No More Guts, Thrills, Betspin Etc For Aussies

Thanks for that but how long for?

Will they let us go as well eventually?

I don't want to sign up to new casinos unless I know I can play there for a long time.

House of Jack has been pretty good and pay fast as well, verification was quick and easy too.

Casino Mate is also good but a bit slow with withdrawal as they have 24hour pending but after that its quick. :)

I contacted them and asked the same question and their answer was that they will continue to accept Australian players. My suggestion would be to stick with House of Jack because it's working for you but keep your options open for the future if the shite hits the fan.

Do Codeta have a rep on Casinomeister?...I'm pretty sure that they do.

The List is growing ominously longer

InstaCasino as well.

The guillotine falls on 27th June for most casinos that are pulling out. We need to wear black armbands on that date - very very sad.

I would love clarification though - is it due to a taxation issue, or Australia trying to protect its citizens from problem gambling? So many stories going around relating to both options.

If the latter, just another nail in the coffin of our freedom to determine what we choose to spend our leisure time - and money - on.

If the former - that just illustrates the incompetence of our dearly beloved govt.

We could accuse our Government of many things...but "beloved" is certainly not one of them. Seriously though...You can blame this on that fool of a Senator from SA with "the name that cannot be pronounced". I'm a political junkie...but I honestly couldn't count on one hand the politicians that I would guarantee aren't corrupt. That is really sad and makes me bloody angry at the same time...both at them and the welfare sucking retards that we actually FORCE to vote.

BTW: I did construe your use of the word "beloved" as sarcasm...LOL

But....but...but...I meant it. Our govt is our beloved mentor, with our best interests at heart....trained by Kim Jong-un himself. :smilewink:

And yes, Nick Xenophon is a scare-mongering, self-righteous prat.

Hi Niklas...just confirming...Do you see any reason or likelihood that Aussie players will be banned by Codeta in the forseeable future?

Thanks in advance

Ozzy

the official stance of the Australian government is that they're doing it to protect the players, of course. The government always acts in the best interests of their people, nothing funny going on, we swear :)

I think there's more to it than that, perhaps the people in charge of the regulation law don't like gambling, or had some problem gambling in their families, or perhaps the brick and mortar Casinos have promised to donate a lot of cash, which is more likely. I'm pretty sure there was some outside influence, and another problem was that there was a lot of gambling advertising, maybe too much and it got on politician's nerves. The real causes will remain hidden behind the stance of "we're doing this to protect the people, and the youth"

Seems I can't deposit at 32Red anymore. It wont even let me play in practice mode. :/
Has every Aussie lost there account or have some managed to retain it?
I've heard of some casinos retaining old members in these cases.

What casino's are you guys actually left with?. I moan very vocally about casino's on a whole, but coming from the uk I couldn't actually be more lucky with the choices of money drainers i can choose from.

I think there's still a fair few operating as normal, including high reputation ones.

32Red closed down for Australians a month or so ago.

I still play at Casino Mate occasionally ------- no news from them that they are closing their door to us.

It appears the changes impact online casinos with a sports book or poker.

I am assuming this is why casino's that have no sportsbook or poker offering are still open for Australian customers.

Guts, Betsafe, Super Lenny etc all had sportsbooks. From what I have been told Videoslots are still going to accept customers.

Not heard of them before. Is there more plans of others like 32 red closing down? Can't see where you are going to be left to play to be honest

My knowledge is limited but Codeta...Dublinbet and House of Jack are goers.

Both Codeta and Dublinbet are right up there when it comes to Live Dealer Tables with a myriad of choices. If Roulette is your thing...there are even single zero wheels with the La Partage rule which pays 50% of stake on all even money bets on zero, which effectively gives the House only a 1.35% edge which is comparable to Baccarat.

House of Jack sounds OK but not for me with their Live Dealer Baccarat. They appear to utilise Microgaming and over the years Microgaming have reduced the length of their shoes considerably which is no good for a serious Baccarat Player. I'm guessing that this is designed to screw with your head as it reduces the standard Baccarat Shoe length by 20+ hands and has you thinking that the shoe will end soon and maybe force you to rush into making a bet when you shouldn't.

So saying...Online Casinos aren't the only ones who try to screw with your head. Bricks and Mortar Casinos do the same...maybe even more so.
A friend of mine was playing a major US Casino and picked up 64 units ($120K) just last weekend playing Baccarat and was taken aside and they insisted that he would have to stop making selective bets and would have to bet every hand even though they agreed that there was no advantage play in Baccarat. He said "That's OK...I'll bet Table Minimum until I see a better opportunity." That also was given the kibosh with management insisting that he could only bet a minimum of 50% 0f his highest bet...which for him with a highest bet of 3 units ($6K)...he would have been forced to bet every hand at a minimum of $3K and not raise his bet higher than $6K. He didn't create a fuss...just cashed in his chips and caught the next flight outta there.
I'm guessing that was the last thing they wanted or expected. They were trying to screw with his head which would have given them a good chance of getting their money back...but he... "took the money and run"...LOL

He's a lot more mild mannered than this crusty old Aussie...I'm afraid I would have been saying something like..."OK...let me get this straight... you expect me to play under different rules to every other Baccarat Player in your Casino...You want to choose how often I bet and how much I bet...How about we just cut out the middleman and I just give you my Debit Card and Pin?"
Basically that particular Casino was saying..."There are no betting restrictions here as long as you don't win"...A pretty dangerous position to take in this day of the Internet and Social Media where word amongst the gambling community would spread like wildfire.
My friend is heading back to a different Casino (but still owned by the same group) this weekend coming, to check if he has been "Black Listed" or if as he suspects...this was just a reaction from a lower level bottom feeder that hadn't thought through the possible consequences to the reputation of the Casino (when a good reputation is money in the bank)

Funny thing though...a close friend took the same casino for over $2 million and not a peep out of them, and I hear that he was thought of so highly that a few of the Casino Executives even attended his funeral....Go figure...

BTW:I'm a vindictive old bastard...If he finds he is Blacklisted by this particular Casino Group...I will make it my personal crusade to "Name and Shame" them on every gambling Forum on the planet.:D

I believe Dublinbet is ok for existing players.

Not heard of them(CasinoMate) before. Is there more plans of others like 32 red closing down? Can't see where you are going to be left to play to be honest

CasinoMate is an accredited casino - CM 8.4 rating.

My knowledge is limited but Codeta...Dublinbet and House of Jack are goers.

Dublinbet do not allow new players from Australia although I believe existing players are still ok.

Thanks for that Info m'lady:thumbsup:

It has me thinking though...Do I really want to be making substantial deposits when I could get turfed at any time?:(

Looks like it's Codeta for me...

Jackpot City is another accredited casino still running. Just lost $50 with them this morning. They still offer the option of downloading the software which contains some of the old microgaming games, I've noticed some casinos have dropped them, and their platform is straight from online, which is a bit of a bugger when you don't have an internet plan wastes a lot of data.

Goldrun Casino (Holland Power Gaming) is still allowing Aussie players.

Has MG, Netent, PlaynGo, Betsoft and HPG.

Seems ok, although there are limited currency options, and a 5k weekly withdrawal. Also from memory quite a low max bet limit.

I don't know if anyone else has further experience of this casino? I play there, but so far have not been lucky enough to withdraw. I only deposit GBP20 max so not really much chance to make a withdrawal - or my fortune.

From what I have been told Videoslots are still going to accept customers.
Video Slots are accepting Aussies atm but I'd rather not play there.

I'd rather play at 32Red, even though they have basically stopped giving match bonuses, I still like that casino.

QUESTIONS:
I'm in the process of trying to find out if we will ever get our casinos back?
And what was the official reason for outlawing internet casinos?

The government are also trying to implement a tax upon eBay purchases which might prevent Aussies from purchasing on eBay from overseas.

I still have Slotsmillion, Jackpot city, Platinum Play, Betat, Video Slots, Casino Cruise, Slotty Vegas, Casino Luck, Next Casino, Wildslots, Leo Vegas, Gday Casino, Casino Mate, House Of jack and Codetta recent sign up.

House of Jack wish it was accredited really good experience there with deposits and withdraws :)

QUESTIONS:
I'm in the process of trying to find out if we will ever get our casinos back?.

For interested players: Mark from 32Red tells me that it's possible that the Australian government might negotiate terms and let certain online casinos do business with Australians.

It might happen or it might not. But that's one hope Aussie players have in the future.

Does House of jack have a rep?

Was anyone else playing at house of jack and get completely cut off due to maintanence? Anyone know how long thats going to be for? Was finally having a good run of course
