Try it: CM, MG, OP, RTP ...

You go to someone's profile page and you'll see a row of tabs that say (using mine for example)
chayton's Activity | Profile Comments | About Me | Friends | Experience etc...

Just click on Profile Comments and there you go - of course that only works if the person doesn't have profile comments turned off.

AFAIK that's pretty much the #2 definition. For the most part it comes down to context as to whether "Original Poster" or "opening post" are meant.

Years ago on discussion boards and Usenet, people were referring to "TS" and "OP" for "Thread Starter" and "Opening Post", respectively. Nowadays OP means both but Opening Post is the original definition.
