Blueprint Gaming Review
By Alex Smith Oct 11, 2016
Blueprint gaming has been producing some pretty nice games – many of which are getting some favorable comments in our forum. One of my criticisms is the capped winnings since many slot players play slots in the anticipation of massive wins. Overall, pretty good.
Blueprint Gaming is one of the world’s most well-known developers, when it comes to the online gambling world – and with a steep history in developing video slots for both on, and offline markets, Blueprint have developed a solid reputation, aided largely by the high-quality nature of their games.
Part of the German Gauselmann Group – the same company behind the Merkur brand – Blueprint Gaming are licensed by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission, meaning UK players can enjoy the vast majority of their titles – and the company’s intuitive nature is quick to show, with multiple partnerships with other game developers cropping up.
Today, Blueprint’s games can be found at a large number of online casinos, and UK players can find the games in many of the country’s bookmakers, too, on the fixed-odds-betting terminals. In this review, we’re going to take a look at some of Blueprint’s most popular slot releases… so, without further ado, let’s get started!
Blueprint Gaming offer almost all of their slots in an HTML5 format, and this allows players to enjoy the action without needing to download or install any software, or plugins.
Their games aren’t available through any downloadable casino clients, although as mentioned earlier in this post, some of their titles are available to enjoy through offline machines, particularly those found in bookmakers throughout the UK, and casinos throughout Germany.
There is some crossover between Blueprint Gaming and Merkur (they are, after all, owned by the same parent company), and this means you may see some Blueprint Games released with Merkur’s logo/branding, and vice versa. This is largely to do with licensing jurisdictions, but the game’s themselves remain identical, so it’s generally not anything you need to worry about.
Blueprint Gaming have released a staggeringly large number of ‘hit slots’, and below, we’re going to take a look at 10 of their most popular releases:
Top Cat: Based, of course, around the TV show of the same name, Blueprint’s Top Cat was one of the game developers first slots to use the ‘gamble your bonus for a better bonus’ framework, and this allows players to try for better bonus rounds. There’s also an influx of random, in-game features, making for highly-exciting and unpredictable gameplay.
King Kong Cash: King Kong Cash is one of the game developers newer releases, and again, like most of their titles, an influx of in-game bonuses, combined with the ability to gamble the bonus rounds in search of better wins has made the slot a hit with players. Big wins can be had in both base-game and the bonuses, which means each and every spin is as exciting as the next.
Ted: One of the most successful film releases in the last decade, Ted – the hilarious story of an alive teddy bear – has been successfully ported into an online video slot variation, and the humorous animation of Ted ‘passing wind’ can lead players to a number of lucrative features. The ‘Ted Big Money Bonus’ is where the BIG money can be found, and it’s possible to win up to 1,000X your total stake if you’re lucky enough to reach this stage.
Genie Jackpots: Arguably one of the provider’s most successful releases ever, Genie Jackpots can be found both online, and offline, and while the base-game doesn’t offer anything too exciting, a mystery Genie Lamp can trigger on any spin, awarding a number of bonus features. There’s also a progressive jackpot attached to the slot, which has been known to reach the dizzying heights of over £1 Million!
Jackpot Gems: Jackpot Gems is Blueprint’s answer to developing a modern video slot, with classic roots. There’s no bonus round, per-se… but an exciting “Action Spins” feature allows you to gamble any winnings made from the base-game on super spins – which state to offer a 100% RTP (meaning the casino don’t possess any house edge during these action spins.)
The Pig Wizard: While Blueprint Gaming received some criticism for this (what is obviously a Harry Potter themed slot – although not official), The Pig Wizard is yet another of the game developer’s progressive jackpot games, with – like Genie Jackpots – a jackpot pool which has been worth well over £1 Million in the past. 4 exciting bonuses can be found by landing a scatter symbol on the first, third, and fifth reel, and the Pig Wizard himself can fly out on any spin to award a number of in-game bonuses.
Wild Antics: Wild Antics is based all around the children’s song – the ants go marching two by two’ – and it’s one of the developer’s most successful releases to date, likely aided by the plethora of in-game bonuses and features, any of which can trigger on each spin. Wild Antics is one of Blueprint’s only slots to not allow players to gamble their bonuses – but despite this, the game’s proven a hit, and continues to receive recognition from players around the world.
Wish Upon a Jackpot: Loosely combining a number of children’s fairy tales, Wish Upon a Jackpot is another of Blueprint’s highly-successful releases, and it’s perhaps best-known for the ‘flying fairy’ in-game bonus, which can prove lucrative when landed… but frustrating when teasing. There’s also a few solid main bonuses within the game, and it operates on a “Pick Your Bonus’ mechanism, whereby you choose from three symbols on screen to reveal which bonus you’re going to receive.
Fortunes of Sparta: Based, of course, around Spartacus, Fortunes of Sparta is well-liked by players thanks to the potential found in both base-game, and bonus. Matching a 5-of-a-kind combination of wild symbols within the base-game itself awards a whopping 4,000X stake – and it’s possible to win up to 100 free-spins in the free-spins feature, with all wins subject to the ‘lock and spin’ feature – something we’ve seen successfully used in other slots, such as Netent’s Jack Hammer II.
Inspector Gadget: Another branded slot, Inspector Gadget features some of the most intuitive gameplay mechanisms we’ve seen from Blueprint Gaming yet, and the bonuses and features (of which there are plenty) can expand the actual height of the reels during gameplay, expanding the number of paylines, and increasing the ways you have to win. While the bonus round appears very hard to land, it can be worth waiting for, and like most of the developer’s slots, a plethora of in-game features keep players occupied and entertained, on every spin.
Blueprint Gaming are always releasing new games – and it’s worth keeping an eye on their titles, as they’re known for their exciting, and entertaining games.
