Just curious if there are some health nuts on here or well do anything healthy at all.

Whether it be growing your own vegetables or going for a run or the gym or anything. Maybe bike rides? Long walks? Hiking? Walking your dog?

I have always been fairly healthy. Working out, boxing, running, roller blading. But ever since I started streaming casino, it has really kept me doing from doing much. I would get busy and instead of cooking I would eat a slice of pizza or some chips.

And now out of nowhere I have gained 50 pounds of what isnt muscle. And it all happened when I went to put on a pair of my pants I wore just 7 months ago and they no longer fit. I was like wtf is going on here!!

So now I am back in health mode. And one thing I found I really enjoy is juicing. You get a bunch of fruits and plant roots and throw them in a juicer and make yourself one hell of a drink per day.

Heres what I mix in my drink

Kale
Spinach
lemon
ginger root
romaine lettuce
celery

So just curious if anyone on here does anything or has any hobbies.

Looks like one of the graphics from So Many Monsters.
I take the odd bike ride, every day when it's warmer. Go out metal detecting some weekends, all that walking and digging and fresh air lol...
I have never found the Gold 'D' though. :D

I am not so fit and healthy as I once was, knackered knees due to 13 years running in Army boots (ran the Berlin and London marathon in them too :eek2:) and being a competitive skier, jeez I am starting to feel my age now.

I now walk my hounds three times per day, use my cross trainer each night, stopped smoking and pig out on raw carrots - what a life :D

mountain bike 2/3 times per week (about 100/140 km per week depending on the season)
sane food from my parents' garden (vegetables) and from selected suppliers (meat/fish)
good wine in moderate quantity
no smoking at all (I did quit 15 years ago)
also, I think that smiling and laughing is one of the most healty activities ever.

Seems like some cool hobbies. The metal detecting would be fun but I always figured people would get pissy over that. I go bike riding the odd time when its nice out too

I am in my early 30's and how out of shape I feel, I think this is how a 58 year old feels. Hence the changes and urge to have healthy sewer drink. I will say this drink looks gross but it taste fine because of the lemon and ginger takes away that green taste

Yes we have a vegetable garden too. Not much better out there to be honest. I do plan on buying our meat directly from a farm, I just have to do some looking around who has a good reputation and fair prices.

I think if I wasnt into roller blading so much I would bike more. And yes I know when people picture roller blading they picture tight white thigh high short, a head band and curly hair. But I assure it isnt that :D

I'm more or less "healthier" in the spring/summer time with hard-core gardening/landscaping and mountain biking. In the winter, I puss out and stay indoors with the occasional run. If it's snowy, I'm outside - but if it's German drizzle Scheisswetter - then you know where to find me. Chillin' indoors.

I eat very little processed food, lots of veggies, some meat - lots of fish. All of my beer is locally brewed. I'm about 6 kilos over my Army weight - 8 kilos over in winter. :p

I wish I could get out and do more metal detecting like Dunover - I have a detector, but need to get outside and start checking out some wooded areas near my place. It's the weather that is off-putting in the winter.

I'm an avid gardener who has an allotment as well as make full use of the garden. I never use chemicals so all of the fruit and veg are natural and I still have enough frozen and preserved fruit and veg to last until at least the end of Autumn. I am a fat lover though and I love the odd fry up.
Until I found I had a heart condition which I had since birth I went to the gym very regularly as well as playing squash and swimming. It has taken me a long time to get back to full fitness after the first failed keyhole surgery for my heart condition then the successful one but I believe that my general healthy living made me survive very many critical heart reboots once the condition kicked in.
Today there are so many fresh products available alongside available info about living a healthy life if only more people could be arsed to make the time and effort to take advantage of it.

I'm in a club and we get approved digs with permission. So far some old pennies, a foot off of a Roman bronze statue, old buckles and bullets (England must have more lead in its soil than anywhere on earth!) Every dig we have, some bastard finds a medieval hammered silver coin, never had one yet. One spawny git found a small Celtic Bronze age gold coin circa 400BC. It's great exercise, walk-dig-walk for hours. I was up to my ankles in mud Sunday and didn't even find a coin in 5 hours. I have a Garrett 400i which does get down really deep, I've had stuff 18 inches down before. Dig before last a bloke near me found......

....a bloody Nokia 8010 'Mars Bar' phone!

I have a friend who bought a very powerful detector from the internet which has now became illegal and he has found some very lucrative coins and artefacts while scouring land that he is not meant to be on. He and his mate spend time very carefully working out places to target and he sells the stuff on very quickly.

A night-hawk, committing theft. Very clever. Idiots like that are responsible for looting stuff which often ends up abroad when it could be of national importance. There's no need to do it either, as with permission you'd keep 50% of the value of anything valuable, splitting it with the landowner, whether it's deemed to be treasure or returned to you for sale. Basically they are criminals, same as muggers, burglars or shoplifters.

packed on several lbs this winter because iof so little walking (it's damned cold here) but walk dozens of km in the warm weather (the nearest store is about 20km away) and I walk the dogs 4x a day on long walks.
it mostly sheds off come spring but it's getting harder as I'm older and more broken

still a vegetarian (about 25 years) and I don't have a sweet tooth so that helps

got a couple Eskrima sticks to practise in the yard this spring to stay limber

I agree. He has been doing it for years.

Yeah - you'll have to fill me in on some tips and tricks. There are some possibly interesting areas where I live. I have my son's detector - it's alright but nothing outstanding.

If you add some cucumber to that recipe you get electrolytes and it becomes an energy drink ;)

Oh mate, don't get me started, I'd bore the crap out of you. :)

But in a brief summary, I probably walk twenty miles a day (since my bike packed up), take numerous natural supplements (zeolite, MSM, vit C, vit D, vit B12) probiotics (home made), drink coffee, no tea, eat plenty of animal proteins, get my daily dose of saturated fat, cholesterol, sea salt and all that good stuff.

I sleep upon a grounded bedsheet, and whenever I am sitting down, I have a grounding strap around my ankle. I rub magnesium oil on my body whenever I have eaten carbs, and I produce my own colloidal silver to keep viruses at bay.

I grow fruit and veg in the summer, and the apricot kernels are one of the best preventatives of cancer (vit B17).

I grow my own cannabis, tobacco and opium.

I haven't seriously watched tv since 1995, and for the last fifteen years not at all.

On the minus side, I drink way too much beer and sometimes tend to burn the candle at both ends, like now, for example, I'm not sure when I was last in bed, but I think it was yesterday morning. :)

Don't dig up anything the RAF left behind....:D

You really should try to do something healthy,
8 years ago I spent far too much time online gambling and ended up having a heart attack.
Hopefully I learnt the lesson and spend a lot of time walking the dog rather than endless hours of gambling.

I'm also not quite the same person in the winter and summer and differences here in Serbia (although some people mix it with freezing Siberia) are big - from sometimes 40 celsius summer, through short autumn (or symbolic spring, the opposite way) to sometimes -5 and more in the winter. I don't like winter and cold and this one I feel so lucky as it's warmer and even sunny some days!
It's pretty easy to stay in a good shape in the summer - running in the park, swimming, cycling, walking, eating fruits and vegetables! I didn't let all these holidays affect me too much this season, so I'm back to my dance classes since September. Don't like gym so I had to find a way to exercise and enjoy at the same time! We dance reggaeton, dancehall, afro beats, rnb, safari etc. Really cool! And I feel so happy, light and refreshed after each class :)

My recommendation is to find some music you love and dance at least 5-10 minutes every day, even while cooking, vacuuming, standing in front of the mirror or whatever. That's a good way to keep your flexibility, energy up, good mood and all muscles warmed up. Rhythm is something we all have inborn :)
