Hi
id like to know what peoples thoughts are on prima poker..ive played a lot but never ever do well yet i play on another platform at the sametime and always do pretty well..it seem son prima fish have an advantage because it ALWAYS rewards bad play.im writing this as an example..today 1 hand i pick up a pp 10 10 ..flo- comes 3c 10h 9s ..guy moves allin im thinking gee birthday time and even more amazing another guy calls too..cards are shown one guy has qq other has 6s 8s...can you believe i end up with the worst hand turn is a qs and river 4s giving the worst hand the flush and win..this happens continually on prima and ive decided to give it a bodyswerve from now on..yesterday i call an allin raise holding AA guy shows 2 6 os flop 2 2 6 6 7 ..i aint a bad loser in the least i just think PRIMA is worth avoiding if your a strong player id love to hear others thoughts..by the wy pokerstars thats another dodgy site well worth avoiding unless you got a massive bankroll you will lose consistently to the same garbage players.in my opinion only www.betfair.co.uk holds a decent poker room and well worth joining.

NICE Thread

For the Prima Network be aware I didnt started this thread...

Regardless if I am the biggest bitch when complaining from an operation the only site I am doing business with now days is Pokertime from Pirma Poker Network.

I really dislike the Microgaming poker software... it blows big time. I honestly enjoy more Tribecas software or the one that Pokerstars use.

How did I ended becoming a Prima Network slave??? They got me with their $10 promotion which they honored with no complian, their website is really solid and clear and they had a nice chat service.

What happened... I played with the $10 and didnt proffit much. (I am a lousy poker player) Deposited like $50 and enjoyed a lot of their 5 seat turbo tournaments.

Something you have to admire from the Microgaming poker software is the variety they offer. They have tables for every type of player... from the small gambler to the biggest high roller. They have an amazing menu of single table and mulit table tournaments which I really like.

One thing the Prima Poker has which I adore are their daily $1000 free rolls... they allow up to 15k seats which blows... but it is a really nice tourney.

They think I dislike and hate about them is their CS... One of the most incompetent ones I have ever seen. Is just not worth it sending an email or chat. Their Chat service is so SO BAD that if you get answered by anyone you just feel like punching your monitor due to the moron on the other side.
Emails can take up to a week to be answered and always from a smartass not answering you question and giving you tons of stupid details.

I never received my invitational first free roll.. .but is ok.

Regarding bad beats, I guarantee you their random number generator is way better than the one at Tribeca... Play at Doyles room and check what I am saying.. very nice software, the hands you will see in this software are just out of the question.

Gotta go, Costa Rica is playing against Germany...

I stopped playing on Prima ages ago. I had issues with the PC running at 100% cpu and slowing to a crawl.

Also the rake was calculated on the pot total that included uncalled bets. Dont know if thats still the case but I think its ripoff if they do.

i too have a tough time winning at Prima. I believe it has more Euros playing there so that tends to mean a lot more calling stations. Of course this can be profitable, but it can also be quite painful as it increases the number of suck-outs.

I mostly play sit n go tourneys. I once reported some players I thought were colluding on Prima. 32Red forwarded the info to Prima, but I never received any more feedback. This was disappointing as Pokerstars or Party will e-mail you a detailed analysis if you report possible collusion. At least Prima is very good about enforcing that players always stick with the same username if they switch between Prima skins.

I believe the CS is handled seperately for each skin. I play at 32Red on Prima and the customer service is very efficient.

I recently had a good experience with Prima Network.

got a $10 no deposit bonus at dreampoker, turned it into $80, deposited $20 and cashed out the entire $100 a couple of days later...

Just my 2 cents.

A couple years ago I started to play poker at Party Poker. I was clueless and discouraged.

Then I tried the $10 free deal at a Prima Site (Royal Vegas), and really learned how to play. I don't know if I ever deposited but I played exclusively there for a long time with many cashouts. No complaints ever.

Then I discovered bonuses and moved most of my play from Prima to Absolute Poker.

I never noticed anything strange about the randomness of any site (about a dozen different poker sites). Bad beats happen everywhere.

Absolute and Pokerstars

Definetly the best poker rooms on the net....

However I often play at Poker time because of their turbo 5 seat tourneys.. they are just outstanding...

Doyles I like, however their CS is awful, not as awful as Poker time, but their reps are just a bunch of %@@%.

Honestly Pokerstars is the place. AWESOME SOFTWARE AND SERVICE.

Also another one which I like a lot is igotpoker. Their gaming portal is quite nice and their cs is very good. They need some work, but they are heading the right direction.

I have always wanted to play at Alamo poker, but they won't let me play for real since I am a local...

if you like playing on Prima, why wouldn't you just play at 32Red instead of Pokertime? same players, much better CS...

I don't like prima poker.
It often favors bad play.
And its alias system is a mess for non-english players.

Prima Poker

I totally agree with the other options available Prima just isn't atractive.
MG casinos however are my preference when playing casinos.
(Though my casino play is less and less.)

My reasons to play at prima. 32redpoker is great. Dreampoker is great. Rounders tournaments at prima are a great concept, im signgo lover.
Wish pokerstars would have these type of tournies soon.

I have no idea if Prima deals a fair game or not - but I would guess that it does and we just have some bad losers above!

Bad-beats like these happen all the time - especially in Texas with fish playing.
That's one reason I don't like Hold'em, preferring Omaha instead.

Back to the original question:
No I do not like Prima - but only because the software is crap to look at & play.

I much prefer the 'action' buttons to be in front centre of the screen & the table to look more real, like Paradise, Empire & True Poker

Prima deals a fair game.....
But on a watchdog site like this one I am suprised to see alot of the players playing absolute. There has been a bad buzz going around about them. Shills and not fullfilling cashouts. Pokerstars is my go too. As most know about me I am a hi lo player. Pokerstars offeres the biggest variety of hi lo, followed by party poker. Ultimate bet was one of sites I was a regular at and then I just stoped. Same with party poker. All the updates they do Is really starting to Peeve me off. I like pokerstars, If you dont like the background etc. you can download the beta version. But I like to stick with classic pokerstars....

In reply to your post not a bad loser at all just looking for a site that aint dubious..why do i say prima is dubious?? well checkout this thread...
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.
...now read it carefully..NOONE actually does check it thouroughly they garnt them a licence from log files PRIMA send them i mean cmon thats just ridiculous..surely these sites must get checked at source not some dude sending whatever he wants and gettin a licence that just aint right surely.and if all poker rooms act the same neither wonder theres a lot of suspicions about online poker..gus hansen said a week or so ago on tv that in reply to his perfoirmance in a tournament " well the flops were off the online variety continual action flops that broke me" take from that what ya will but i have to say the continual bad beats to loose hands on prima are by far the worst you will see online..

i disagree. there are too many quality operators using Prima that would not allow for an unfair deal.

i think the reason that you see more bad beats on Prima is that there is a high percentage of Scandinavian players there. i'm not picking on these players. some of them are excellent, but in general they play a much looser game and are willing to pay up when they're on a draw.

If you are a licensed bookmaker in the UK or Ireland, why would you risk your license for using some cheating poker software. You would not. They get money from rake and the like. I, as a rule only play on sites that have skins in a legitimate jurisdiction and have members that have something to lose. Kanawawkee and ecorga are worthless.

Prima has a few books on it along with crypto. #2red is on Prima and that is a meister fav. Maybe you play agaisnt me at prima. I will put a hurt on you.

WHITERAT on prima

Prima poker runs very smooth on my 7-yr-old PC although it's crap.
I go to prima poker when my wife works or my son plays games on the other pc.
party poker will make me on and off with this minimum configration pc.

Microgaming

One thing I love about Microgaming poker... NOT PRIMA POKER, is their RNG...

I don't complain about bad beats. It seems and I know they offer a fair game...

What I don't like are graphics and gaming experience. Also I don't have nothing against Prima Poker... I used to play at Poker Time, those guys hook me up with $10 for free... but their CS is just too lame.

Prima is great.. tons of activity 24 hours a day and amazing tournaments... Probably is only some rooms given them a bad reputation.

I am very happy now days playing at Titan... I will probably be making my initila deposit in the following days there and let you know what happens.

Playtech :notworthy

its my experience that you can get quality CS but only as far as until it actually reaches Prima's hands. then you get the above.

The people at Prima are small-minded and I think many of their decisions are ego-based rather than what is good solid common sense-driven.

Years ago (and I play a lot of poker ... at least back then) I was warned by Prima not to talk about other poker rooms while playing. Not that i was trying to gain players by telling them to go to my sites and choose a different poker room mind you ... but rather we'd be sitting and playing and somebody would inevitably bring up an experience at another poker room, or perhaps question about another one ... and in joining in the conversation I got warned.

Well I always am aware of what would be the equivalent of saying 'go to my sites and choose a different poker room or casino". So I stay away from it as best possible and after being warned you can bet I was extra careful.

But somewhere along the line i must have made some mention of another poker room ... most likely in reply. I DO know I didn't do any kind of promoting. I have friends whom I've made in Prima's poker room and would do near anything to continue our relationships which were completely thru Prima since i had truly never promote my sites and thus they had no way of knowing how to get in touch with me short of Prima.

Well Prima in its discretion chose to simply block my chat but didn't tell me. For a week I couldn't figure out why nobody would say hello back to me. and later I figured out that my friends probably wondered the same about me.'

What a class act Prima is.

Have you ever in your life entered a cafe and had the owner walk up and ask you to leave or shup up because the table's conversation had went to being about the cafe across the street?

Earlier on than that; there was an incident where a player had insulted a lady player and another male player came to her aid. If not for my intervention the latter two would have been banned right along with the person who was guilty of starting the whole mess to begin with.

Prima sucks for those reasons alone. I do like the games and people who play there. And I do still list MGS poker rooms (the ones I can count on to go the distance with Prima if necessary) but I very much feel they are run by a bunch of ego-based small-minded individuals that likely wouldn't still be in business if not for them having MGS as a buffer between them and their patrons.

By the way

Awful spelling on that quote.. sorry for that.

Sometimes while working my fingers can get dumb and all around the place..

32Red new players freeroll

I finally got to play in the monthly 2k freeroll at 32red today.

I'm about one notch above donkey, yet I'm certain I was one of the better players in this tourney. 100 players signed up.....i'm guessing 30-40% of them didn't even show up to play a hand. I got decent cards but only won one pre-flop all-in and still finished 5th for $120. (plus I had 40% shot on my final hand)

If you have any hold-em skills, I'd recommend openning an account at 32Red poker ahead of the new player freeroll next month.
