I was looking over the TCs of LeoVegas, an accredited casino on here, and I came across this bizarre wording in them:

“Before any withdrawals are processed, Your behavior on the Website/usage of the Games will be reviewed for any irregular playing patterns. In the interests of fair gaming, equal, zero or low margin bets or hedge betting, shall all be considered irregular playing patterns for bonus play-through requirement purposes. Other examples of irregular playing patterns play for bonus play-through requirement purposes include but are not limited to, placing single bets equal to or in excess of 30% or more of the value of Your total balance (including any given bonus) until such time as the wagering requirements for that bonus have been met. Should the Casino deem that irregular playing patterns have occurred, the Casino reserves the right to withhold any withdrawals and/or confiscate all winnings and bonus.”

Does this only apply to people who take bonuses? Or irregardless of taking the bonus, people who make a large bet that’s more than 30% of their balance, no matter what? Then the casino has the right to void the bet? In which case the casino has the right to take your winnings on a large bet when you get a feeling and want to make a big bet? Do they refund the bet if you lose then? I thought that was an awfully weird way to word a bet in your TC’s, and leave it so open ended. To me it basically says “if you make a big bet that you don’t normally make, and win, we have every right to do whatever we want, including take away the winnings.”

Any ideas or opinions? Its so odd to
me, and I’m surprised especially coming from an accredited Casino. It is essentially saying nobody can get too lucky. Or is it only applicable to people who take bonuses? Whereby it’s in there only to punish and go after bonus abusers?

Only my opinion, but it's normal for such a clause (right or wrong) regarding bonuses.
I can't imagine it applies to a straight up deposit, as you're fit to bet as you...well, see fit.

Of course, if youre in need of casino claification, flag the casino rep (or pm) to the thread

Well, it clearly reads "Other examples of irregular playing patterns play for bonus play-through requirement purposes..." . So, that would exclude playing with your own funds.

I had the same reaction with the OP, a long time ago, when I first saw the "irregular play" term.
It is there for many casinos, for real money and bonus money, to protect against ML, collusion and other things like that.
Its vague because it has to be, but you can trust an accredited casino to use it the right way.

Yes but then it continues on for a long time. (As you see it’s a long paragraph) and almost feels like it’s no longer talking about only bonus money.

I would call that rogue: if the wording is (too) vague to possibly include real money. There are high-rollers out there who at one point may see their balance drop considerably whilst betting much more than 30%.

it seems ...cyclical
once, it was casinos being well....douche-nozzles...
then relaxed Ts and Cs
then, now, again, over zealotous for fear of repercussions

im sure, a yr, from now, there'll be another turn :p

IMO these t’s & c’s are put there to protect them from syndicates with strategies on games like blackjack but they do cover betting patterns on slots. As regards table games it’s perfectly understandable as you would find the rules at a land based casino exactly the same. When it comes to slots if the games are random as they state they are how can you be seeking an edge when you allegedly have no idea what will drop? You wouldn’t find the same rules at a land based casino as nobody stands over you watching your strategy.I recently had my account at Guts closed. Where I had never played table games and my slot play varied from 20p to 50p. I openly asked them to inform me how I was possibly seeking to breach t’s and c’s (bonuses were not involved) in their thread and they declined that option. In fact they didn’t want any communication full stop.

The thing with slots and bonuses is that casinos sometimes want to be generous, having in mind that this is a promotion that will keep old players happy and bring new ones and keep them also.
So slots may be random, but groups of people that only play a few spins to win and then go away and never come back, completely destroy the above good intentions.

I hope it only applies to bonuses because sometimes I will make large bets (bigger than 30% of my balance) on baccarat bonus bets to try to get even or win, and if they hit, I don’t want my winnings void because I end up winning too much.

I don’t take bonuses but if I’m losing I like to come back with a large 25 or 11 to 1 payout.

Specifically the 11 to 1 and the 25 to 1 suited pairs are my favorite to throw 1k euros on and if it hits you’re back on top.

In any event I’d like to see if we can get the LeoVegas rep in here to comment on this

How do you page the LeoVegas rep to a thread? I wrote to him but who knows when the last time they were on. They don’t seem to be too active.

Have you tried to contact LeoVegas support with your query? They are there to answer questions and if someone is not sure, will get it confirmed from relevant person like casino management. This way many this kind of questions will get replied right away, writing here to rep might be for more complex things when you are not satisfied for reply given you by casino.

Not many (or i guess none) casinos have full time CM rep, so in general i would suggest to ask first from livechat or email to support to get this clarified and if they can't do it, then contact rep. Any rep usually don't have muscles and time to deal with all queries which could be first addressed to support department who many times can give you answer in minute when it's coming to bonus rules or other kind of terms and conditions, or if not, they should find it out like reps here are doing, might just help you to get your reply much faster and only engage rep if not satisfied to reply or any other matters which first are dealt with casino through support channels.

I haven’t had the best success with their live chat. Accredited Casinos have their reps on here for a certain reason. It’s to interact with the players when they have issues, and I have to imagine to some extent for marketing purposes.

It’s not like the reps are some busy person who can’t be bothered with customers. They’re JOB on here is to interact with us!

Hello everyone!

Apologies for the delayed response here.

The term and condition noted by EbertScore at the start of this thread is to be used for bonus funds only.

Just to remind you all that the maximum bet with bonus funds would be 5€/£/$.

Thanks for the inquiry and wish you all the best of luck in the casino!

Hey Jono777,

Thanks for your question.

From time to time there are some changes which are made to the bonus offers on site. Unfortunately, in this instance, it means that this particular game is not available to use with bonus funds currently.

I'm really sorry for any inconvenience, however, I'm sure there will still be lots of offers which you will love!

Apologies once again for this.
