I don't know if comp points is really a bonus issue but I was playing at Betphoenix and I noticed my comp points don't seem to build very fast so checking out the Betphoenix system I noticed that it's 100 dollars to earn one point and 100 points to earn one dollar. That's a whopping 10k in wagers to earn a buck in comp points.

So I contacted the casino to ask if this was right because most Accredited RTG casino seems to be about 1 tenth of this rate at 10 bucks wagered per point and 100 points per dollar in comps.

I was talking to Otto and he seemed to think this was quite normal. During my conversation I opened up the promotions page of several different Accredited RTG casinos and pasted the terms and conditions of their comp systems into the chat box. my conversation then switched to Dean who actually seemed a little argumentative. He said they have the best system even though it takes 10x as many wagers to earn the same amount of comps.

This was the end of my conversation. I was actually starting to get a little annoyed with him. It says Otto but I was told it was now Dean. He kept saying Rushmore over and over. Are they the worst?

skiny: So far the worst one I've found in Casinomeister's accredited casino section is 5x more comp points per wager than betphoenix.

    Otto: Rushmore?

skiny: Haven't got that far yet.

skiny: As soon as you start playing for real money, you automatically earn Comp Points for your wagers. $10 in bets = 1 Comp Point 100 Points = $1.

    skiny: That's slotastic.

skiny: I don't think Rushmore is accredited anymore.

skiny: I think they were removed for slow payments or something.

skiny: King solomons doesn't say... Just says 100 points for a buck.

skiny: I'll have to contact them and ask.

    Otto: ?

    Otto: there you have it

    Otto: lol

    skiny: There I have what?

skiny: It doesn't say how much to earn a point.

skiny: Could be less, could be more.

skiny: I'd have to contact them and ask.

    skiny: This is grande vegas....

skiny: 2.Every time you wager $10 in bets, you earn 1 Comp Point, 100 Points = $1. (except for the newly released games where you can double your comps and only have to wager $5 in bets)

skiny: You noticed that pretty much everyone is 10 bucks per point?

skiny: And you're 100 bucks per point?

Otto: ok just spoke to a big one

Otto: every $500 in the account can cashout $1

    Otto: no max cashout

    skiny: What casino?

Otto: You have to be kidding me lol

    Otto: Terry

Otto: how come you have to do this to me

    skiny: Do what?

    Otto: rushmore

    skiny: Ok.

    skiny: Never mind.

skiny: I'm at Casinomeister anyway. I'll open a new thread.

    skiny: Have a nice night.

Otto: Thank you for chatting. Good Bye.

Chat session has been terminated by the site operator.

That was actually the second time he seemed to be shooing me away.

Anyway, What do you think of these RTG comp point systems? I've actually won money before playing my comps but at 10k per dollar in comps I think it might take a while to use them.

BetPhoenix has the worst comp program I have ever seen, bar none. I have played through over $15000 and my comp value was under $2. After depositing hundreds of dollars, one would hope to be treated better. This casino does not care about it's customers....like we should be surprised. It's getting pretty typical these days.

I've played at this casino for a while and talked to several staff members. I've never got the feeling they didn't care about their customers. I know they've talked to other customers about deposit bonuses and played around with them trying to find something that works for us and them. And keep in mind this is the casino that called me the day after I submitted my withdrawal asking if I wanted to change methods so I could have the money that day instead of a week later. So far I like this casino. I just couldn't believe how bad their comp system is. Earning comp points 10x slower than most of the others I've checked is pretty harsh.

Well, maybe saying they don't care about customers was a bit harsh, but the comp system leaves me feeling ripped off, I guess. It's difficult enough, then getting so small comps is a bit of a slap.

    Hi Guys and Gals,

I'll look into this to see if we can improve it somewhat.

Having said that, we aren't aiming to copy other RTG casinos. For regular players, we aim to offer very high bonuses and constant free chips.

So it would be a tad unfair to compare a casino like King Solomons, which offers a 100% reload once a month or Grande Vegas Casino which offers 77% monthly reload, to our casino where we offer 500%+ reload bonuses constantly. We will never be able to offer the same comp points as those casinos while offering 5-10x the amount of bonus money (which accumulates comp points).

Having said that, I'll look into making our regular comp point program more generous.

    Kind Regards,

Nicolas, where are these free chips? I've been depositing several times now and never hit the playthrough of a bonus. ;)

Sam: constant free chips does not mean we are going to be crediting any given account with free money every now and then

Sam: offering free chips is a marketing strategy, therefore, constant means that free chips will be available to new accounts upon sign up

What if you don't like to take deposit bonuses?
How does free chips for new accounts help not earning comp points?

PM me your account username. I'll get you something when I come in on Monday.

For players that don't take deposit bonuses, we can give them more comp points. Also, we give free chips not only to sign ups. But this is given on a player by player basis; we take care of our players. Or do you feel you haven't been taken care of? If this is the case, please PM me, I'll make sure you are taken care of.

If a player has deposited, not taken bonuses, etc and has not received free chips or extra comps or anything, I'd very much like to know about this. But I'm quite sure it isn't happening.

Again, your suggestion to be more generous with comps will be taken into consideration. We value your input. However, you can't expect to receive the same comps with a casino that offers 77% reload then with one that offers 650% reload.

I don't really keep track dollar per dollar how much i earn in comps....but it seems like they accumulate VERY slow at the Rushmore group.....and about the same at the Club World group. I cannot comment on Bet Phoenix as I haven't played there yet beyond the welcome chip.

The best comp point conversion ratio is definately Casino33....I don't know what their exact formula is....I do know that you earn the same comps you do playing bj/vp as you do playing slots. And they add up really fast. Even on a smallish deposit of say $50 its not uncommon to play for a few hours and earn $10 in comps. That being said, they BY FAR have the WORST comp point program that its almost laughable. Minimum you can redeem is $5 at a time....MAXIMUM you can redeem at a time is $20. And they have a max cashout of 5 times the comp points redeemed. AND for a final kicker.....30x playthru, 70x if playing bj/vp:eek:

I checked with Casino33 and their comp system definitely is not generous! Its only the standard 0.1% plus all the extra max cashout, wagering stuff

And betphoenix- if you can't afford proper comps, get rid of them completely. They're an insult not an incentive as it stands.

In essence, you are penalizing players that play without bonuses.....but in any case, I'm glad to see you're looking into it :)

I'll tell you what is an insult. I have been praising this casino right from day one. When the cashier didn't have any withdrawal options I told people just to contact support. When the servers were down over and over I told the people I know just to be patient. I talked to support many times over about ways to improve the lobby, the bonuses and many other things. I didn't even complain when I was interupted by a telephone call from the casino telling me about deposit bonuses. I've always felt that if I decided to gamble I would log on and check the bonuses or I can read about them in emails. I don't need all the casinos I have played at calling me to tell me about a new deposit bonus. I even made a 3D animated version of their logo just because I thought it would look cool and handed it to them for free. "Just take it. Use it if you like." I have had many friendly conversations with the staff at this casino and before I noticed how slowly my comp points were building, the last conversation was about RTG games in general and how the games just don't pay out like they used to. It was in pm and I thought it was quite friendly. We were laughing and talking about games. I didn't think it was a big deal.
Then I started this thread. After Nicholas' answers I wanted to clarify some of them so I contacted Sam in pm. 15 minutes later my account was closed. I was not rude. I wasn't even my usual sarcastic self. Sam genuinely didn't seem to appreciate me questioning their bonus system.
skiny: Ok. I updated nicholas's thread with new questions at casinomeister.

skiny: "what if you don't like to take deposit bonuses?"

skiny: "How does giving free chips to new accounts help not earning comp points?"

skiny: If he doesn't check back maybe you can ask someone to come answer them. :)

Sam: and what exactly would your point be asking those questions Terry?

    skiny: To get the answers?

    Sam: Ok Terry

    skiny: bye

Sam: you have always received first class attention in our casino

    skiny: Yes.

    Sam: first class, respectful attention

Sam: you have been paid on time

skiny: I mentioned in the thread that I liked your casino and the staff.

Sam: you have cashed out more money than you have deposited

skiny: I even mentioned several times that you went out of your way to pay me faster than you needed to.

Sam: yet, there is something you complain about

skiny: You have had all praise from me at Casinomeister.

Sam: something you say Ironic comments about

skiny: Yet I can't ask about the comp point system if I don't feel it's very generous?

Sam: I have read your comments, and that is not necessarily true

Sam: again, you have always received a fair deal at at BetPhoenix Casino

    skiny: I never said I didn't.

Sam: and yet, you always have something negative to say

skiny: Until I saw the comp point system.

    Sam: always

    skiny: Ok.

Sam: it's the same for everybody

Sam: therefore, and in order to avoid future disagreements

    skiny: Yes?

    skiny: This should be good.

Sam: I hereby terminate our business relationship

    skiny: You'll close my account?

Sam: your account is being closed

    skiny: Ok.

Sam: thank you for you business so far

skiny: Closing my account for asking about your comp point system?

    Sam: you can quote me

    Sam: no

    skiny: Yes.

skiny: The ONLY thing I did was ask about your comp point system.

Sam: we are closing your account due to your constant harassment

skiny: You don't want your customers questioning the casino.

skiny: I don't care. I now see what kind of casino this really is.

Sam: there is nothing we should be questioned for

skiny: I'll quote you on that too.

skiny: Betphoenix shouldn't be questioned for anything.

    skiny: Keep going.

Sam: fast payouts, excellent service, good bonuses

    Sam: period

Sam: I'm terribly sorry, but based on the above statements, your account is being closed

Sam: thanks again for your business

    Sam: have a pleasant day

I have no idea what this guy was even talking about. They've contacted me more than I ever contacted them. I'd swear this guy was on drugs the way he was talking. So I contacted Nicholas to see what his take on it was. His answer was -

I wouldn't allow an account in our casino to be closed based solely on a forum posting (unless it was an extreme case of slander, which your post was clearly not). In fact, posting at a forum is something we shouldn't take into consideration at all. If we ban, or don't ban an account, we simply must do so from a responsible business perspective. And this is why your account was closed.

So apparently closing my account was done so from a responsible business perspective. Whatever the hell that means. Well, they certainly won't get anymore praise from me. Bloody stuck up bunch if you ask me.

Well i don't see anything in your posts that would justify them closing your account.

The business perspective it seems they are taking is that you have won more than your deposits there for you are not good for the casino. This is based on sam carrying on about how they have treated you.

Sam: you have cashed out more money than you have deposited.

Was there not another casino who did this?

Edit: Retract my above statement as Nicholas has provided more info. saying that I still don't see why this players account was closed due to forum posts, i guess theres more to the story.

    Cheers Matt

This is sooooo ridiculous! I dont care what they say they are miffed that you brought to light their ridiculous comp system. I for one had no clue and neither did a few others....you cost them some business (and rightly so) thats why they did it. Someone even told them to close their account right in the thread....guess what? they can close mine as well :D If they think for a second I'd buy the "business" reason....dream on....they are not fooling anyone.

If you're talking about another casino closing my account, the answer is yes. But that was entirely different. I was not suprised by the other casino closing my account. We had our share of disagreements and I issues that weren't going to be resolved anyway. I was only upset that it was done in a public announcment. (Which I never received an apology for.)

This was entirely different. I'm sure I've spoken negatively on occasion in private because... well, because I gotta be me. But I've given them a thouand times the praise in private and public and have gone out of my way to bring them new clients and help them with other issues.

The reality is I don't even care anymore. Gambling is supposed to be fun and having to deal with casinos that stall payments and other casinos that make the games bankrupt you before you can finish your coffee and now casinos that kick you to the curb out of the blue for asking simple questions have just sucked all the fun out of this form of entertainment. Keep it. I'll stick to Minesweeper. At least if I have a problem with that game Bill Gates isn't going to show up and remove my operating system.

We are going to put up a system for non-bonus players that will be very generous, thanks for pointing this out! We will improve thanks to you!

    Skiny, maybe there is a misunderstanding, but it seems you keep taking things out of context. We have a commitment to honesty and privacy, so we won't post the full chat transcripts and PMs but I can say that what is posted is only a tiny fraction of all the chats/PMs. The important part of that particular bit of conversation that you have made public, and the part that was clearly not out of context is;

This is the plain and simple truth, your account was closed due to constant harassment of our staff and actually something else. See even if you harassed us once in a while, threatened us, drilled our CS to try to get them to make a mistake, etc, we would understand. We know players get frustrated sometimes, we are very patient and would not ban an account for even the type of activity I just described. We have a pro-player approach.

The main reason your account has been terminated is we feel nothing we can do will ever satisfy you, so there is no sense in us having a further relationship.

As I told you via PM, and as Sam told you, and everyone else you have contacted here has told you: We wish you the best. I really do wish you the best and I'm grateful you tried us out. We just don't want you as a customer anymore.

This doesn't mean we don't want other members as customers. All our customers are treated honestly, respectfully, given great bonuses and service, and will be taken care of. Players that know me, know I will ensure that is the case. I wouldn't be working here if it wasn't.

    Kind Regards,
    Nicolas Johnson
    Bet Phoenix Casino Affiliate Manager

P.S. thank you skiny for your suggestions, they really are appreciated and we will likely improve thanks to them. But we can't have you as a customer just because you made a good suggestion. Your suggestions and your account are handled separately. It would be unprofessional of us to keep your account open due to a positive forum post, a suggestion or a 3d logo. As you quoted me saying, if we ban, or don't ban an account, we simply must do so from a responsible business perspective.

I guess if contacting you less often than you've contacted me and asking valid questions is considered harassment then you probably should close my account because I wouldn't be playing at your casino anyway. You can say anything you like but the reality is YOUR casino called me on the phone offering me deposit bonuses and then two or three days later I contact you about your comp point system and Sam closes my account. I know why it was closed. Because Sam was pissed that I had the nerve to question your casino. If there was another reason it would have been closed before I started this thread. You claim this is not the reason but the closing of my account was a direct result of starting this thread and then politely asking for clarification of your statements in private. I was never rude to you or Sam. I went out of my way for this casino and this is the thanks I got.

    Well..... You're welcome.
