just had an e-mail from all slots saying due to new regulations they will no longer be able to service u.k players, and recommending betway one of there trusted partners, any one know why?and has any one played at betway?.

I have received no emails yet from ANY of these Digimedia casinos. I am, however, making my decisions based on rumour, which yet AGAIN has delivered over a month's advance notice of the "sudden overnight closure" of UK players' accounts.

My last deposit into any Digimedia casino was the middle of July, since then it has been a case of waiting for the dust to settle.

We have an established pattern now for the UK pull out, players are NOT to be given advance notice, but told after the fact that they have been locked out, migrated, sold on without permission to a competitor, etc.

The UK player still has a month of uncertainty as there must be other casinos who have no intention of getting a UK licence, but like Digimedia, want to milk every last penny out of their UK players before booting them out the door.

The only emails I have had TODAY are encouraging me to claim my Monday to Wednesday deposit bonus at the Digimedia casino Royal Vegas, and to enter the "win a car" promotion that runs throughout September. Having heard the rumours though, I am not tempted.

I tested Royal Vegas earlier today, and it wasn't locked, but I expect it to be locked soon. (I only logged on, didn't deposit!)

You might want to have a read through the above thread Stevie.

For the record, it seems that I got the same e-mail myself a few hours ago. It looks like most of the Digimedia casinos, which includes the five Fortune Lounge casinos and the four Jackpot Factory casinos (of which All Slots was one), are all departing the UK market. I also think Redflush may be departing. However, 32Red Group will almost certainly stay and as far as I know, Casino Rewards Group is intending to stay too. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of rumours and no cold hard facts. All Slots is the first casino I know that has actually bothered to inform me of their intentions to leave the UK market. Hopefully, by the end of this month, the picture will be a whole lot clearer.

As for Betway, I cannot comment, as I have never opened an account there.

That report was considered "rumour", but it seems to have had all the facts, and LONG before the casinos themselves seemed to be aware. If this had all been decided in mid July, then players were INTENTIONALLY kept in the dark until the very last minute. The writer did have some "insider sources".

Such a large number of casinos COMPLETELY pulling out will leave many players stranded mid way through promotions and slot tournaments, and things could get ugly as a few of these tournaments require a considerable investment in rebuys and continues, and can last several days. The flagship Argyle Open tournament lasts through to October, so anyone from the UK who has invested in it at Digimedia may as well have thrown their money down the drain. These players in particular needed a decent notice period so that they didn't start what they couldn't finish.

They don't seem to be "migrating" players to Betway, but suggesting they open their own accounts. This means that there is nowhere to transfer balances, part completed promotions and tournaments, comp points, etc to.

Players should log in whilst they still can and convert any comps to cash and withdraw, or to bonus and play for a decent hit or zero. It's too late to advise players who have already begun to play a long term MPV as they won't be able to back out, nor will they be able to complete their play. Receiving any prize at the end also seems to be a big problem.

All mine have been logged into, comps cleaned out, and accounts zeroed.

Also received the standard e-mail from All Slots tonight. As a VIP player for over 5 years I expected some personal contact from my VIP manager to inform me. Alas, I will close my account later this week.

Casino Rewards... bah, biggest spammers on the planet and wouldn't ever use them again.

Not trying to rub it in. But I am also a VIP at All Slots and they emailed me on 24th June to inform me of the changes to UK regulation and that my account would be migrated to Betway. The Betway VIP manager contacted me and ensured a Betway account was opened for me, I now have both accounts are available to me until the UK regulation comes into force in the next month or two.

There was a thread the other day about a player not being able to convert points & there was alot of points (unsure if same group) , Also I would of thought betway would of took all this on board,
Seems like that you are 1 of a few to receive emails, I my self receive nothing, Glad you was able to sort your points our VWM, I wonder how many flod complaitns are going to be coming in?

This is very inconsistent. This proves they made the final decision on the 24th June, and even if they didn't email every UK player, there is no excuse for them not releasing this information to the player community in general so that those who want to know can find out what is going to happen.

Sadly for them, this secrecy has lost them thousands in deposits from me, as due to the uncertainty and lack of any information I acted on the rumour started by an article towards the end of July, and stopped playing at any casino that I knew, or had reason to suspect, was run by Digimedia.

Had they given a specific date, I would have known that it was safe to play right up till the day before, and probably would have made some deposits and entered promotions and tournaments scheduled to end before the closure date.
