Nate, ever considered working for BTG's International Marketing Dept? Your natural enthusiasm for their games shines off the page

Yeah I considered it, but then again, I'm not one that really likes attention.

Just imagine if I had to run with their Block Busters - Book of Duds and Holy Drivel - The attention I'd receive would be too much to take - I mean coupled with their feature buy mechanic and sequels to both those slots on the horizon.... it would be a viral experience...

No Chilli, Bonanza, Holy Drivel, Book of Mods, White Rabbit.... (Even with feature buys)

@Big Time Gaming - It's rather embarrassing when GEMIX has more 2000x + hits than ANY of your titles and Scudamore has more hits (Leave alone Dead or Alive or BOD) than ALL your titles combined?

Even your customers who you sold your Engine to have more wins than ANY of your slots?

To be fair and straightforward on the issue - you should change your marketing line of Big Time Gaming's Slots consistently deliver 'BIG WINS' to players ... to Big Time Gaming's Slots RARELY deliver 'BIG WINS' to players

Nate

BTG marketing strategy - TOP SECRET!

1. Design a nefarious low- medium variance game with a pointless ultralow basegame that eats up 90% of the rtp and keep 6% for mid range bonus. Then leave 0.00001% for a 1 in 5 million “big” 2000x win.

2. Prey a streamer hits it in on youtube in reasonable time to coincide with my big marketing push or its all just been a complete failure.

Win - Bonanza
Fail - the others but mainly Holy Diver.

3. Do a triumphant “I told you” casinomeister post (granted, embarrasingly late) when 6 weeks down the line and 10s of million of spins later - someone hits and captures something noteworthy.

Please - Also, don't forget to tag half the forum... It's important.

I forgot final point:

4. Raise a shrine in the boardroom and mark a company holiday for all employees in honour of Chopley for inadvertantly saving your newest release nice and early for the marketing department. All hail!

If you think about it feature buys will reduce the x bet potential = a 20p play, £20 feature buy paying £2000 is only 100x bet.

No, no, you don't understand. It's "big wins" in quotes. It's an ironic sort of thing.

Like spinuk said though, the strategy of creating a medium variance slot that provides the illusion that those mega wins are possible has probably been a successful strategy for some. I might put immortal romance in that category, but it looks like at least occasionally people are actually hitting those 4 reel wild desires.

Ive had 3 four reelers in my time and done far less spins than Bonanza - mind you the Immortals base game is far less forgiving.

We're super thrilled about how much positive feedback and appreciation these monthly wins has received. We'll keep it up for as long as people appreciate it :)

For @09237653 and the rest who wondered how the 9.936x bet in Scudamore’s Super Stakes were made, I've done some digging in the game and this is the function how you could receive the win and the last spin was a 2kr bet.

So actually it's 1242x bet since spins and the bet slip function have different stakes, but I understand that 9936x looks better ;) If you also factor in the 80 spins, I'm assuming it took until the last spin, it's even less times bet :p

Thought it must have been a betslip bet.

Tho technically if they played the 80 spins and added the £1.60 betslip stake to reach the win it is only 113x bet. But guess it would be nearly 10000x if you only count the last 20p spin.

9.936 x bet in Scudamore’s Super Stakes, but how? 4900x on the reels then 5000x on the bonus in a single spin, betting slip? seems impossible

It's the bet slip feature. I used to abuse it in the casino races on one site because if you bet €8 on Jacks and bet at €1 (which was the lowest for these races), you have like a 50/50 to get a 16x win every 20 spins. So if you buy the most expensive bet slips possible, you could easily produce 1000x's on demand. It also messes up the slot tracker and gives Scudamore (and NetEnt in general to some extent) a much higher RTP than it really has, because it neglects the bet slip cost for some reason.

Yes I did think it was maybe that.
