Shark Casino: "Multihand VP is not considered Video Poker"

I played one of their holiday video poker bonuses, which was labeled for play on Video Poker. I won money off of it and requested several cashouts. I sent in my id, a bill, and the form they wanted me to fill out.

I logged into my account several days ago to see the cashouts were declined. When I asked their live support why, the answer I got is attached....

So he went on to claim that somewhere in the T&C it says that multihand video poker is not considered video poker, even though he could not show me where it was.

Since Video Poker is a category of game (even one listed directly in their software) and never refers to single line, this is an obvious attempt to seize my rightfully earned winnings. I played no games besides single line and multiline video poker, and I am entitled to my winnings.

What should I do? How are these guys not rogued yet?

More shenanigans from yet another RTG licensee.

Again, the frequency and scope of these types of blatant attempts to rip off players at RTG sites is almost beyond description.

QUESTION: WHEN IS RTG GOING TO REMOVE THEIR CUMULATIVE HEADS FROM THE SAND AND START ACTING TO STOP THIS BS!!!!!

To the player: If this doesn't get resolved soon, you can PAB here with Bryan, and also try emailing www.hastingsbv.com which we have been told, will be setting up a "formal" dispute link in the near term (but I wouldn't hold my breath..)

Failing that, you should know that the ground swell of international players fed up with Realtime Gaming and their large stable of below board operators has reached almost epic proportions.

I'll keep you updated, but there should be a major "come-uppance" in late January for these folks if they don't get their s^&t in gear by then...

Good luck, and don't let Shark Casino screw you!

There's only one page that comes up via google by searching for "multihand"; and that's the 'winners' page. Obviously it's a rule they just made up.

Absolute classic!

"Oooh, sorry you can't play 9 line slots on that slots bonus - it's for 3 line only... Sorry about that!"

I can't believe this is as blatantly absurd as it seems. If it is the case, surely this casino should be rogued beyond all rogueness! Funny!

Hey, just when you thought the RTG licensees couldn't get any more bizarre, and this post was off the hook, get a load of this from a recent entry right here at Casinomeister from a new member "digkas":

Powerbet... is asking that I provide them with a greek utility bill that is in English.

That's odd, because most RTG casino PLAYERS think that their T&C's are greek to them!:D

OK, coupled with the "multi-line poker isn't really poker" BS from Shark, I reluctantly must agree that these two reasons even trump my own (and still unresolved for four + months...) incident with Crystal Palace.

One would think the execs at Realtime Gaming would be getting a tad concerned about their long term (or even short term) viability right about now. Since all online casinos that wish to do business in the United Kingdom are likely going to need to be formally "certified" by Fall 2007, I would gather the UK Gaming Commission won't be very willing to granting licenses to bad operators with a DOCUMENTED history of consistently screwing players.

Keep up the pressure!

VP

So, if the Shark terms for the sign-up exclude "Video Poker" I can still play the multi-line variants as these are not "Video Poker"

If anyone tries this, the excuses should be fun to read:D

Curious to see if the big P has enough courage to address this one..(hopefully the cs who advised that multihand vp wasnt vp was on drugs and is on his way out the door after a quicky pee test.) Man this is bad...

Man, this is about the level of fun I had last time I tried to use a coupon at Shark.

Now, at other casinos, I think I have seen one or two make distinctions between multihand VP and single VP. A couple times.

On Shark's website, I cannot find special rules mentioned for multi hand video poker. In fact, the only time I mentioned it at all is in a possibly out-of-date terms for the welcome bonus, where "Multi-Hand Video Poker/Video Poker" is listed along with other game types, including "Back Jack".

So, I would definitely call shenanigans on Shark. While they have meant to exclude MHVP (not sure why), they sure didn't write it down anywhere.

I agree. Would like to see where exclusion is written, for the sake of all others who have run into this. If it was somewhere, the CS should have been able to redirect to that spot. If it was a case of accidently dropping it from programming, its kind of like retail stores....honor your misprint until it is corrected...:)

I had almost excactly the same happening to me at Cocoa casino. The
T&C (in-game software T&C) only excluded multivideopoker and not videopoker.
This turned out to be a mistake though, but they just lifted the wagering requirement so I could cashout and changed the T&C.

For Shark casino I would not even play there if I was offered a 500% bonus.
The number of complaints I have read the last year only from Shark casino is amazing.

If noone plays there, they go out of business.

I'm pretty sure Bryan (The Casinomeister) has posted on the site here that it's helpful to contact the Casino Rep before posting all this stuff. I know the casino REP for Shark Casino quiet well and I also know he has no problem with looking into matters such as. So I think your best bet is to contact "Phynqster".

Have a good one.

I contacted the rep a few times about my issue and he hasn't responded once, despite being online here. So, no, it's not necessarily doing any good.

That is not good. If he's been here, he should at least have had the courtesy to reply to your PM.

Well its time for everyone to go back to work now, holidays are over so maybe he will show up. He could have been on vacation. I hope that is the case. Good luck to you Burrito...:)
