I think the system in Usa is insane. People going into debt for the rest of their lives, or even dying because they cannot afford to go to the hospital.
I see Americans talk about this on reddit quite often, either they live abroad, or had an accident while on a trip. Its like they cant believe their life was not ruined by debt because of an accident.

I think in general people in the uk always felt the swedes had a superior quality of life [I certainly believed that, for the last 25 years] but recently it seems the 'identity politics' bug has begun to badly infect your politicians and powers that be, and things are being artificially changed in swedish society.

The people, mostly kind, are going along with it thinking it to be the virtuous path to tread, but you could be undermining the cohesion of your traditional society and storing up problems for later on.

I think sweden could've just kept the way they were, and tweaked a few things if necessary, but I guess you had to be 'brought into line' and pushed further left in the direction of identity politics. You were too homogenous for the politically correct brigade.

The thing about atheism is tho.. There are like 3000 gods and deitys in the world that people belive in or worship.
I dont believe in any of them, and you dont believe in 2999 of the 3000.

We got fed up being ruled by Sweden and Russia. Something had to be done. So we started to develod a reasonably easy to learn language in the middle ages which is extremely useful all over the world.

But we just can't ditch swedish totally. It's an official language here after all. Most university degrees still require mandatory swedish courses. I had to study swedish for 2 years when I was in law school.

Organised religion and state should be separated. Modern societies are capable of having a decent moral system which is not based on religious beliefs. Once you mix any kind of religion into governing of people it mostly just leads to problems.

I mean the whole pc culture. For example, the first I heard of toxic masculinity was a few months ago and the special public bathroom for trangenders is really something new here. So I don't know where it starts from but its hard to believe its from the USA.

You cant base your view on the entire swedish population on what a couple crazy people do.

No I said it a few times, it'll be small to start off with, to avoid generating public resistance, then gradually rolled out everywhere by the next 10 years. Wherever western europe goes on gender neutral early childhood; uk, germany, france, holland etc...sweden will be in line with that or maybe even further ahead.

Why is atheism so popular in sweden then? Do you prefer the norse old religions etc.. [wikipedia says the level of legally registered christians is 69% ?]

That's what I was saying, sweden was renowned for a high standard of living; good education and health, low crime and unemployment. So nothing really needed changing. But I love how people arguing my points have to slip in the odd character attack or cast aspersions. I'm confident in my view that something/changes are 'afoot' and the majority of the public never requested these changes...

The thing is that humanity is getting more knowledge about different things. Some countries are making an effort to make all people feel comfortable/happy. It's good to try and see what works and what doesn't. There's starting to be surprisingly big number of transsexual people for example and I'm happy that they can be whatever they really feel inside etc.
Why would you even care if there are women soldiers or atheists or whatever? I'm sure they don't have any affect to your own life. Just let them be whatever they feel like being as long as they don't hurt others.

Otherwise, it might have went something like:

"why you no beleive God?"
"because i don't "
"well, thanks for coming on the show!"

I would watch that.
But for real, its bullshit trying to portray atheists like some crazy people that have no moral values.
I mean, i, just like most atheists believe and live by what is basically the ten commandments.

Its not hard. What they say is basically "dont be a dick". And i can manage that (for the most time) without belief in a higher power.

Im a legal registered christian, and so are alot of atheists.
You end up in that registry when you get baptised, and thats how they get ya!
You can be taken of that registry, but it requires sending a letter.
I think its like an email, but in real life or something. Anyway, its to much work, since it wont change anything for me. =)

I have nothing against any religion, personally i dont really care what other people believe or not believe in, as long as they are not trying to impose their beliefs on me.
