Is in it sad to realize that Playtech was not Publicly traded one year ago??

Now RTG and Odds On are the only ones left.

How good are they? Would the become the new big guys in the Industry?
Are they planning on major software upgrades for the following months?
Don't you think this guys could be behind developers from Crytpo, MG and Playtech??

As far as I konw RTG is not as good as the ones backing off and Odds On left me a bad mouth taste after English Harbour major problems.

The fact is most US players will be looking for decent operations with these softwares... exciting times to come.

RTG has too many glitches but every once in a while you can hit a decent one. I played Robin Hood again today and this makes about the 50th, yes 50th time (in the last few months) I hit the bonus round and never made it to the next level as I used to before.

They have done something to this game just as they did to the other one when no free spins were given...and they are trying to hide it by changing the play on different games...thinking we don't know any different. If they keep this up, I will quit playing RTG's altogether knowing they are truly cheats in my heart to do this to these games arbitrarily.

Be careful playing these casinos...even knowing they allow US players..that makes them all the worse for trying to sneak in and change the play on these games, which in my opinion they are after the last few months play.

The English Harbour group is owned by a PLC, quoted in London.

it's only RTG really.

Re

I noticed the same thing on ronin. I can NEVER get the 25 free spins for last two months. Always the 3 spins or the 5 spins. I dont know if its just me,
or the same with everyone else.

So I am not the only one!

I have been playing the RTG casinos for about six weeks. They have changed dramatically within that time. 49er Casino which was my fav I can't hit a feature on anything! VIP Casino I had a good run then it just went cold. I have tried Club USA which I am playing in the Slot Junkies touney. Got one good hit out of that one.

No clue what is going on but all of my favs are as tight as can be now. I would love to hear from some RTG casino managers to find out what is going on! Cleopatra won't hit a feature period!

I am ashamed to say I have done the worst thing in my opinion one can do with online gambling. I have been chasing my losses figuring this was a fluke. Well it isn't in my opinion. The RTG casinos have tightened the purse strings! After all US players are now at their mercy.

I don't believe this is a very well-informed article. They were right about one thing, and that was that Odds On had a bad reputation for being unresponsive to players - example: Forty Plus Casino if you check the archives here at Casinomeister.

As the thelawnet observes, Odds On, which had closer links to EH group than it would admit, was part of the deal when Leisure and Gaming plc took over EH (if you check Casinomeister News archives you will find the full details on the various L&G acquisitions)

Odds On became Vegas Technologies under the overall L&G group.

More recently, following the American debacle, L&G sold off its US-facing business for a dollar. That included EH, and presumably Vegas Technologies in the sale to a private company called Stockdale founded by the ex-CEO of L&G Alistair Assheton.

Whilst it has potential, and has introduced several new games this year I honestly doubt that you could at present class Vegas T in the same category as RTG which has been around for some time and has a long list of licensees. You certainly wouldn't put it in the MGS or Cryptologic or even Playtech league.

Vegas T, assuming Stockdale wants to branch out beyond its own subsidiaries could pick up business by following the same model as RTG...but as many experts have observed, there are still many American developments ahead of the industry and for the forseeable future it is going to be an area for the bold and adventurous.

re

I also blew 2 grande this month trying to chase losses and nada.
All on RTG in two casinos playing almost daily. Its pretty bad when most of that was on nickle poker and still no hits! In two months of nearly daily play not even one 5oak on joker, nothing good at all:(( The ONLY game I could win anything at was pick-m poker with the ocasional 4oak and only on nickles. I use to have at least one cash out a week, have not made anything to cash out in two months. They can say everything is ok until they are blue, but I know its not. Not when I play daily.

I tried a casino tonight that has the same software as hype and was very impressed. I think I found my new format although not much variety, but at least I was winning for the first time in a LONG time.

Hi

If your interested in a kind of a short diary of my experience in an RTG, go look at my "FYI on I bet you bet" thread :) I had a good run with that one

Yeah - Just found out about them myself.

It is called InChilli casino. Has all the identical games (nothing new here). Has a nicer website, but the casino is the same. Just played for a bit.

I am trying to find out a little more about this casino (is it the same group, did another group purchase a skin, etc...)

Hope to have more info later.

No clue what is going on but all of my favs are as tight as can be now. I would love to hear from some RTG casino managers to find out what is going on! Cleopatra won't hit a feature period!
Didn't you hear?
An RTG spokesman has publicly admitted they've changed the games & are ripping everyone off...
NOT!

Sorry, but do you really expect them to admit anything has changed?

I've been having a cautious 'dabble' with RTG to see if they're back to 'normal'..
Did hit a few early bonus rounds on some, but nothing to sing about & I found the slot completely dried after:
Penguin Power; Feature on spin 80 paid HUGE $2.35 off a 20c spin, then 202 spins of crap.
Honey to the Bee; Stupidly stepped up my bets too quickly and totally blew out in 130 spins of total diarrhea.
Not only no bonus rounds, but crap-all else as well.
On this I wagered $110 & lost $71 = 35% payout...

Didn't you hear? An RTG spokesman has publicly admitted they've changed the games & are ripping everyone off...
Sadly, this, I am beginning to believe.....I wish they would fix BACK the darn games the way they used to be when it was fair and the bonus rounds were decent and hit in a decent amount of spins...now..they are on the bottom of my list to play ...if at all anymore...

same here

OMG

Penquin Power does nothing for me either and honey to the bee was good to me for awhile but I havnt gotten anything from that either. I got bonus rounds on most of them but yet have to seen a bonus round on Ronin and Ive never gotten three strawberries on fruit frenzy

The other ones have been pretty good for me, especially diamond dozen

I have a question for the players of the RTG slots, when I was working in the casino two years ago the only "Real Video Slot" was Cleo, and it seemed a lot of players were cashing out all of the time from the other slots. Since I have been back 1 month now it seems like 90% or more is put in the real series slots, and that I see customers almost always doubling and tripleing up, but not cashing out because they are going for the random Jack Pot win. So as players are you looking to win just a few bucks or risk everything for the big win?

Re

When I play I play the same most of the time. I will play $1.00 a spin.

Its sad when I can go through $200 bucks in a session without a bonus round, or when I ocassionaly get one, its for like a $5.00 win.

I play them because they use to be fun. Never play thinking I will hit a random. Fun factor has left the building though.

Ama

I play to cash out. The random Jackpot would be a bonus to any win and withdrawal I could make. If I can cashout 2 out of 5 sessions, I am satisfied...but lately it has been 0 out of 10 or more sessions before being able make enough to withdraw or even a worthwhile hit for win (doubling up deposit or better, don't use deposit bonuses).

Bonuse sessions have become almost non-existant and when one is hit, it seems as if the next level is blocked now... and the win is a mere 5-10x your bet. Thats pretty sad on 15 free spin feature IMO. I think Hype will be my new home for a while since the payouts are better and the win/loss ratio is very good for me.

RTG

Me personally

I dont play for the big win. I play for fun and hope to get a couple of hundred. i just cashed out for $300 on ibetyoubet. I never go over a $1 and refuse to lose more than $50 at one time. I havnt played all day because I lost $50 this morning. I may put in $20 later on tonight. Its either gonna be a good day or not. I never say to myself "maybe the next spin will do it" it never does. If it's gonna be loose, it's gonna be loose from jump street in my opinion

This goes for real casinos too. If i lose right away, Ill go to my room or go shopping for awhile

I can understand where most of you are coming from, and this next question will be controversial but will as any way. Current consensus for the most part is not to take a bonus, because of restrictions and max pay outs. But if you are looking for just a longer lasting fun time what is wrong with taking a big bonus with big play through and a 10x max cash out.

RTG Psychology

I play to win of course. Win what you might ask? Anything that comes my way. I don't play for the Random Jackpot normally but when they get up into the 15k range I set it for a $.20/spin bet and let it run. It is amazing how much you can win doing that. I hit the feature on Ronin four times last night at BoDog attempting their 25k Random Jackpot. For my $.20 that one spin lasted a very long time and I realized over $50.00. I eventually gave up and cashed out $300.00. My initial deposit was $100.00.

I never play with a bonus now. When I did I seldom cashed anything out. This way when I make a big hit and I do I just cash that out leaving seed money to continue playing.

Everyone is absolutely correct the RTG casinos have tightened up. Cleo is a good example. That one was always a good bet. Now I can't hit a feature in 100 spins. Very disappointing. I would love to see the odds now and the odds from two months ago published by each and ever casino for every game.

what is wrong with taking a big bonus with big play through and a 10x max cash out.
You aren't really serious about this question, are you?

Well, lets put it this way if you are...lets break it down...

Big bonus= rejection of cashout on wins for any minor or percieved misinterpretations of T&C's

Big play through = no play at all for if you can't win playing with your own funds, what makes you think you can even scratch the surface of the WR with a bonus to boot?

10x max cashout= no cashout at all, for if I hit a good run, which has become seldom to nil lately...I want to be able to cash out at any given time and not have to be ruled by the casinos whims.

Not one of these items makes any sense at all..why not just send the check to the casino and call it a donation, and let them do what they will with it when this is the T&C's for a bonus..for one never clears the WR at RTG's anymore.

why I dont take a bonus

Yes, your right I play for fun but....let's say I take the bonus and hit for $200 right away. You know darn well, Ill play it before I get to cash it out. This way, if I just play my own money and happen to hit the very first time, I can w/d some of it and play the rest :)

It took me forever to get that 32vegas bonus because I was mostly playing with their money. I had to play like 2 or 3 days to w/d. I dont like that

Don't get me wrong. I am not pushing for bonus or non bonus, just wondering more about the people who just want to get a few hours of enjoyment rather than a few minutes. Actually when I have played, I would only take a no max withdrawal bonus if I was playing a game with a jack pot. If it was a game like black jack I do not mind the max cash out, because my balance does not have a chance to jump a huge amount on just one hand, like can happen in slots or video poker and such, or deposit enough that it does not matter if you only get 10 times your deposit.

As opposed to playing at the casino without a bonus ... why not just send the check to the casino and call it a donation?

Bonuses are profitable for some, and at worst, prolong the inevitable for others.

Though 10x max cashouts do suck for games with high variance.

Well that would suit me as I NEVER expect to hit a random JP, and I would consider 10x my deposit as a VERY good result!

However as others have said, the problem here is that with RTG's new tighter slots it doesn't matter how big the bonus is - it's just prolonging the agony and making you watch even more spins of total crap.
You might as well play in 'fun mode' - not that it would be much fun if they play the same....
Come to think of it, you might as well nail your own head to a coffee table - that would be more exciting! :D

the people who just want to get a few hours of enjoyment rather than a few minutes
Good grief..a bonus only adds a few more MINUTES nowadays so whats the point, you either are going
to hit a nice win and quickly withdraw (which I do so I can restart again and still have a few dollars for later ) or you are going to go down fast regardless of a bonus and the worst of it is, if you do hit a nice win, say deposit $100 and win $500 within a few minutes and you took a bonus you have to play out the WR and end up broke because of the tightness of these casinos lately and these wins come VERY SELDOM.
it's just prolonging the agony and making you watch even more spins of total crap.
Totally agree here!

Yes, but I don't think in the long run they are worth the time and effort you have to put in, personally.
I had to play like 2 or 3 days to w/d, I dont like that
And babs7262 said it perfectly...for once it becomes a CHORE, it is no longer FUN.

Bonuses are not for me...

Today is a great example of why I don't take bonuses any longer. I just hit for the first time in a while for me two nice payouts of over $600 each. I was able to cash out right away without worrying if I had a playthrough.

Each time I have played with a bonus and hit anything decent I used it up in trying to meet the T&C of the bonus. Just not worth it to me anymore. I wonder if they will start adding bonuses automatically to our balances to make us take them.

On the other hand...

What is going on with VIP Casino! I had won some as my previous post indicated and figured I would try out my other favorite, VIP Casino.

I played through over $600.00 and hit only two features on Raindance. I won 10 free spins each time. Only one free spin hit anything. I played Aztec and Cleo without once hitting a feature or much of anything.

In the past week I have lost over 3k at VIP. You would think I would get a clue. LOL... Obviously I am an optimist. I keep thinking the tide will turn with VIP but I am now beginning to wonder.

I emailed the manager asking about this. Will let you know what she says. I did mention I realize we lose when we gamble. It is I expect to win a bit along the way so it lasts a while. I kept depositing figuring something would happen. Well silly ole me! :barf:

I would like to put an offer out there to any one interested. I will fill there account with as much funds as needed. They play any of the games as much as possible and keep notes of the pay outs and at what denominations. This could be done in fun mode, but than people would say that fun mode is different. The player would not be depositing so could not cash out. This is for fun only, but I am willing to see how close the payouts follow what is ecpected return. The only restricted games would be the system wide progressives. If anyone wants to take look please contact me. Would be fine if people concentrated on one paticular machine at a time so we could get a more accurate reporting.

Send me account details and I will fund the account. I am not twisting arms! I just am curious. I would love to know if there is a problem, and I will be the first to demand answers from RTG. And after seeing the report RTG sent me on fruit frenzy, I know there can be problems, but they kept accurate numbers of eaxactly how much was held(cheated) from customers incorrectly

Ronin Results

Ok, played $5,000 in credits just on Ronin on Real money play. I played 200 spins per each denomination. I went over on accident on the spins on two of them, but will post all results. I wrote down every win and loss. I wrote down each trigger I got. I have to say no malfunction on ronin from this play. I got the 25 free spin triggers a few times that I could not hit at the other two places I play even in free mode for the life of me.

Anyway , here are my results in the order I played:

I would be willing to have a go - which casino are you with?

I played at phynqster's Casino with the offer and here is what I have found...and thank you phynqster  for giving me that opportunity to do so. My breakdown is not as good as amatrine's but I guess I will give it a shot...

Played: Ceasars for 30 minutes

Starting balance $500 Played $2.00 @ 75 spins 0 Bonus

Starting balance $460 Upped it to $5.00 @ 16 spins hit bonus for $370.00

Starting Balance $835 $5 a spin hit bonus in 44 spins for 83.50

Starting balance $809 $5 a spin 0 bunus in 100 spins

Went to Robin Hood:

Starting Balance $737 $2 a spin for 27 spins hit bonus round for $35.60

Starting balance 724 upped it to $5 a spin for 100 spins 0 bonus

All in all it was a good playing session and I ended up depositing my own funds after forcing myself to lose the balance of theeir money because I did like the length of play it gave for the funds invested.

Here is the kicker!

Deposited again and withdrew $500 after hitting a few good bonus rounds.

Definitely like this casino! Thanks again for letting me test drive it in real mode!

Re

Yeah I got to say I played the poker and it was the first time in a long time I got some play time:) They ought to consider taking instadebit over there as that is my primary way to fund.

Congratulations on the win. It will go out Monday.

I did not do this to get depositers or advertise the casino, this was done just to see how tight or loose the slots are. So far they seem to be right around suggested pay out rates. One thing I would like to point out is that I have been at a number of different RTG casinos, so any thing I say I only know from those sites. Every casino is set the same as far as random number generator goes. So you can not have one casino loose and another one tight. Each individual casino can set there slots to a specific set payout amount, usually ranging from like 98% to 95% but that is it.

Thanks for allowing some CM members to test the slots Phynqster - a good idea and there should be more of it.

I was a little concerned about this though:

Each individual casino can set there slots to a specific set payout amount, usually ranging from like 98% to 95% but that is it.

So, it IS possible for RTG casinos to change their payouts.....but you said it they cant make then tighter or looser. Is there a difference? Is there a minimum % amount set by RTG themselves or can a casino make them pay 90% if they want?

Not trying to make things difficult for you, just wanted some clarification.

Gotta say though - if an operator can adjust the slot payouts at will then it doesnt instill much confidence in the player.

:)

Every slot is set differently. As an example one slot may be set at either 98.5, 97.7, 96.5 or 94.5 % . The casino has the ability to pick and choose which payout % to go with. Not unlike las Vegas where they set machines near registration and escalators and resteraunts at a different rate than on the general floor. On the preset pay out % they are never more than a few % points between them.

Raindance results

I first started testing simply counting the number of features hit within the course of 300 spins and the number of hits within the feature. This I did with different bet denominations. I tested Raindance. Here are those results:

$.20/spin hit 4 features; out of 40 free spins hit 22 payouts
$.40/spin hit 4 features; out of 45 free spins hit 21 payouts
$2.00/spin hit 3 features; out of 30 free spins hit 12 payouts
$5.00/spin hit 0 features
$20.00/spin hit 2 features; out of 20 free spins hit 3 payouts
$100.00/spin hit 3 features; out of 30 free spins hit 7 payouts

I then simply wanted to see what my win/loss ratio would be so I set up 500 spins at different denominations. Recording the beginning amount and the ending amount. Here are those results:

$2.00/spin $5063.88 - 4732.18 = -$331.70
$5.00/spin $4732.18 - 4331.68 = -$400.50
$10.00/spin $4331.68 - 3806.68 = -$525.00
$.20/spin $3806.68 - 3853.40 = +$46.72
$100.00/spin $3853.40 - 1778.40 = -$2075.00
$.40/spin $1778.40 - 1754.86 = -$23.54

Then I decided to spin in 10 spin increments and record when the features were triggered. Here are those results:

$2.00/spin total of 100 spins
$5014.86
$5029.06
$5034.46
$5017.86
$5013.46 3rd spin received a respin only
$5005.83 6th spin received a respin only
$4988.16
$4990.56
$4973.06
$4960.06
$4950.46

I was getting tired of Raindance so took a quick look at Aztec. Here are those results.

$2.00/spin total of 100 spins
$4950.46 beginning balance
$4847.46 ending balance

I hit no features in 100 spins on Aztec.

Thanks for letting me do this. It was interesting.

Gave phynqster's offer a go today and began with $2000 (thanks!). Played Aztec Treasure only and here is play:

Began with 2k ended with 1981.83 after 200 spins at 0.20/spin. 1 bonus round for 2.37

Upped next 200 spins to 0.40/spin and ended with 1973.93. 2 bonus rounds of 9.92 and 2.04

Next 200 spins were at 1.00/spin. One bonus round for 196.25 and ended at 1951.10

Upped to 10.00/spin and no bonus rounds after 100 spins. Tanked to 1332.18

Tried the 100/spin and bombed out after 34 spins, no bonus rounds.

Thanks for the memory Phynqster! ;)
