My online slots videos (plus UK AWPs)

Love the fallout series. Still go back and play fallout new vegas every now and then, such a great game.

I loved Fallout also. Its the main reason why I wont buy a console because it takes over my life, but the kids are getting to that age now.

Completed Fallout 3 plus expansion packs 3 times over, no kidding. Man that game nearly ruined me. Not as much as Championship Manager though. My game rating mentioned something about losing my job and I nearly did. Oh, to be young and carefree again.

Edit: Just been watching vids and it was Fallout 4 not 3 I went mad on.

Edit: Continued watching vid and I was right first time, was 3. See how it affects me!

Rather a long video for this one, as I get properly stuck into one of NetEnt's newer games, 'Wild Worlds', and one of my favourite new slots of recent times, 3Dice's excellent 'Berrini's Fortune'. (Seriously, I'd take it any day of the week over any of BTG's output.)

Includes a full rules guide and game explanation for Wild Worlds, as some folks have said they've been finding the rules a bit confusing.

£200 of real funds in play, £100 at Videoslots, and £100 at 3Dice.

Video covers two days' worth of gameplay. (I trimmed it down quite a bit in the edit, but it's still got a runtime of 1h39m, so hopefully you're in the mood for a longer watch!)

Gameplay recorded 3rd and 4th August.

Just another cheerful tale of the joys of addiction.

This is an amazingly open and honest account of how the mind of a compulsive gambler works.

Whilst I suppose everyone can relate to it in some form, there are only going to be a small percentage of readers who can truly relate to the mindset and irrational thinking you go through in that situation.

The reason I found it so compelling is because I was seeing myself in your shoes. I am a compulsive gambler but like you I have managed to get it under control.

Everything you touched on brought back flooding memories of those moments of despair, lies, hopelessness, irrational behaviour etc. It’s strange how we remember those moments with such clarity.

To truly empathise with you I think you have to have gone through a similar meltdown. I can relate to everything you say it’s like a mirror image of what I went through. Anyone who hasn’t been through it can never imagine what it’s actually like.

Like you stated this starts as a seemingly harmless bit of fun but grows and goes unnoticed for a long time. Then suddenly you are in that nightmare and there seems no way out and what makes it worse is by then the only way out you know is gambling which just accentuates the problem. By this time even though you don’t recognise it and your resourcefulness tells you there is hope you are on the spiral to destruction.

I never ever thought there would come a day when I could gamble, enjoy it and be sensible about it. All my gambling life this scenario seemed impossible. I would never stop until all my money was gone and winning just meant more to lose tomorrow.

I think the hardest thing for me personally is that I have many good traits and I feel that I am a decent person but for years I couldn’t control the one negative I had that blew all my good points into oblivion.

The good thing is we came out of the other end of the tunnel and can reflect on it daily as a constant reminder to never go in there again.

Thank you snorky, it's feedback and comments like that which make doing these Gambling Low Ebbs videos worthwhile.

When I did the first one it was because I found myself thinking one day, 'You know, I've never seen or heard anyone give a complete and frank account of how fucking awful gambling addiction is, it's always explained away as people being horrible deadbeat losers, and never seems to consider that there's often a good and decent person behind the addiction who really doesn't want to be like this, I'll try and give those people a voice.'

That’s right all you ever really hear on TV is a snipped version or watered down brief headline of how somebody got into trouble gambling or a more in depth account of how a high profile personality for example footballers/sportsperson blew millions gambling.

The general public are not really going to empathise or sympathise with this scenario as they will just think we’ll you had millions, why did you need to gamble?

My first thoughts on watching your video was this really should be aired on TV as a true insight to others of what we go through. Not so everyone can say oh poor you but so people understand just how strong and awful the addiction is.

Tbh the video is so well put together with a bit of funding behind it I think it would make an amazing mini series or documentary. With gambling being as high profile as it is now this is something the public should see. A view from someone who has got the tee shirt and not some polished over version that papers over the cracks.

Thanks again snorky for your kind comments, I sometimes think that addicts are actually some of the nicest people to know, because they understand suffering and thus understand the suffering of others better, whatever form it may take.

'Let he who is without sin cast the first stone' - as the saying goes.

(Although addicts can be very problematic when actively in the throes of addiction, of course, and I speak there as a former addict.)

My goal with this series of videos is to afford some sense to (as much as that is possible), and an explanation for, (and understanding of), the chaos of addiction.

I wouldn't wish it upon anyone, because it's fucking horrible.

OMG yeah the chaos. Jeez where would I begin? The thing is it manifests itself in such a way that you develop other unwanted traits that solve things short term but make it more problematic long term. Which buys you reprieve but it’s going to bite you in the ass one day.

The problem is you don’t care at that moment in time. All you care about is nobody finding out and making sure you have a large chunk of money to gamble with. Another problem is compulsive gamblers (not saying I am) in general are fairly smart people and very resourceful and through necessity become very good liars.

Unfortunately this is a catastrophic combination when it comes to equating the total of the damage done. It means that we have taken it to the absolute max before we can no longer hide it.

The awful things I did shocked everyone who knew me apart from a couple of close friends and even they, until then didn’t know half of it.

I have never sat down and told anyone the full truth. Tbh I don’t think anybody has that much time of their life to spare.

On reflection having come out the other side I am at a loss to explain why I did it. I had always gambled quite heavily but never to the point where it was a problem. I had always earned reasonable money and didn’t have many outgoings. The problem started when FOBTS came along. That’s why I have such a profound hatred of them.

I became totally addicted and obsessed with them. I was in a situation where I had access to money and my job meant I could spend hours playing these things with no questions asked. Anyway at the risk of never being able to find a suitable place to stop and having a post that’s 100 pages long I will stop there.

My problem is like yourself if I am going to tell the story I will leave no stone unturned and because this went on everyday apart from holidays for 4 years you can appreciate there would be a lot to tell.

Maybe at some point if I ever have that much spare time I will piece it back together, maybe a part of me needs to tell the whole story somehow and somewhere as a final exorcism of the devil that lay within.

Kingmaker video (already posted to the Kingmaker thread, just keeping all the links together in this thread).

This next video is Unlisted, and is for the game CLOCKWORK MICE.

95.45% RTP, 250x stake hard win cap (stated in the rules that the bonus round ends if 250x is achieved).

You may scoff at a 250x jackpot, but that's a better pay than I achieved on Kingmaker in 11,500 spins, losing a £600 bankroll on 40p spins.....

The 250x jackpot is achieved by:

1) Five wilds on a winline in the base game
2) If you hit 250x in the bonus round
3) If you eliminate all the numbers on the clock in the bonus round

Clearly I was going to grind it out......

It's actually got a proper jackpot screen!

Any more videos in the No Limit City series coming soon? :)

I may go back and finish it off at some point, but the end of the last session left a bit of a sour taste in the mouth!

Damn near made a man jelly mess in my pants when I saw this was now playable in the emulator:

And here's the BTG feature gamble video just for completeness:

Pretty much typical for EC - You have a 1/10 chance approx. of gambling to 24 spins and you did it once.
Millionaire, getting to 20-spin lifeline is about 1/10 too, so again about par.

Millionaire is a great exponent of the 'bogus wild' beneath reel 2 as you saw, and wins in the bonus are less frequent than on EC/Bonanza due to the higher volatility achieved via more frequent 117,649 'all-the-ways' spins.

This is why I prefer the straight simplicity of Bonanza - it fucks you good and honestly instead of disguising it behind bright colours and false hopes.

I really enjoyed your BTG Gambling Frenzy Video Chops.
Watched it last night when wife and kids were in bed, lying on the couch with a cup o' tea. :D
Always have to laugh about your love-hate relationship with BTG, a bit like myself, so recognizable.
One moment you curse them and after a decent bonus it ain't all that bad all of a sudden.

Also I like your genuine excitement if you hit a 40x - 50x bonus even if you bet just £0.20 a spin.
That is just genuinely enjoying slotting without going haywire like all those high stake freakazoids out there.
I would watch this any day! Keep 'em coming.

Also would like to ask, that slot you were playing at 3Dice, would it be worth giving it a shot with €100.00 at €1.00 spins?
As I see the bonus comes in at a reasonable rate and could pay decent.
I mean that first slot with the cash or free spins randomizer.

Was thinking of giving it a go tonight, haven't played at 3Dice since I got ripped off by that other slot you were playing after with the wilds wizzards and upgrade wheel.
Played it last year and lost €250.00 on €1.00 bets in less that 45 minutes, it was pure evil..But I heard you saying in the video that slot can be very volatile and spiky.

Thanks lotusch I appreciate the comment :) I like to keep my deposits and stakes at sensible levels, as for me the excitement is still there even if I'm winning relatively small amounts in absolute cash terms.

You can make just about anything look like a MONSTER WIN if betting ridiculous amounts such as 50EUR a spin or whatever, but for me it's all about the multiplication of stake, and presenting a form of gabmling that I think is realistic and sensible. (Plus I have no forms of affiliation or monetisation whatsoever attached to the channel, which means I can speak my mind and don't have to watch my Ps & Qs.)

As for the 3Dice games, Berrini's Fortune isn't as spiky as some 3Dice slots but I wouldn't want to take it on at £1 spins on a £100 bankroll, I'd guess the feature frequency is fairly sensible at 1/150 or something like that, but I've had it want over 500 spins for a feature on one occcasion. By all means give it a go but betting 1% of your bankroll is a bit on the dangerous side with 3Dice slots IMO. Why not go in nice and gentle on 25p spins or suchlike, to get a feel for how it rolls, before committing to bigger spins? (Or just go into play money mode on £1 spins and see how it goes.)

Enchanted Spins can be brutal, it'll chew through 500x stake without blinking if you catch it wrong, you need to be hitting one of either the wilds in the base game or the feature on a reasonably regular basis to see your balance remain healthy, get them both coming in regularly and you'll be nicely in profit, but manage to miss both (which does happen!) and it'll destroy you. I've had it chew through £100 deposits on 20p spins with very little reply, quite rare but it can and does happen.

There's a decent four-parter of an extended session I had at 3Dice last year, which demonstrates how well you can do there on a good run, but of course there's a flipside to that, and you always need to be aware that the spikiness of their games is capable of biting you on the arse!
