N1 Casino confiscated my winnings and my deposit

Hello,
I deposited 60 EUR and played on N1 Casino. I obtained some bonuses and played. I won 500 EUR in lightning dice. I requested two withdrawals. 83 EUR, and 572 EUR of my winnings. Casino instead of contacting me, froze my funds and reduced my balance to 0 EUR and stated I had violated T&Cs by "betting over 5 EUR per bonus bet", which I was never informed of and the casino had no software to enforce this restriction.

Casino did not warn me, and did not allow me to speak to a manager. Casino is now also withholding my original deposit, which is separate.
When I notified them that withholding my deposited amount constitutes theft, they got nervous and decided to release 30 EUR. I am still waiting for that amount. I notified them I had called Danish Police about this incident, to which they ignored my request to speak with a manager.
Update: Casino promised me to speak with a manager, then withdrew the promise saying they did not have to.
I told them this is theft, they are ignoring me.

Find our official writeup on N1 Casino here.

Which bonuses did you accept? If there is a max bet stated, then there's a max bet. You can't count on the software to control that. Most casinos aren't set up for that anyway. Which is another reason NOT to play with a bonus.

Hi Chris

You state that "you obtained some bonuses and played".

If that's the case then did you read the T&Cs associated with the bonuses? As it's not up to the casino to warn you. You must be pro-active and find/read the terms yourself.

If it states that you cannot play over 5 Eur per spin/hand, and you exceeded that, then you would indeed be in breach of their T&Cs and your winnings may be forfeited.

Sorry to break the bad news but you must read the T&Cs before playing so you don't fall foul of the rules they apply.

I wish you luck on getting your winnings. 🤞

I want my 83 EUR back, which were also confiscated and were completely unrelated to the Casino's disputed 572 EUR. They are also keeping my 60 EUR deposit confiscated.
After informing them this was theft, they released 30 EUR. Sorry but this is theft.

But if you breached the bonus terms, I am not sure if you'd be refunded all of your deposits. Refunding of deposits usually happens when it turns out you should have been a banned player - like with self exclusion, etc.

Always read the terms man come on that's rookie shit. Every single deposit I make with a bonus regardless of how many times I have used it before I double check bonus terms up and down. Specifically for "Max bet while wagering & Max withdrawal amount".
At a new casino I check general terms Nd bonus terms thrice before even considering a deposit as well as hours of research .

I NEVER PLAY AT ANY N1 CASINO , NEVER WILL.

But you my friend just gave the shadiest slimey company the easiest and actually legal money they will ever earn from online gamblers.

I'm sorry for your loss sir.

Thanks. I will never ever recommend N1. I see another Dutch couple were similarly cheated out of their deposits. My lawyer will serve them papers later this week. I am also considering going to EU Ombudsman. I believe they are in breach of EU law in multiple ways.

The terms of submitting a complaint here is to agree to NOT be posting about your complaint in the forum. Now you are threatening the casino with legal action, and the casino has not been able to address this here. I think that is a bit premature - don't you think?

Max will be back to work on Sunday - and he just might toss your PAB in the bin. That's up to him.

So then I will remove this post. But I am new to this. The casino has treated me with absolute discourtesy.

I have not filed any legal papers yet and was hoping Casinomeister would help beforehand needing to escalate
Have you read the rules of this forum? They are pretty crystal clear:

Posting Complaints
WARNING!! ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY

2.1 - Complaints against casinos will only be posted in the "Online Casino and Poker Complaints" section and within the appropriate forum.

2.2 - Do not post a complaint without notifying the appropriate casino representative: They can be found here. If you cannot locate the appropriate casino rep, please inform us by stating so in your initial post. FAILURE TO NOTIFY THE CASINO REP MAY JEOPARDIZE YOUR ACCOUNT.

2.3 - Ensure your complaint is free from offensive or abusive language: We simply ask that your complaint is tactful and truthful. Making false claims are grounds for banishment or drawn and quartering.

2.4 - Casinomeister does not condone player fraud in any shape or form: If you knowingly commit fraud (creating bogus casino accounts, using fake IDs, committing Credit Card fraud, chargebacks, etc.) you will be permanently banned from Casinomeister.

We have a strict no tolerance policy: If you break any of the posting complaints rules, you may find your account closed permanently. Please respect our rules and comply as well as you can.

I can understand your frustration but if its in the terms its in the terms. Also I know from personal experience Danish lawyers are not cheap - so even "serving" papers will cost way more than your deposits. But im not sure what papers they could hope to file. I would take this as a harsh lesson to always read the T&C of a casinos terms and if you dont like them dont play.

Thanks for actually showing support to a player who wagered fair and share as opposed to a casino that consistently cheats out players. I'm not the first to report this casino
Just let it go man. If they've got you on the T's and C's then you haven't got a hope in hell of getting that cash. Its not worth the emotional energy in trying to fight it. I've been there and done that a few times. I literally don't count any withdrawals until they hit my bank account nowadays.

Every single time when you register to the casino you accept terms and conditions.
As you can see there is mention about max.bet. in general rules. I don't know why you think that the casino is cheating you if you yourself have broken the casino's rules. In the casino world you really should read T&C very carefully before playing. If you violate terms the culprit is not the casino. The culprit is the player

In this case you screwed up by not reading the casino’s terms and conditions. And you also screwed your PAB by…not reading the forum’s terms and conditions. That, my friend, is irony.

Try to find a pattern in this, learn from it, and move on.

Doe geen moeite....

I mean, dont bother. That lawsuit is worth more then what you gain from it. You broke the terms; you should have read before even accepting it.

Personally i would avoid N1 in it's complete as a player.

@chrisjorg121 FYI insofar as player complaints go we have a good working relationship with N1. I see you've submitted your PAB so I'll proceed with that ASAP. They usually respond fairly quickly so this shouldn't take long.

That said I think it worth mentioning that your statement above that "the casino had no software to enforce this restriction" is totally true and equally irrelevant: it's your responsibility to read the Terms, not the casino's responsibility to pro-actively force them upon you.

I was half-expecting @Casinomeister to mention this for April 1st given the spate of such incidents 🤣 - such as introducing a PAB quiz before you can submit your complaint...

Q1: The first rule of PAB club is...
a) don't talk about your PAB in public,
b) spam the forum with unfounded accusations,
c) post a funny gif,
d) complain to the ADR first and waste Max's time

... and of course, the answer is A (although I'm sure many would accept C as well)... don't get your PAB canned!

@chrisjorg121 , we were about to start work on your PAB but I see you've already involved the police and that makes our involvement highly problematic. I'm afraid we'll have to withdraw and allow you to proceed with that as you see fit.

Next time please do read the Player Arbitration Policies and Procedures __before__ you file your PAB. You'll save us both from wasting time and effort.

it's incredibly unfair emotionally, it's the first time I hit 500x on lightning dice, having played for a long time. I am so angry at the discourteous way they behaved, with ZERO remorse. They also behaved shamelessly, saying them confiscating my money was 'an inconvenience'. Fuck them, if I could I would shut N1 down by force.
