Question What is so good about the UKGC?

The highest rated licensing authority on Casinomeister, but why?
It's not a passive-aggressive question, it's a genuine query. What do they actually do, or what purpose do they serve?

Could someone give me an example of how I might need them or how I might benefit from them?
All I know is; if a casino is UKGC-licensed, I can play there

I myself have not a scobby doo, My guess is that they have to bide by the strict rules, I guess that U.K rules seem to be more abiding than theses ofshore that do not give a dam about players,

Still, at the moment there are two operator listed as insolvent. with their licenses revoked. The problem is, UKGC will not get punters their money back.

So what are they good for?

They seem to be strict and we can even lodge a complaint via live chat, that gives players a good leverage, should they have a legitimate problem with a casino. The cost of losing this license, and a whole UK market, should keep casinos from doing anything roguish.

Edit::: I think its all a fast one any way to line line the Gov's pockets, I think the worst that will ever happen to a casino is license revoked, A shame really if this is the case,
