Best of 4 years President Trump, enjoy!
At a guess I would say theres going to be a bit of a difference when/if the current lodger in the Whitehouse has to leave, he's going to go to court and claim squatters rights if he cant get the democratic result of the election overturned.

Why is this expected? Seriously, enlighten me. In the past days Bannon said that Trump should behead Dr. Fauci, the Trump supporters had t-shirts that literally said "fuck your feelings" and they've been "owning libs" for 4 years.
So again, why should the Democrat side be civil towards those kind of people? Maybe if they apologise for their behaviour one could contemplate it.

Really?..
Thought it was the division and intolerance etc You dems wanted to stop?
So now you won you turn into all you hated in the first place...
Makes perfect sense.
Because we should rise above it and be better
People who are miserable will try to bring others down - misery loves company.
Be positive, maybe example will rub off![]()
you cant stamp out hateI'm not a Democrat, far from.
What I'm simply asking is why this is expected? Even while Trump supporters are still attacking Democrat supporters at this time. I'd say if the Trumpists stop attacking the D's on TV/Twitter/FB/wherever you could show kindness towards them. But die hards like Bannon, Stone, Gingrich are still spouting hate everywhere.
or at least make it sting a little bit
dont lend them any more poweryou cant stamp out hate
but you might be able to kill it with kindnessor at least make it sting a little bit
dont lend them any more power
No, youre right, but as you say, if they arent likely to change, then expending any negative energy is a waste of time. You can be kind all you want towards the die hards, they won't change. Do you really think that showering Bannon or Alex Jones with kindness is going to change them? Sadly I'm afraid Trumpism is here to stay and someone will run on that in 2024. They might not look or sound like Trump but the message will be the same.

Kindness is free
I had a friend last night (a Trumpster) PMing raging on for like an hour about the riggedness and the theories etc.
I mostly responded with the likes of, well, I suppose we can wait and see, I'm sure it will all come to light.
When I wouldnt engage and battle, he toddled off
No amount of intelligent debate or discussion would have changed his mind; so figured, 0 point me being miserable as well

Apologies, I read your post to fast.I'm not a Democrat, far from.

What would you describe as ‘trumpism’You can be kind all you want towards the die hards, they won't change. But not all that where on the red team where the racist bigots they are made out to be.What we've seen the past 4 years: nationalism and division mostly based on rumours and conspiracy theories. No ability to reach across the aisle to work together, demonizing everyone else that disagrees (even people from your own party like he did with John McCain),...
I don't really have a definition for it but those are the bullet points.
I would describe it as lying through your teeth, never taking responsibility for your actions, not giving a f@@k about anyone else except for your cronies, never admitting you are wrong, never listening to people who know better, and being the bestest ever at spitting your dummy out. What we've seen the past 4 years: nationalism and division mostly based on rumours and conspiracy theories. Also nothing at all wrong with nationalism, to have pride is very far removed from anything unsavoury.

What’s so wrong with that? Not all of them are, that's correct.
Nothing wrong with patriotism, nationalism on the other side...![]()

Many types of nationalism. In a connected and global world it's never a great idea to isolate yourself from the rest of the world.
Many types of nationalism.
Also it can be confused with patriotism which is very different.
I think nationalism when supported in a healthy way personally isn’t a bad thing.
This ain’t going to be popular, all safe spaces opened!..Patriotism is being proud of your country and what it stands for, nationalism means you see your country as being superior and don't need anyone or anything.
I believe in working together towards a better world rather than countries working on their own to try and beat eachother, or worse.
Not even talking about other forms of nationalism right now.
This ain’t going to be popular, all safe spaces opened!..
Some countries are superior to others, in many many ways.
Naturally, all the major players are sufficiently backed by ‘ the big boys ‘ so to speak. They might be, doesn't mean they should isolate themselves and think they don't need anyone. When push comes to shove and they do need someone the other side has to be the "bigger man" again?
Some countries are better than others, just like cultures for example.
Nothing bad in saying that, it’s being honest.
It becomes a problem when you treat others differently because of it personally.
Your in Finland is it mate?I really don't think like this but....
I'll say that my country is better than your country Playford. What do you say about it? And we do have superior culture too! Maybe you should stop being the UK and become our vassal state.
Your in Finland is it mate?
I’d rather bring my daughter up in Finland than the U.K.Yup!
I’d rather bring my daughter up in Finland than the U.K.
Make of that what you will.
Beautiful place.

As I said some countries and cultures are better than others, I’m glad you agree mate.Well that was easy
Buuuuut! Would be boring if all people were like finnish people with finnish culture etc.
As I said some countries and cultures are better than others, I’m glad you agree mate.
Some places and countries you would have nothing to learn from as they are in the dark ages and never and won’t evolve sadly, same as some cultures.I don't agree sorry! Especially with culture. I mean how can some culture be superior to some other? Makes absolutely no sense to me.
In my opinion sure countries can improve themselves by learning from different countries. But if all countries were just...Finland. We'd have no one to learn from. Hard to improve things when lacking different viewpoints.

It’s a great thing we are all different and not equal, in a way that kind of diversity works.
Absolutely, fair comment. All countries evolve somehow. Nothing stays the same. Your country and your culture will change too...there's no stopping it.
Finland changed quite a bit in a very short time too! Who knows what the future brings.
