Just curious if there are some health nuts on here or well do anything healthy at all.

Whether it be growing your own vegetables or going for a run or the gym or anything. Maybe bike rides? Long walks? Hiking? Walking your dog?

I have always been fairly healthy. Working out, boxing, running, roller blading. But ever since I started streaming casino, it has really kept me doing from doing much. I would get busy and instead of cooking I would eat a slice of pizza or some chips.

And now out of nowhere I have gained 50 pounds of what isnt muscle. And it all happened when I went to put on a pair of my pants I wore just 7 months ago and they no longer fit. I was like wtf is going on here!!

So now I am back in health mode. And one thing I found I really enjoy is juicing. You get a bunch of fruits and plant roots and throw them in a juicer and make yourself one hell of a drink per day.

Heres what I mix in my drink

Kale
Spinach
lemon
ginger root
romaine lettuce
celery

So just curious if anyone on here does anything or has any hobbies.

Looks like one of the graphics from So Many Monsters.
I take the odd bike ride, every day when it's warmer. Go out metal detecting some weekends, all that walking and digging and fresh air lol...
I have never found the Gold 'D' though. :D

I am not so fit and healthy as I once was, knackered knees due to 13 years running in Army boots (ran the Berlin and London marathon in them too :eek2:) and being a competitive skier, jeez I am starting to feel my age now.

I now walk my hounds three times per day, use my cross trainer each night, stopped smoking and pig out on raw carrots - what a life :D

mountain bike 2/3 times per week (about 100/140 km per week depending on the season)
sane food from my parents' garden (vegetables) and from selected suppliers (meat/fish)
good wine in moderate quantity
no smoking at all (I did quit 15 years ago)
also, I think that smiling and laughing is one of the most healty activities ever.

Seems like some cool hobbies. The metal detecting would be fun but I always figured people would get pissy over that. I go bike riding the odd time when its nice out too

I am in my early 30's and how out of shape I feel, I think this is how a 58 year old feels. Hence the changes and urge to have healthy sewer drink. I will say this drink looks gross but it taste fine because of the lemon and ginger takes away that green taste

Yes we have a vegetable garden too. Not much better out there to be honest. I do plan on buying our meat directly from a farm, I just have to do some looking around who has a good reputation and fair prices.

I think if I wasnt into roller blading so much I would bike more. And yes I know when people picture roller blading they picture tight white thigh high short, a head band and curly hair. But I assure it isnt that :D

I'm more or less "healthier" in the spring/summer time with hard-core gardening/landscaping and mountain biking. In the winter, I puss out and stay indoors with the occasional run. If it's snowy, I'm outside - but if it's German drizzle Scheisswetter - then you know where to find me. Chillin' indoors.

I eat very little processed food, lots of veggies, some meat - lots of fish. All of my beer is locally brewed. I'm about 6 kilos over my Army weight - 8 kilos over in winter. :p

I wish I could get out and do more metal detecting like Dunover - I have a detector, but need to get outside and start checking out some wooded areas near my place. It's the weather that is off-putting in the winter.

I'm an avid gardener who has an allotment as well as make full use of the garden. I never use chemicals so all of the fruit and veg are natural and I still have enough frozen and preserved fruit and veg to last until at least the end of Autumn. I am a fat lover though and I love the odd fry up.
Until I found I had a heart condition which I had since birth I went to the gym very regularly as well as playing squash and swimming. It has taken me a long time to get back to full fitness after the first failed keyhole surgery for my heart condition then the successful one but I believe that my general healthy living made me survive very many critical heart reboots once the condition kicked in.
Today there are so many fresh products available alongside available info about living a healthy life if only more people could be arsed to make the time and effort to take advantage of it.

I'm in a club and we get approved digs with permission. So far some old pennies, a foot off of a Roman bronze statue, old buckles and bullets (England must have more lead in its soil than anywhere on earth!) Every dig we have, some bastard finds a medieval hammered silver coin, never had one yet. One spawny git found a small Celtic Bronze age gold coin circa 400BC. It's great exercise, walk-dig-walk for hours. I was up to my ankles in mud Sunday and didn't even find a coin in 5 hours. I have a Garrett 400i which does get down really deep, I've had stuff 18 inches down before. Dig before last a bloke near me found......

....a bloody Nokia 8010 'Mars Bar' phone!

I have a friend who bought a very powerful detector from the internet which has now became illegal and he has found some very lucrative coins and artefacts while scouring land that he is not meant to be on. He and his mate spend time very carefully working out places to target and he sells the stuff on very quickly.

A night-hawk, committing theft. Very clever. Idiots like that are responsible for looting stuff which often ends up abroad when it could be of national importance. There's no need to do it either, as with permission you'd keep 50% of the value of anything valuable, splitting it with the landowner, whether it's deemed to be treasure or returned to you for sale. Basically they are criminals, same as muggers, burglars or shoplifters.

packed on several lbs this winter because iof so little walking (it's damned cold here) but walk dozens of km in the warm weather (the nearest store is about 20km away) and I walk the dogs 4x a day on long walks.
it mostly sheds off come spring but it's getting harder as I'm older and more broken

still a vegetarian (about 25 years) and I don't have a sweet tooth so that helps

got a couple Eskrima sticks to practise in the yard this spring to stay limber

Yeah - you'll have to fill me in on some tips and tricks. There are some possibly interesting areas where I live. I have my son's detector - it's alright but nothing outstanding.

If you add some cucumber to that recipe you get electrolytes and it becomes an energy drink ;)

Oh mate, don't get me started, I'd bore the crap out of you. :)

But in a brief summary, I probably walk twenty miles a day (since my bike packed up), take numerous natural supplements (zeolite, MSM, vit C, vit D, vit B12) probiotics (home made), drink coffee, no tea, eat plenty of animal proteins, get my daily dose of saturated fat, cholesterol, sea salt and all that good stuff.

I sleep upon a grounded bedsheet, and whenever I am sitting down, I have a grounding strap around my ankle. I rub magnesium oil on my body whenever I have eaten carbs, and I produce my own colloidal silver to keep viruses at bay.

I grow fruit and veg in the summer, and the apricot kernels are one of the best preventatives of cancer (vit B17).

I grow my own cannabis, tobacco and opium.

I haven't seriously watched tv since 1995, and for the last fifteen years not at all.

On the minus side, I drink way too much beer and sometimes tend to burn the candle at both ends, like now, for example, I'm not sure when I was last in bed, but I think it was yesterday morning. :)

Don't dig up anything the RAF left behind....:D

I'm also not quite the same person in the winter and summer and differences here in Serbia (although some people mix it with freezing Siberia) are big - from sometimes 40 celsius summer, through short autumn (or symbolic spring, the opposite way) to sometimes -5 and more in the winter. I don't like winter and cold and this one I feel so lucky as it's warmer and even sunny some days!
It's pretty easy to stay in a good shape in the summer - running in the park, swimming, cycling, walking, eating fruits and vegetables! I didn't let all these holidays affect me too much this season, so I'm back to my dance classes since September. Don't like gym so I had to find a way to exercise and enjoy at the same time! We dance reggaeton, dancehall, afro beats, rnb, safari etc. Really cool! And I feel so happy, light and refreshed after each class :)

My recommendation is to find some music you love and dance at least 5-10 minutes every day, even while cooking, vacuuming, standing in front of the mirror or whatever. That's a good way to keep your flexibility, energy up, good mood and all muscles warmed up. Rhythm is something we all have inborn :)

YUK! There's only one thing in that mix that I would allow past my lips... and that's the lemon!

Since Jan 1 I have been going to the gym 3 or 4 times per week: at least 1 hour of cardiovascular work + a short swim.
This is a big step up from previously when I just played golf & swam about once per week.

However, very disappointed that I have only lost about 2Kg (4Lb) all month.. :(
Hate diets, so will carry on a bit longer and will hopefully see results soon...

KK

as of jul 2017 i have been off sugar.....i was a sugar addict....candies of every type.....now i can't stand the sight of them....and everything i eat that has some natural or unnatural sugar in them...tastes extremely sweet.

since i've stopped all sugar in my diet...even fruits....i have not felt any aches or pains like i used to. i am not old...but it was not normal to feel like my knees and joints hurt like that.

i feel more energetic as well...

I've become a complicit veggie due to my partner's new dietary lifestyle choices, but 'as and when' for when I feel like it. I still eat meat but will happily chow down on whatever's put in front of me (said the actress to bishop)

I also struggle with anything dairy- related as of the last couple of years. Which is funny because there is no discomfort just......I'm at that age where milk & co create all sorts of digestionary havoc

Sugar though, that's been near obliterated in my mid- 30s, it's about a quarter-spoon with hot drinks now and next to no chocolate. It's such a bad thing. We've also recently switched to Stevia which is indistinguishable from sugar, and about twice as sweet I swear!

I eat pretty healthy, but don't shake or go fruit/ veg crazy. It's something I'd be completely up for given a greater insight into it, compared to say 15 years ago when I would've scoffed at the very notion

Haven't smoked in 5 years but vape, which is infinitely superior anyway. I go to the gym a little but need to stop slacking, one of those resolutions that needs a bit of attention I think

One thing you should not do is obsess about what your losing. It takes time for that to adjust while your body transforms. It is also important to not do too much too soon otherwise your body could well run out of resistance to its transformation because your immunity can be effected.I learned that about 5 years ago after going back to the gym after years on relying on only my work keeping me fit.
If you have already once had the fitness bug then let it slide.Your body does react to rejoining it far easier than someone that has never really took to it before but it is really easy to get suckered into in more than your body can deal with.
With your weight it is best to consider the balance of weight loss with the conversion of fat to muscle as well as your increased fitness because over time it will all come good.
I hammered it after stopping smoking 5 years ago and went on a huge health kick where I was ignorant to over doing it because I was feeling so good. Then I was hit with the flu like I had never done for 30 years.
What your doing is so much more beneficial to you than just the 2kg that you have so far lost :)

Well I have good news for you because the scale doesnt matter. When you work out, you have to remember that you are building muscle and losing fat. Muscle weighs pretty much the same. Also, if possible mix some weights in there too. Doing both is huge.

Not sure what your diet is but egg whites, fish chicken and green leafy vegetables is very important. Lots of water.

80% is what you eat and 20% is your workout. Watch your calories.

Keep on going and you will see the results and also, you should be doing body measurements of your waste, upper chest, stomach and upper legs. That is where you will really see progress. Check it once a month.

Swimming is very good for your body because it targets muscles that dont get as much attention from regular weights.

And by the way, if you are serious about losing weight and dropping some inches, you are going have to cut out alot of beer :(

Everything is on youtube my friend. I am new to the juicing thing but I am absolutely addicted to it now. I just watched some videos and got some recipes and gave it a try. Ive been working out with trainers both boxing, kickboxing and weight lifting for just under 20 years and never thought about juicing. But I have always had shakes and still do. half cup yogurt, half cup cottage cheese, half cup of milk, half cup of frozen berries and blend it up and drink it.

The thing about juicing is people say the stock that get separated removes the fiber. True but I would never eat this amount of veges without juicing so there is no way its bad for you. Plus im sure I get fiber from the other healthy foods I eat through out the day

its actually become a hobby to me. Always looking up new videos and flavors

Fibre is best avoided Bill, it damages the gut flora, the juice is OK, but don't overdo it, if it is high in fructose.

That is an actual issue around here. Stray unexploded ordinance - but I'm away from the bombed areas by a few kilometers.

AS for weight loss, I went pescatarian about two years ago, and I dropped 2-3 kilos in the first month. It's amazing how much fat is in meat.

But I returned to meat a few months ago - still eat it but not that often, and usually wild game if anything. Those 2-3 kilos came back :p

I visit Belgrade a lot for work - lovely people there! Visit there every few months...
My problem is that i love cevepcici ;)

Just curious if there are some health nuts on here or well do anything healthy at all.

The healthiest thing I have done recently is quit playing BTG - I'm genuinely serious about that. Lounging around, wasting money and trying to get a singular hit to post on my YT channel was a complete waste of my time and money. I'm sure I played for close to a year and had exactly ZERO videos to post. Ignore the losses, but its TIME i'll never get back - what an epic waste.

Since November or December last year, I have stop playing as much as I used to primarily due to the latest addition to the family. A few of you probably wondered why I stopped positing videos - That's the reason - I cant seem to find the time anymore. Coupled with the fact that I have a full time job, run 2 or 3 domains and spend more and more time with the lil' guy, I would say that I have 90% LESS time to play. Some evenings I have an hour or 2 to spare - I pop onto the forum or rather watch TV than play. I have probably closed most of my accounts already as I don't want to get into the same routine - routine can be a bitch. The balances on my accounts now have no way of making their way to dunovers bulging pockets littered with gold 'D's' or goatwacks Goat Milk Farm. Money never was an issue with me - there's plenty lying around. But I can't buy TIME with it.

I smoke less (need to get back to vaping) and walk more (Never had a weight problem). I have even had a little time to take on the drag strip a bit (not the one goatwack frequents) and smoke some tyres instead of cigarettes. I bought a brand new pretty little Audi RS3 a few months back to traumatize the BMW M / AMG drivers a bit and RARELY use the car as I have others that I use for the daily commute to work and back. Spending some time juicing that up and racing is fun when I have the odd spare time at my disposal.

How has this all been healthy? In many ways. I have a very decent amount of bankroll building up and screaming to be played but I have opted to use the money elsewhere. I'm even in the process of looking at starting a little 'help the poor' thing as my heart has ALWAYS been there. I'm passionate about helping others - especially those less fortunate. Nothing replaces the look of gratitude on somebodies face when you do good - it lingers in my mind.

I have always been of the opinion that people will be remembered for the things they did for others and not for themselves. I won't take my M3 or
Porsche Cayenne to the grave but when you helped someone in a really bad place, they take that memory with them.

Lastly and most importantly its my TIME - I enjoyed a lot of things in the past, and now with the little time I do have, I aim to use it wisely instead of stare at a screen...

Healthy - For me? Absolutely!!!

Nate

I am 43 later on this year but with the mind of a chap still in their 20's, so more a case of healthy mind over healthy body! Saying that, I joined a Saturday league football team 3 years back (mid life crisis) purely to go to training sessions and improve fitness. It killed me! But, alas, things improved and now find myself one of the regular team players on match day. Strange really as I am old enough to be a dad to all the other lads in the team, but when I realised I could still out run them and still get the ball, I figured I may as well make more of a thing with it. I hold my hands up to not being fit for the full 90 minutes, but still give it a good try.

Food wise, well, I eat shit. I make sure there is always fresh fruit and veg in the house, but I like my chips, burgers, pizzas, Chinese food and Indian food too much to give it up. When the day comes where I get a 'dad' bod, I will probably change my ways, but as yet I am still proud to have a flat tum and be able to see below my waist without the aid of a mirror!

Ahh, you're one of them 'old gits' that we used to deride in training, whilst we were the young whippersnappers with all the skils

Used to do Sunday League myself, though being the cat-like goalkeeper with Seaman-esque handling  I used to hate training with a passion, too hard......

Those were the days

Yeah, those little whippersnappers with all the skills, yet as soon as one of us 'old gits' comes sliding in with a superb tackle, they go off crying coz they got hurt!

Good fun, although we are near the bottom of the league table!! I used to play in goal, but old hands and dodgy joints put an end to that - arthritis runs in my family. Luckily my knees are holding out for the meantime!

No comment on your Seaman handling ..........

Glad you picked up on it. Like I knew and trusted you would :thumbsup:

I remember one particular fateful match, on my birthday, whereby I conspired to get sent off not just for a bad foul but also inadvertently handling outside the box  There were about five minutes to go but I think we held out.....just

Never been red-carded before. To add to the ignominy I also had to lug the entire team's kit around in a heaving holdall & do the 'washing of the kits' for that month. So there I trudged off, disconsolately in the pissing rain through a muddy field.

Glorious times

Kale
Spinach
lemon
ginger root
romaine lettuce
celery

looks like this

So just curious if anyone on here does anything or has any hobbies.

You are right, playing casinos too often can have an impact on health and food choices you make. I haven't had the issue so much playing online, but have been less healthier when I go to the casino more often in the past.

Great job getting back to healthy. I haven't done juicing other than squeezing a grapefruit. Looks really healthy and a great way to get some good stuff in your body. I normally just try to get my healthy stuff by making sure I eat some fruits and vegetables everyday. I also have normally been healthy but at the holidays that hoes away, so I am also currently focusing on eating healthy and cardio. I normally like weight lifting, but am more cardio focused with running/jogging currently.

I visit Belgrade a lot for work - lovely people there! Visit there every few months...
My problem is that i love cevepcici ;)

Oh thanks, wonderful to hear :)
 everybody loves it, but don't worry - they are protein :D:cheers:

Rhythm is something we all have inborn :)

this is reminding me MAAANY years ago when I was used to visit my customers in Serbia - and YES winter can be really brutal there
As about cold winter, one of the few things I can say in your language is:

Zima, zima - e, pa šta je,
ako j' zima, nije lav!
Zima, zima - pa neka je,
ne boji se ko je zdrav!

:)

Lol, that is adorable! Do you know the translation?

The sequence is:

A sta moze zima meni (what can winter do to me)
Sta mi moze, sta mi sme (what it can and dares to)
Nek mi nosic pocrveni (let my little nose be red)
Eto to je, to je sve (so that's, that's all)

:D

How's it going @KasinoKing and everyone else? @LadyJelena still dancing in front of mirrors? :D @Casinomeister you still prancercising in the woods? @dunover you still bike riding and metal detecting? @geordiecolin still gardening? @Steviedoo are you still off sugar? I have been doing alot of research on how bad sugar is and you may as well be injecting yourself with poison when you eat it WutFace @goatwack did you increase your gym presence?

I stopped streaming for about 3 months and got back into boxing quite heavily. Been hitting the treadmill and weights. Im down 30 pounds which isnt very impressive for an entire year since this thread was created --- but its ok for me because I have been able to enjoy lots of things instead of going insane dieting. I will try and lose another 40 pounds this year. I still have my wardrobe in great shape from when I was 21 and I figure thats how much it will take me to lose to fit into it again.

I plan to do this year different than last and be incredibly healthy all year. Eating very clean and working out. Although I picked up coffee drinking somehow and will not give that up. I dont know how or why but I did and I feel like its an ok habit to have.

I am still drinking the sewer juice 3-5 times a week and love it. In the winter its damn expensive though since I cant grow it and it's not organic.

Most don't know, but I have a neurological condition called Dystonia. It's almost like MS, in the sense that you get severe muscle spasms, and go into "remission". I had been doing good through out the last 5 years or so, but the last 6 months it has come back with a vengeance, and has left me with mobility, memory and cognitive problems. I decided while I wait to see my neurologist, March 11th, to try a different approach outside my standard very, heavy duty medication. That was to see a chiropractor. I went yesterday for my first visit, and had Digital Thermography on my spine. Non invasive testing that uses your body heat to see where damage and pain is. Serious problems showed up, but I wasn't surprised. I have changed my diet back to where I was 20 years ago, and that is no processed foods, dairy etc. Getting my Dystonia treated in a safe way without medication.

I've moved back to my native North East after living away for 27 years so my allotment is far behind me now. At the moment I don't have the time or inclination to get an allotment here but I am sure I will do again. This time last year I was spending many hours preparing the soil for planting out. I'm pretty lucky as I still fit in to the same sizes I did 30 years ago so I have no need to diet.

What is sewer juice? Is it Kale based?
