I knew someone would say something like this just because you think your amazing and you like to give it the big I am.

I clearly stated those hands are just a few of a large list over the past year or so.

If you don't have anything positive to add to this thread don't post. I have no plan on massaging your ego at all so don't waste your time.

I'm looking for advice from ppl who have been through the same as me and want to know where else they have taken their play to.

I do not play poker but i am glad some people gave you some advice. I hope it helps and GL.

and right player had QQ :D
4oak vs straight flush vs royal flush :p
i my best hand was on PS sit and go, it is nothing interesting, but for me that was 'wow'
Preflop all in with QQ, op shows JJ
I saw flop JJ2 and thought to my self something like 'ok, even without chances'
turn comes with Q and i thought to myself 'ok, lost FH vs 4oak'
River come again Q and i imagine how much chances i had on flop. I made some calculation, and it was once in few millions or something like this :D

You won't find a better software. IMO both MG and Netent sucks virtually impossible to win anything on them. Seriously though if I had to sit through another low paying feature on them my head might have gone through the screen. You should try Live Poker that's the only way you know your getting a fair game.

My eyes hurt from reading the hand history. First off of course its not rigged. You need to play a whole lot better. Serious flaws in your game play. Your second hand your calling $22 with pair of jacks then you call $66 with 2 pair jj 33? Its not the guy always raising its you always pressing the call button.

I have never played anywhere other than Stars.

I wrote a couple of times that I dont play anymore, too time consuming.
Played close to 20k hands and obviously plenty of "punch the screen" suckouts.
What you need to remember is that it swings both ways.

Unless someone can see your hole cards, which happened at Absolute and Ultimate,
you get the same treatment as everyone else.

I don't think Stars is rigged - why would they?
Unlike casinos, the poker room ALWAYS wins (through the rake) and getting caught cheating would ruin them. There is absolutely no incentive for them to run any sort of bent game.

You're asking about tournaments, but you were obviously playing a ring game there. My suggestion IS to play tourneys (Sit'n'Gos) so that at least you know the maximum you can lose right from the start.
I used to play Poker quite a lot - mostly Omaha Hi-Lo (my first ever poker site was Stars, way back in 2001). The problem you'll have if you like Omaha is finding room with enough action on this variation of the game.

I can't suggest any other sites to try as I don't play much now. Personally I love PKR, because I'm a big fan of the realistic talking avatars, but there's very little non-Texas action going on there :(

KK

The problem is, despite this, two poker outfits DID rig the games, and the scandal that ensued has seriously damaged the reputation of online poker. Many instances where things don't seem right are down to colluding rings of players trying, and sometimes succeeding, to use the poker site for their own clandestine means, rather than to play poker. There are measures in place to detect this, and any operator that fails to be thorough in keeping the games clean will find their site gets exposed by some very expert poker players, the ones that managed to "out" the cheating that went on in the major scandal that caught the Kahnawake napping.

The main reason poker is now so hard to win at is the prevalence of professional players who play so tight that recreational players become their cash cows. One of these players would have cleaned out this crazy manic raiser by playing a fairly tight game, rather than by trying to be just as manic.

If he bet wildly till he hit, he WILL hit most of the time in the end, but just like Martingale, when it goes wrong, it goes wrong in a big way.

just watch the weekly sunday million videos on their youtube and you'll see that even with perfect play, worst hand becomes favorite to win. also some of the players are going allin with small pairs despite they have enough blinds and in front of them are chipleader and one or two more to act. guess how they reached final table and wonder how many good players pissed off during this quest. 22 and any small pair in allin on stars most of the time are better than KA,AQ,KQ and its variances. /FACT! on other sites nobody with a brain goes allin with small pair in decent tourneys because the chance is to lose, not on pstars.
my advice, play iPoker. betfred, ladbrokes or william hill. significantly fewer bad beats, aces have the odds to really be the best poker hand, rarely 2 sets on same flop how bingostars are randomly(?) showing, exclusive promotions and nice tourneys with fewer people than pokerstars.
i still play pstars for their big value tourneys with small buyins. i deposit once at 2 months $20, play some turbos, get knocked out in the pokerstars manner when remaining players are XXX out of XXXX(Y), spit the screen, uninstall the program and the cycle goes on.

More bad beats on other networks? this is such nonsense all these sites run on RNGs and the cards are totally random to the user there are no 'setups' but just people who don't understand the maths behind poker or who are actually bad players themselves but would rather blame the software than there own inability to play properly.

OP you may want to run your PLO hands through a calculator, they are so standard and nothing to write home about, I earn a nice side income playing pokerstars/partypoker and wouldn't be able to if it was rigged.
Bad beats are part of the game, the more you play the more they will happen AA will be cracked by 72 1 in 5 times, get over it!

So, no, stars IS NOT RIGGED!!!

re your feelings: today i had 50$ on my ftp account and play adrenalin rush ( push or fold only) with 5$ stakes. I lost 50$ in 15 mins, lost AA < A3 , AK < k5, KT < K9 and many more. This is poker, and everyone loses from time to time. Relax.
If you never played at ipoker, PM i give you good affy who pays around 120$ for 100$ in rake. You try the field and earn some cash.

You realise this is the form of poker with the highest level of variance out there right?

I don't have the HH, but we didn't get it all in preflop; I'm a preflop nit, no need to go crazy when it's 10/20, we progressively got there, getting it all in on the river. I'm not sure I would even count this amongst my worst 50 bad beats.

These things happen all of the time. If I'm playing in a number of tournaments at once, and I get sucked-out on, I generally don't dwell on it. If I get nailed by ridiculous things all at once, like getting knocked out of +4 MTTs, getting my money in when I'm well ahead, only to be counterfeited by the river (runner-runner scenarios galore), clustered in quick succession, that's a different thing altogether. It's hard to embrace variance in those moments - but the big picture is that it's good that everyone has the chance to win, no matter what their skill level.

PokerStars is my favorite poker site, almost everything about the place is top notch. I really don't know of anyone who plays there regularly that thinks their RNG is the cat's meow (and I'm talking about winning regulars/pros). It is what it is. Part of it might have something to do with the high frequency of action flops that people complain about, or just the nature of poker and how players deal with losing; no one loves to lose. You'll see lots of ridiculous stuff on all networks - other than Stars - too. There are some high profile cash game grinders who won't touch PokerStars cash games, and are more than content staying with any number of the European sites that are out there, while some won't trust some of the lesser known sites that don't do as good of a job preventing collusion & bot use. There are plenty of other options, and PartyPoker is a pretty good alternate to Stars and FullTilt.

I appreciate all of your responses and I have read them all taking some great advice in. Appoligies to whoever a head I bit off but I hate people who just say things that just sounds like "your shit" I'm not a bad poker player I have played for years and am finding it very hard to adjust to this new style of have a go heroes that stars seems to be full of.

One thing I have noticed is probably 90% of hands are determined on the river. The worst hand always gets better on the river. I don't care if you say "bullshit it's the way your playing" it's fact. It happens too often on stars and it makes you wonder if there is a reason behind it. Is the RNG crap? Maybe. Is it a ploy to get more action? Probably not because they make a lot of money and no one who makes a lot of money wants to make even more money do they?

Anyway, after much thought I transfered my balance to full tilt and played some Omaha cash games there. First game I started with $40 and left with $208. Second game I started with $80 and left with $265 so I've decided from now on I'm going to play cash at FTP and tourneys at stars since their banking is easily transferable.

I'll give it a week or 2 and see how it goes. If It goes back to me getting my ass kicked on the river too often then I'll just withdrawl my BR and say good bye to the game I used to love.

At the end of the day, poker just isn't what it used to be. And I've read some high stake players blogs who have said the same thing so I guess it's happening all across the field. If I can't adjust I'll find something else to do as a hobby.

Again, thanks for the advice I may come back here in a few weeks and update you all on if my story concludes or comes to an end.

I absolutely get your point, you can play every hand the perfect way and get rivered down. That is the one thing I hated the most.
Donks calling with pair of 5s on a lets say 8,9,Q flop, with me having lets say KK, then 4 on the turn, calling again.
That happens a lot, youd think well he might have been dealt aces, but why is not raising then, and so on, overthinking it.
Go all in on the river and he calls because there is a fookin 5 on the river. When this scenario repeats quite often, I understand that
it doesnt seem right. But it is bad luck, nothing else.

Try having 76s next time.

It isn't rigged but the cards and flops do often work in favour for morons who play j2 or 59(trash hands to good players) By this I mean is far too often the donks hand wins! It's like the site is catered for idiots who can't play poker and they gave us AA or KK and them q7 and surprises surprises they flop 2 pairs!! or worse make js full of 2s! (seen this more than once) In other words the really awful players win way too much! Play tight here is the only way around it to an extent!!

Sorry to hijack this thread, but how come PokerStars isn't accredited here? I know a couple are; Poker Paddy is. PokerStars (despite what's being said in this thread) is essentially the industry standard and has an excellent security team; It certainly has a solid enough reputation to be accredited.

Quick answers, which I believe is correct:

* Casinos have to apply for accreditation, CM do not contact casinos/sportsbooks/poker rooms and ask them...

* CM do not have a special accreditation for poker rooms (or sportsbooks)

* Those accredited poker rooms you see here is the ones who have accredited casinos as well. Paddy Power Casino is accredited, therefore you can see "Paddy Poker" in the review of Paddy Power.

Correct me if I'm wrong.:)

I play there, haven't played for real money in a long time, but the tournies are unreal, you have to wait for all the Id---ts to get out to have a change, I can win tickets to the sat and sun games and win a few bucks, but I've seen what you are talking about that's why I don't deposit there.

I don't think anyone can deny that cheating goes on in online poker. After all how can anyone stop a group of players (or team) from collaborating on the phone or facebook while they play? I don't think its worse than any other place though. Elsewhere you probably have to worry about bots in MTT (which play fairly decently I've heard), however PokerStars is probably the ONLY site that actively seeks to ban bot play.
