This has to be a Joke but it isnt April 1's

I just got the same email wanting to send me to the Luxor if I deposit 25,000. And another one for an LCD Tv if I deposit 2500. this month. One of us is suffering from delusions of grandeur or however you spell it and I'm pretty sure it isn't me. LOL Merry Christmas everyone!

P.s. will send postcard from the Luxor!! :D

If this were at an ACCREDITED casino, I would probably have given this one serious consideration, provided there were no catches, such as there being a requirement to LOSE the 25K. I would look at other promotions running alongside, such as scoreboard wager challenges, and if these were promos I would be playing anyway, would just put THROUGH the required 25K, although this would not (hopefully) COST me 25K.

If the trip was guaranteed and you only had to play $25,000 through once, it'd be pretty good. Even at 80% RTP you're only going to lose $5K for a $10K trip. The break-even point would be 60%. If you were allowed to play blackjack, this would be an awesome deal, still assuming you're not just simply put into a drawing for the trip.

These figures only stack up providing this 10k valuation is accurate value for money. Who is to say that we the player cannot find a better deal ourselves if we wanted to go?

This kind of valuation reminds me of one of those Christmas hampers, you never quite know what your getting, then when you have it you find a load of crap that you don't normally eat or drink!

This holiday package could be a pig in a poke, rather than a gift horse in the mouth.
Whatever next a week in Skeggy at Butlins for the lowrollers?!

Yea, it's more like a ~$9,000 trip.

$3,732.40 - 1st class airfare and 3 day suite package via Luxor's (MGM's) site, + $5,000 in gaming chips + $352 for 2 show tickets.

I'm assuming that this is for 2 people, or else they wouldn't be offering 2 show tickets. 1st class airfare for me, leaving from Philly, is no less than $1300 per ticket. I'm sure you could at least double that price if you're flying in from overseas.

I checked out Expedia's prices for this same package, and it was in line with what the Luxor wants.

But, you have to figure that they're getting each package even cheaper, because they're going to get a special deal from the Luxor for sending these types of whales to their casino.

eg: Junket trips:

junket (jngkt)
n.
1. A dessert made from flavored milk and rennet.
2. A party, banquet, or outing.
3. A trip or tour, especially:
a. One taken by an official at public expense.
b. One taken by a person who is the guest of a business or agency seeking favor or patronage.

Thats right and if you live in Cairo then the airfare would be minimal. The only way to be sure of a fair valuation is for the player to see the full itinerary. Without seeing this before play would be unwise. Trying to work out the figures to guage the value of their offer, without seeing the true cost of this trip is pointless.

The devil is in the detail as they say, problem is where is the detail. T&C's probably go on forever as well for this.
