I have been eagerly awaiting the 32 Red £50k World Cup Slots Tournament. This is a multi round slots tournament and was supposed to start 2 days ago. It was cancelled (apparently due to not enough players) and rescheduled to start today. It has now just been cancelled for a second time (despite having nearly a thousand entrants this time). With it running for two weeks I'm sure it would have gained a lot more. Was really looking forward to this and would be grateful if Mark at 32 Red would gives us a head up of the reasoning. This of course doesn't detract from 32 Red still being my faourite casino :)

Firstly, thanks for the heads-up on this thread Tirilej!

@Probability - sorry for the hassle with this tournament, I've had a nightmare. Without going into too much detail I'm pleased to say the tournament is now back in the lobby and takes place this evening.

I hope it brings you luck after all the waiting.

Mark

Edited to add: The tournament auto cancels if not enough players - I agree there will be a lot more (hopefully).

Perhaps the auto cancel was set too high. If people have been let down twice, they may just give up even though it's now back for a third run. It seems that previous registrants have been auto registered for the rerun (as I seem to have been), but having seen it cancelled, it may mean fewer players actually bothering to use their entry.

It might be a marketing problem, not helped by the fact that there are large numbers of special world cup themed tournaments popping up elsewhere. It's easy to miss a few.

It also has 999 continues, so it's a question of whether the top prize represents a good purchase, rather than it being something that someone can win just by being lucky. Using all 999 continues and winning represents a profit of €2.50 - is it worth it:icon_twis After all, I haven't won the Slotsmeister with an insanely stupid score for many months now:D

Thank you Mark. Excellent customer service as always from your goodself :)

There are five of these!!!!!

This will just be the first purchase. It's going to get a bit confusing too, as they appear to overlap, starting 7 days apart, but lasting 11.

Perhaps to prevent the dreaded auto cancel, they should be opened to registration earlier. It's not possible to register for #2 to #5 yet. Other tournaments are already open, yet don't start for over 20 days!

Rounds 2 through to 5 are progression rounds ticketed by winning a place from Round 1. You cannot enter them without qualifying :) I think rounds 2 through to 5 start one day after each previous round ends.

were we supposed to get free spins today because someone got a red card last night?, or was that just my imagination

So they are. Not easy to spot because of the way it's been done. The info usually shows in the rules, but 32Red have used the optional description field to explain this, but NOT in the first one, where no mention is made that it is the first in a chain, nor how many players will progress.

It may be why they were so keen to be sure to have enough players for this first one, else they could not have the players they needed for the progressions.

It looks like it's the first 1200 that go up from the first one, based on the maximum number of players specified for the second as it has not been stated anywhere. The durations differ too, so I will have to be extra alert so as not to miss that short 2 and a half day one.

They did send out an email with a link to their page. There you have the details about the tourny.
Even I could understand the rules ;)

@mimi26
There are rules with them free spins too. Look at the bottom of that promotion and you'll see them.
No free spins for me.

Its purpose is not to make you deposit, but rather give something extra to those that have already decided to do so.

ok then well why put a value on the amount you need to deposit to get them?, why not just give to those who have deposited £10 etc etc, Free spins should be just that FREE with no attachment to how much has been deposited or they are not really free are they!

Does it really matter?
It's just something extra they want to give out, but that they probably feel they can't give everyone.

Exciting!

I'll get on board with this tomorrow. Cheers Mark!

P.S - New Sportsbook @ 32Redsport.com = Awesome. Really really good. I came across it by accident having previously flirted with 32RedBet - really impressed, especially on the iPad. Top work.

Cheers Slotster - not quite the finished article as yet so would appreciate any feedback good or bad, but we are very pleased with the uptake so far.
