I wasn't going to say anything as this particular topic gets me riled up.
This used to happen a lot in online poker rooms... gives me the shivvers... 'I just need $5 for a tourney' sort of thing. And it would come from people who weren't even in that particular game -- they'd just pop in (as an observer) and start hitting up strangers for chips.
It even happens at B&M casinos. I hit $200 (big deal
) on a quarter slot and this guy comes up and starts whining about not having money for a bus ride home or some such crap. (Then what's he doing at the casino in the first place??)
Mousey's tip of the day: Don't ask for money for gambling (or for 'food' or 'gasoline' if you've gambled your money away), and don't give it to 'em if they do ask. And just a suggestion... any panhandling -- whether via PM or whatever -- should be reported to the board/chat/casino operator.
