They seem to keep churning out the same old 5th reel collect progression slots and big bass/fishing frenzy style slots.

Although you were never going to blow the doors off with their older slots they were all fun to play (inspector gadget, ted, genie jackpots, sausage party, beavis and butthead etc). Nothing of the sort has been released since the last Goonies return slot.

We review Blueprint Gaming at Casinomeister
They got noticed for cloning every game they ever made. Sothey got the noggins joggin, and decided to rip off other games, add something shit to it, and clone the f**k out of that for the forseeable future instead. I'd guess anyway ;)

most branded content, comes with contracts, a costs for branding etc. While you have content that already works, why would invest in buying copyrights, compliance costs around the contracts etc.

King Kong Cash Even Bigger Bananas is smashing it on our end, and i enjoy playing it too.

Spolier alert: Flinstones slot is coming in March, could be good fun!

Also, did you know people in Dubai dont hate the Flinstones, but people in Abu Dhabi do?

Loved a lot of the older blueprint games, right upto the goonies return which I wasnt as much as fan of. Games since then I don't really like much although ive given them a try.

Mainly the King kong cash bananas game and the newer bigger bananas - I find both, but particularly the newer one, frustratingly 'predictable' with the collect mechanic and how it plays. Ooh lots of values on the screen, never ever collects.. oh look 1x - yep collect that. Endless collects with nothing on the screen, or double collect at either end and no cash values. Not a bad game as such, just find it really frustrating as you can just see what its going or not going to do.

I mainly spin between 20p and £1 stakes. When Im winning and have a balance to play with I used to like going onto the 'fun' blueprints, whacking the stake up to 4 quid or more and smashing spin in the hope of a random feature or a bonus.

I remember once on Rick and Morty wub I was playing at 1.60 stake and it bonused around 6 times in about 20 spins. Made a small fortune off it.

I'm a sucker for anything where an idiot pops up in the base game with a modifier - Goonies, Genie, R&M and all the clones. Decent medium-ish volatility with the chance of reasonable payouts if in the mood.

Also used to like the Red Tigers that did the same, Rainbow Jackpots, Lucky Halloween etc. but they dropped the RTP too low and/or put a stupid progressive on them

Also props to them all for having the "WMS-style" fast spin "tell" on the bonus:

Fast spin - bonus coming in

Medium spin - dead

Slow spin - base game.win.

Fast spin applies to every single Blueprint, not just the ones above. Nice to have.

They got a lot of mileage out of that particular engine - very similar games with small incremental changes over time. Does feel like they've moved on from that style of game though.

Interesting that going back to some of their earliest stuff and they did a number of collaborations with Popcap - Plants v Zombies appears to be a similar engine to something like Genie Jackpots?

That looks great, I love Plants Vs Zombies! I'm a total sucker for (Blueprint's) Worms Reloaded which VS still have on their books, despite the crappy RTP, it's such a fun game and I love the theme.

Broken record time but the vandalism that the online slots providers have committed against their own history is shocking, so many great games just completely lost to the sands of time. I know it's hard to believe in the year 2023, but there was a time when NetEnt were good!

Absolutely, I remember the Bejeweled, Zuma and Peggle slots as well - not the most intricate games, but the graphics and sounds made up for it (the same argument made for why AWPs became so popular in their day).

It's funny there are probably more retired slots out there I'd be happy to play as part of my session today, than new slots released in the past two years - not because I don't look at the new games, but I don't care for the 500th clone of Fishin Frenzy, Pharaohs Tomb (Eye of Horus), Book of Ra or Lightning Link...

With so many providers out there, you would think they'd be bringing some innovation to the sector, but instead we seem to be getting less of that as everyone focuses on chasing their one percent of the market (or more likely, the monopoly money market) and do the bare minimum for it. I similarly wouldn't mind so much if they brought a unique twist to the games, but most of them are essentially straight clones... relying on their graphics and audio to differentiate them in a sea of sameness.

Absolutely, give me back the MG Viper client and its selection of games from the original Immortal Romance release era, and I'd be happy.

There are just too many releases from too many providers these days, and online casinos don't seem to add any value to the process by doing any kind of curation or recommendations or reviews or anything else, they just dump them all on their sites and leave the player to work out the rest. (Just implementing a working search function seems to be beyond many of them.)

The other big problem I see over the last few years is that games are designed around working on phones and their smaller screens, so we've lost a lot of the intricacy and charm that online slots used to have, and I suspect maybe they're trying to reduce the data payload as well so the games load quickly. Hacksaw seem to be really bad for this, with games that look terribly plain and boring.

I'm sure there are still some good games to be found, over Covid (when we all had a lot of spare time at home!) I made a video about low-variance slots with high RTPs that I recommended for decent playtime and entertainment, although last time I checked at Rizk, many of them had been removed!

When I deposit at VS I generally just play a handful of old favourites, if they disappear one day, I'm not entirely sure I'd bother at all.

Oh to be able to play Netent's Evolution, or Beach, or Wild Rockets again.

Can't believe that despite doing 8 billion & a half spins in it for nohing over 1000x, I'm missing Reel Steel. loaded up BDBA last week, they've changed that again since I last played it. It now teases the bonus symbols once again, grwphically looks different and also gives what I'd estimate 5 times more near misses for 5oak diamonds than it did before, so the player actually has something to look at now, while going broke.

Got me thinking of the oldies now, Chop. Sniff Sniff. Damn you!

Two words:

LOST

ISLAND

How could Netent remove this and Evolution? Unfortunately most providers are not also enthusiasts, it's just business and numbers on a spreadsheet.
Let's say, technical infrastructure as in place, is not capable of running that game in HTML5

Oddly enough I loaded up BDBA a couple of weeks ago to see if they'd managed to de-crappify it a bit but nope, it's still a travesty compared to the Viper Client original (see also all the HTML5 remakes, really).

I quite enjoyed BDBA back in the day, chasing a line of diamonds when on a decent 100% match offer (ahhhh, remember those?....) was a noble pursuit for a long weekend of late nights and alcohol. Never did manage it in the free spins round though.

LOL same here. I had one of my best wins on that bastard. Had a terrible time on TSII at 32red, one night decided to play it (BDBA) at 81p spins. Like you never got the 5OAK sapphires/wild in the FS although 3 times in the base game at various places. On this night 15 spins bonus, f*ck-all for 14 spins, 15th. spin an extra 2 spins, the first of those hit gold bars/wild 5OAK for 2225 quid IIRC. Possibly the most satisfying slot spin I ever had.
