Besides seeing this thread almost slipping into another "heated" argument
, there is some sage advice here.
The moderators and I will respond to "report a post" alerts, and sometimes will step in on our own (it's tough to know when and where the fires start
), but we are not forum-nannies. Please do not expect this from us.
The members in Casinomeister's forum come from all walks of life with ages ranging from late teens to 70's. Some wealthy - some poor, some high brow, some low brow. I'd guess 40% non-native speakers with a wide range of communicative skill.
Most of us have certain relationships with this industry; many of these relationships conflict with each other. So yeah, you're going to have some level of confrontation. It's strictly up to you on how you are going to deal with it.
What's important is to treat others as you wish to be treated. If someone gets you riled up, walk away from it and come back later. Whatever you do - don't lose sleep over it or let it make you yell at the kids or kick the dog.
Dealing with adversity: we're all people with families, lives, and hobbies beyond the forum, and it's harder to be aggressive towards people you can relate to. Try to let your "opponent" see the human in you, and it will make you less of a target.
And maybe we can have finally have that "love-in"

Bye! BTW - Sneed I love to read your posts but the last 2 were disappointing, JMO.
) every now and again to remind members that this forum is about hopefully balanced exchanges of useful information and opinion rather than flame wars and snide historical agendas.
