gathering dust in my attic for over a decade.
I have been "re-learning" Mortal Kombat Trilogy (I have to say that my video gaming reflexes have somewhat regressed  - I must be getting old  ).
But I can still perform Fatalities and Friendships, so I'm not completely rubbish. #humblebrag

But I do have something to complain about.
Those ghosts on Ms. Pacman, when the actual f*ck did they start taking PEDs!?!?
What a f*cking liberty!

Oh. And I have been watching some videos from The Bandit's YT Channel, both old and new.
That has served a very useful purpose too.
So for now at least, I have got all my angles (anti-boredom, anti-skintdom, pro-activity, pro-RG) covered. *
But things could change and at short notice, so I'm taking nothing for granted.

* You just know that Kroffe will quickly post a gif that clearly demonstrates that I have not got ANY of my angles covered. I'll wait until he does post it before I call him a funny bastid though.

Oh look. I seem to have done another one of my VWM-esque long-assed posts.
I do apologise.

Well actually, no I don't. You know what I'm like. You should be used to it by now.
Anyway, I'm off for two days now. Time for some slots and some :drink: . Slainte!

I'm not playing as much. Because I lost more than half of the casino's I played and won at. They were all great casino's, but after new management took over they slid right down to the bottom. So I went from 10 to 12 casino's that I considered cool. To 5 that I still have a hard time with from time to time. we folk's here in the states. We don't have any real legal recourse with the rogues. Except the help we get from The Meister!

At the start of the lockdown I gambled a lot more. More than I have for years due to utter boredom.
luckily way Up in profit.
knowing how online slots work I’ve not had a deposit since about the beginning of last week, they will take back past profits and not wanting that to happen until I’m happily back on the rigs providing oil and gas for you good people.

Not to sure really, probably about the same, i had a daft moment few month ago, signed up to new casino drunk and blasted a grand, won 700 back and and still blew it, but apart from that these days quite sensible with my deposit limits, do like a weekend session every other week ,but normally just 100 quid between 2 sites every week and 100 month on another, sometimes change for slightly bigger gamble but not much.

deposit limits are a massive key booze and gambling can course chaos as if found out over the years, chasing pink balls on lady luck for example, thousand down, quite a few year ago like.

To be fair ive had loads of good sessions of 50 quid, obvisouly can sometimes dissapear stright away, but ive had some good ones, cashed out 800 on sky last night of 50 mainly on book of ra and magic mirror , and some how withdrew 400 from 32 red from just 25, nice little run for sure.

Have 3 accounts back up now, VS for having most games from each provider, Bet365 for sports betting and PnG and Voodoodreams just as one to try. Have a limit of £100 a week on each but been hitting the limits each week so playing a good bit more. Not doing too badly with balances.

Just to add, working from home contracting so can do work over the weekend etc as well, just project work and lots of it. Still giving me plenty time to gamble more not being on site. As someone else has said, limits are absolutely critical in keeping you on the straight and narrow.

I'm probably spending more or less the same despite having more spare time than usual on my hands. Much less this past week because I have been relying on playing with what I have sat in casino accounts because my card had to be blocked due to an attempted fraud last week.
In these uncertain times I think it is madness for folk to waste too much money on unnecessary things. Inflation is going to hit the roof before too long and it is not yet certain if there will be a shortage of supplies. With two daughters struggling now financially I would rather be sure that I have the funds available should they need it too.
I'm even drinking far far less that I did when I was busy working. I viewed having a few drinks after work as being a reward

Iam spending less because I don't want to be short if things get worse. Been lucky to have a couple of withdrawals but use the winnings to stock up on food. NOT ASS WHIPS. LMFAO
ass whips, huh?

I have definitely deposited and played less than I usually would. Homeschooling kinda sucks the energy so having early nights now, where as pre-lockdown I would have gambled on an evening whilst she slept, now i'm sleeping too!

Pretty similar here too.
Household is far busier during the daytime with the kids and hubby at home.
Also, like Melody, tending to go to bed earlier than ‘normal life’
It’s given a realisation that the times of ‘boredom’ during ‘non lock down’ life needs addressing in more productive ways for sure.

I'm playing less frequently as now I'm a full time teacher as well as having to work a full week!

I do like to play a lot though so I've reduced my average stake as we're in uncertain times. I used to play £1 to £2 mostly. I'm now playing 10p to 50p. It allows me to play for the hours I want without losing enough to stop me playing.

It's keeping me sane. Just!

Finnish monopoly in gambling Veikkaus will reduce players monthly loss limits from current 2000€ to 500€ from 1st of May until 30th of September from it's "fast paced games" like bingos, scratch cards, virtual sports betting, slots etc...

And of course is worried that illegal foreign companies who are aggressively promoting their products for Finns with different welcome and other offers which Veikkaus itself don't allow to be used to lure new players in. And also hoping that Finnish affiliates (especially famous people) wouldn't promote these illegal activities to Finns as problem gambling cause huge problems for many.

More! I usually don't do casino games but with no footy I've been dabbling a fair bit. Once sports return I will reduce time and money spent significantly. With sports you don't spend so much time, a bit of analysis and away you go. Casino takes up way more time/sessions/budget but can be more exciting/fun!
