Seriously Need Your Guys Help Right Now

Hey everyone. A dear friend of mines partner went missing a few weeks ago, in the Ottawa River. He is a seasoned boater, and went to take his kayak out to test a new motor and hasn't been seen since. The Ottawa Police did a two day search and then called it off. The river is a huge and treacherous one, and chances are he hasn't survived. I called in a tactical search and rescue team last Friday. While they are a non profit, they rely on donations for accommodations and food while they are there searching. They have aviation, marine and search dogs. We need to bring Dave home so Jusy can start processing everything. Horrible situation.
I am in an off pay week but will be donating Friday. If anyone helps, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Yeah, I am not sure if @maxd OR @Casinomeister are aware of it yet.

Not to be morbid but is the search for a body cause clearly he is not alive after that amount if time sadly.

Hopefully they find him as must be awful losing someone and not having a body to bury.

Sorry. I've been busy getting things organized. I will update my op. Its donations through the GoFund me page and the money is being allocated to cover costs for the family and to pay the team for accommodations, food and travel. They are 7 hours away.

All donations are done through the GoFund me page posted. The money will be allocated to the team, and the family who have taken time off work etc.

The Ottawa River is so big and unkind, it could take years for his body to appear on it's own. That is why I called the tactical team in.

Was looking for help with donations, but the family has decided to call off the search and focus on what money is raised for after life services I don't need your guys help now. Thanks for allowing it though! <3

And it wasn't a dummy question. I've been really stressed out from this and wasn't clear in what I was asking in my post.

Thanks Linda. His daughter is starting to accept that he has probably demised. Judy hasn't reached that point and believes that he is stranded some where since his kayak has not been found. She is rightfully a basket case right now, sleeping on a stranger couch in their basement. I don't know how to help her. I want to shake her, hug her, cry for her ( which I've done) Why he went out when it was flooding is beyond me. Seasoned boater or not. That river is so dangerous and then add the flood on it. So many thoughts have gone through everyones mind. Especially since again......no kayak.

They found his kayak last night finally, but no body as of yet. This is where they found him. He didn't stand a chance, no matter how great of a boater he was. I don't understand why he even chanced it .....
