PANHANDLING AT 3DICE??

I wasn't going to say anything as this particular topic gets me riled up.

This used to happen a lot in online poker rooms... gives me the shivvers... 'I just need $5 for a tourney' sort of thing. And it would come from people who weren't even in that particular game -- they'd just pop in (as an observer) and start hitting up strangers for chips.

It even happens at B&M casinos. I hit $200 (big deal ) on a quarter slot and this guy comes up and starts whining about not having money for a bus ride home or some such crap. (Then what's he doing at the casino in the first place??)

Mousey's tip of the day: Don't ask for money for gambling (or for 'food' or 'gasoline' if you've gambled your money away), and don't give it to 'em if they do ask. And just a suggestion... any panhandling -- whether via PM or whatever -- should be reported to the board/chat/casino operator.

I was thinking the same thing I play @ Poker Stars and these observers will come out of the wood work begging for a dollar - I would just shut my chat off. I don't know where people get the nerve to ask people at random for money.

I think asking for a free chip from a casino that you have played and deposited a lot of money to is one thing and I find perfectly warrented, but asking someone you dont know or will ever meet for money because they have won money or notice they have a good heart and have gave money to others is just wrong. Just my opinion

Wow!!Guys... I just logged on and was shocked to see that this thread is growing and growing...

What an awesome debate and show of participation! But... to be honest I think this can go back and forth until the end of eternity.

I do agree with Justplay and Babs! I don't think it should say "someone won $$ playing ___ " in red accross chat.
first off, It shows everyone in 3dice chat world there is a real money player winning AND it shows what they are winning ON (a big deterent to me with a particular game that has just paid out.. when and if I get to real $ play)(yes, yes...I know that is the purpose,.. but .. this info could also be posted in the forum, or on a "news tab" at the cashier)
OR better yet!!
how about a "Someone Won updates BOT tab"!! Seriously .. those who "want to know" can look.. just no real names and no real screen names and those who don't want to know recent winners and the game... can be spared.

Either way.. No begging.. 3dice is great with all the tourneys, et all..
and the winners have been more than gracious.

I just wanted to say thanks to 3Dice for the daily tournaments. I don't play them often and have never won a tournament but it's a great option sometimes. Unfortunately freebies bring out the casino whoring crowd. It was somewhat overdue for 3Dice to draw the line.

On a related matter I for one hope that the "way too sweet" threads about 3Dice will decrease because this player sees them as just a different form of panhandling.

I can assure you if i post on a 3 Dice thread it is NOT to try to get freebies. I just happen to think 3 Dice is a great casino and i believe most others here feel the same way.

You just never saw it because it doesnt happen frequently.

I always say nice things and I can assure and your even welcome to ask them. I dont panhandle or ask for money from them for writing nice things. I like to pay my own way and win with my own deposits. Ill get a bonus for other reasons here and there just like everyone else like a surprise bonus or whatever contest they may have

A "real $$ win does show up in chat" and so does the tourney win.
But doesn't it say (in bright red...) "Someone won $ xxxx.xx playing Squirrell Pike, WTG someone" ... or something like that.

I thought it also said the game that hit! .. and yes it seemed to show up alot more often during October 2007 through December 2007.. but then the frequency of seeing it, seemed to fizzle out! IMHO..

oh well... still gl e1, whatever and where ever you play!

Me too. I wont get freebies from 3 Dice because I dont even play there. I deposited once but couldnt play because the images were very blurred and didnt even try to get it solved due to my impatience for these sort of things. However, from Enzo's willingness in getting all issues solved together with comments from a wide spectrum here at CM, it is definitely true that 3 Dice is great.

Don't get defensive. I didn't say that any 3Dice compliment = panhandling. But you would have to be quite naive to believe certain posts are made without an agenda.

What agenda are you speaking of? LOL Rob....I didnt mean it to come out that way hahaha. You must admit, if they paid out $5K every other hour, they would lose money because of the casino size.

I think the problem here is that there are certain ppl that are not used to seeing alot of nice things being said about online casinos. Trust me, there are negative things too, just not as many as other casinos because they do things the right way there. They dont hide, they confront issues and help people. Is it so hard to think that there are good things in this world without agenda?

Well, I'm not ashamed to say that I definitely do have An Agenda here, and that is to take as much winnings as is humanly possible off of all the online casinos that I play at until I've upset their balance sheets so much that they will have to call their investors for an additional influx of cash in order to remain liquid...
