what a difference a week makes.

Well something is going on I've now had 6 sow requests in last ten days including a casino I've been a member of for 15 years, white hat have also requested it, I have three accounts left now, I refuse to send in those requests as it's none of there business what I earn & my bank statement isn't for any casino.
So it looks like it's the start of nanny state & many casinos shall be leaving the UK, I doubt many players can show recycled funds from winnings from another casino which are used mostly. I think lock down has a lot to do with it, with punters opening new accounts because they cant play or bet at bookies.

Give it a month and a SOW will be required to be submitted on registration and all existing players will
have to send one as well, they have gone enforcement crazy this year, wonder if any single person involved
with drawing the regs up has ever played online or has any knowledge of the industry.
Wish they had just stuck to setting payouts in arcades and bingo halls (even that they fucked up) ,they
certainly have no idea what damage they are doing to online gaming and what an ordeal they are making
for players, all in the name of do gooders making trying to make a name for themselves protecting a tiny
minority of players who cant control their gambling and will only find another way of fucking their lives up,

Its beyond a joke i do understand money laundering, problem is they're using it for wrong purposes including hiding behind they have a legal obligation to comply with UKGC , i had £3000 withdrawal stuck because i refused to send in bank statements went on for a couple of weeks, in the end i said if you have evidence to show im money laundering then please send all the details to police/authorities, failing this you need to settle my withdrawal, they did honour it & paid.
Again i closed the account, another thing to be aware of this new thing is where they close your account & make it out like you've self excluded nothing to do with account closure because you have refused to send in docs of SOW, many casinos are at it, i doubt any casino is clean in uk anymore because its coming mark my words something is going on........

So ultimately one puts the onus on casinos to prove one's a money launderer, or else they pay up.....

Could set an interesting marker for a lot of casinos who have been acting as bully boys for a while now

Sort of, i stated that i would have no problem whatsoever supplying the information they required to police/authorities , but did have a problem with sending them it, so clearly someone looked at it & decided they would pay all of a sudden.

At the end of the day no one can "afford" gambling. We all gamble because we want to win, whether its at the physical casino, online or on a cruise ship etc No one goes on slots in fun mode for 3 hours "entertainment"

No gambler I thinks, I know I will spend exactly £200 a week on slots.

Personally, I may play several evenings in a row, or not at all for a few weeks. It depends on if I fancy it, maybe me and the missus fancy a joint session, or Ill have an online session with one of my gambling mates where we use 2 computers and share each others screens.

Gambling is not like the weekly shop, and affordability cannot be assessed like that.

My SOW is the fact the debit card transaction was approved, end of story.

It's probably getting the police/authorities involved that's scaring them, guess they don't want to be investigated either:rolleyes:

What's coming down the pike is a lot worse than what we have now. Current UK plans under consultation are:

1. Complete removal of autospin
2. Max £2 stake
3. Mandatory deposit limits based on affordability assessments
4. Reduction of "game intensity" (ie fun) - no more "heartstoppers" , reduction of spin speed, no turbo spin, no celebration of less than 1x win

It will just be a handful of nanny casinos and bookies left, a hollowed out experience not worth bothering with. Whatever, at least my fishing and PS4 will be left alone ..

Oh so loads too look forward too..
the £2 max spin I’ve no issues with at all, agree with that totally.

also agree If you can’t justify your spending then you should be asked. I mean if I ask for a loan or anything they check I can afford to pay it back and sorry that’s the right way to do things.

onto 3.. that is just pointless..
Check a players affordability before being able to deposit, then after that let the player do as he or she pleases.

1) just get an autoclicker or or a stupid bird that pecks at a picture of a worm stuck over the start button

2) ok with it on slots, easy to lose a grand on £2 spins,if its expanded to all games, like table games, slingo and evolution, bye bye casinos.

3) Ties in with SOW on registration, which I think will definatly come, could actually be the right thing to
do as the existing rules are abused by a lot of casinos, and players cannot deposit and play as they wish
with risking suspensions.Would force the casinos to up their game and take a more measured approach
if they want new players.

4) load of shite, does nothing to address problem gambling

Something not mentioned is scrapping VIP incentives, thin end of the wedge, it will be expanded to cover
all bonuses promotions and cashback for every player.

Another possibility is mandatory session time limits, less play, less loss .. and less fun.

Notice how many players are saying they will close their accounts with casinos that demand SOW stuff.
Those players will have nowhere to play in the very near future,I am in the same boat now, I wont be joining
any new casino and will never send sensitive data to them again, should never had sent it in the first place.

I think, if you're putting decent amounts through, it's probably best to stick with who you have an a/c with the longest - in theory, a longer customer relationship (they can see past deposits/play etc) should mean you're viewed as lower risk than if you sign up on Monday and start spunking large amounts from the off - having said that, it's all theory, because they just seem to make it up on the go.

I don't have a problem with VIP schemes but others seem to have them in the rifle scope. Only really been a proper VIP in 2 places when i used to roll higher - did it make me play there, rather than casino B? Of course it did - why deposit at B when A was giving me something for the same thing? Did the casino send me offers hoping I'd take them up on it? Er, yeah.

They'll be gone this time next year i reckon or, if they still exist, you'll definitely need to supply your entire credit file to the casino.
