Well, here we go again… another World Cup, another chance for bold predictions, terrible takes, VAR arguments and probably a few painful memories from previous tournaments being brought back.
I know I haven’t been posting much on the forum lately and, as many of you know, I’m not really a casino player myself. But during my years working with Casinomeister as Project Manager, I was always very close to the community side of things, trying to help keep the forum active, useful and enjoyable, and looking for opportunities to create content and little community events whenever possible.
Football is definitely one of my own passions, probably helped by being a lifelong FC Barcelona fan, so with the World Cup coming up I thought this could be a nice excuse to bring a bit of extra activity, banter and friendly rivalry back into the forum.
I’ve added a poll (sorted By Alph.) so we can see who the Casinomeister crowd thinks will win the World Cup 2026. The poll will close before the tournament starts, so get your vote in early.
As a Spaniard, I obviously have to go with La Roja
… although I’m fully prepared for this post to come back and haunt me later.
That said, apart from Spain, I also have a bit of a soft spot for Norway as my dark horse. I know being in a group with Les Bleus could make things complicated, and a possible route involving Germany or Ecuador would be a serious obstacle, but I still trust Mr Haaland to cause some damage.
So, who are you backing this time?
Are The Three Lions finally going to do it? Will Les Bleus or La Albiceleste show up when it matters? Could one of the hosts surprise everyone? Or are we going to get a proper dark horse story?
